After that day I tried to avoid him. My mom kept on asking me to go to his house to give him lunch but I made excuse. It's been a week now.

Today he is coming for lunch and mummy is going out.

"Mummy, can't you stay for lunch at least?"

"No sweety, I've to go to see your aunt, she is ill."

"How can you leave me alone at home with that jerk?" I asked my mom. I was quite happy to see him but nervous too as I'll be alone to entertain him. I'm still angry for his behavior on the other day.

"As I said I've to go. And you know he had a off today, so I invited him. So treat him nicely, don't fight or argue with him, be polite and kind."

'Polite and kind'. He is the one who need to learn to be 'polite and kind'. I thought.

"Ok, mom. Love you, miss you. Take care"

"Love you too, take care."

After hugging me she left for her journey.

Then I went to kitchen and started preparing the lunch.

"Let's make something which he wouldn't like to eat," I said to myself. And started preparing my lunch.

It's time for lunch and he would arrive any moment over hear. I thought.

Just then the bell rang. When I opened the for I felt like time has stopped. I was caught in those brown eyes. He might have notice that, because he was smirking at me.

"Hey princess," He said.

"I'm not a princess," I retorted.

To my surprise he started laughing a genuine laugh. "Normally girls start blushing, when they are called a princess," he said entering the house.

"I'm not like those girls of yours," I replied angrily. "And I didn't ask u to come in."

"Thanks for being hostile," He replied.

"Your welcome," I shot back.

"BTW where is aunty?"

"She went to see my aunt, she is not feeling well."

"Why? Everything alright?" He asked sounding concerned. I tried to see whether he was really concerned or trying to sound so, to my surprise he was concern.

"Yes, nothing serious. But mom was worried for her," I replied looking in his eyes whole time.

"OK. So, we are alone at home it seems," He asked playfully.

"Why are you so excited?"

"Nothing, it's just that you were avoiding me past one week and now you are stuck with me, in this house alone," He said.

"Why do you think I was avoiding you?" I asked angrily.

"After that day at my house, you daily made an excuse for not delivering my lunch. You can fool your mom not me," I narrowed my eyes. "As far as I know you. You didn't like the way I behaved with you," He continued.

I looked away from him. "That's not true," I lied.

"Whatever," He said. I knew he didn't believe me but didn't press on the topic. "What's for the lunch today? Let me guess did you make it?" He asked.

I just nodded.

"Oh! Then I've to try it," He exclaimed.

I again nodded, but I was smiling evily in my mind.

When sat for lunch I asked him to taste with an innocent face.

"Wow! it's amazing," He said after tastings everything.

To say I'm surprised is an understatement. I've made chapatti, rice, sweet dal and extra spicy bhaji. Sweet dal and spicy bhaji is not liked by many people.

"What?" He asked smiling at me, when he saw my confused face. When I didn't reply, he continued. "Now I get it, you made it all thinking I won't like it," He said laughing at me. "But sorry to disappoint you princess, I like it all."

"Hmm," was all I could say and started having my lunch.

"You know, I'm really sorry, if you felt bad that day. But I was really running late. I didn't mean to hurt you," He said. I can see that he was genuinely sorry.

"It's OK," I replied truthfully.

After that we had our lunch laughing, making fun of each other like old best friends. God I love his laugh. He is so good.

"Sooo....?" He trailed off. He was standing behind me and I was cleaning dishes.

"So?" I asked when he didn't continue.

"I-I.. was thinking. W-would you li-like to go out with me, tomorrow?" He shuttered while asking me. "As my sorry for that day," He quickly added.
