It had been three weeks since I've been living with Ryder and to say it was amazing was an understatement. Everything was like a dream with him, he made me so happy. I never thought I could meet someone who could make me this happy.
Since living with him we've gotten closer than ever, we even have our own routine now. Whoever woke up first made breakfast then we would lounge around all day unless he had work. Which most of the time he did but, that didn't stop him from spending time with me as much as he could. Then he would take me out for dinner if not we made it together.
By now I felt like we were an old married couple only with less arguing, it was rare if we did argue.
Either way nothing but, laughs and smiles are shared when we're together. Let's not forget all of the sweet kisses he seems to love to give me. They always had my heart pounding a hundred miles per second. Ryder also knew this and took pleasure in making me flustered on purpose.
My favorite times with him though we're our late night talks. Every time we would climb into bed we would cuddle and stay up for hours just talking. Talking about anything and everything, we talked about his family and his childhood then mine. We never brought up my family maybe my mom but, that's it.
Ever since that day my dad and I haven't spoken which I wasn't really taking well. Ryder knew this and comforted me as best as he could. I had to admit it made things a lot better knowing I had him. Jeremy on the other hand had been hardly speaking to me he says he wasn't mad but, deep down I knew he was.
"Goodmorning beautiful." I heard Ryder's deep voice sleepily say as his arms snaked around my waist from behind.

This was a total distraction, him touching me and me cooking at the same time didn't go well together. I was making breakfast since I had woken up first.
"Goodmorning." I said as I giggled slightly from him putting his head on my shoulder.
He then buried his face in the crook of my neck and whispered sleepily, "Mine."
Over these past weeks I've realized Ryder is still as possessive as he was when I first met him. I never knew why when I was his, his alone. I only smiled at his gesture and turned the stove off as I seen the eggs were cooked. Turning around I put my arms on his shoulders as I held his face.
Looking him over, I've noticed he was busy a lot resulting in him having slight bags under his eyes and he also wore a very sleepy smile. Which I found very cute, he hated it when I called him cute he said it hurt his ego. Whatever.
"Awe you're so cute." I said with a grin of my own and reached up kissing him on the lips.
I felt him instantly react as he pulled me closer, kissing me deeper. Cue my heart pounding out of my chest.
"I'm not cute." he said against my lips pulling away from me.
This only made me smile and turn around to get the plates of food together, "Sure." I mumbled to myself.
I fixed his plate first and set it down on the counter then mine next to his. As he sat down he waited patiently until I rounded the counter and sat next to him.
"So I want you to meet my parents there kind of coming over tomorrow." he blurted out of no where.
"What!" I said as my eyes widen.
"Calm down." he chuckled at my expression, "I didn't find out until this morning or I would have told you ahead of time." he said starting to eat his food.

Now I had a whole other thing to worry about. What if his parents didn't approve of me?
"Don't over think it, they'll love you just as much as I do." he spoke softly already sensing my uneasiness.
A smile broke out onto my face at how much it calmed me hearing him say that, "Okay."
We ate in silence until we were finished and I got up taking my plate and his to the sink.
"There is something else I wanted to talk with you about." Ryder said seriously as he watched me wash the dishes.
This made my uneasiness start up again.
"What is it?" I asked as I put one of the now cleaned plates in the dish rack.
"Well you know how I'm a gang leader." he said warily.
"Yes." I said motioning for him to continue.
I've always thought about him getting hurt while doing that kind of business. Ryder's gang sold drugs and weapons it was bad I know but, it helped the people who were in his gang earn some money for their families. Everyone in the business was less fortunate and he wanted to build something that was solid for them.
It was also a place that people could join if they didn't have a family of their own. Ryder had told me everyone looked out for one another just like a family would. While he spoke to me about the gang one night I couldn't help but, notice how passionate he was about it, about them. It was like his second family.
"I want you to meet them." Ryder said all seriousness in his tone.
This made a glass slip from my hand hitting the sink a little too hard, shattering it. In a second Ryder was next to me with his hand on my lower back.
"Are you okay, did you cut yourself?" he asked concerned, reaching for my hands to examine.
"No I didn't I'm fine." I said, flipping my hands over to show him no signs of injury.
"Well fuck Octavia you scared me." he said with a chuckle and started to grab the broken glass from the sink, "How did you drop it?"
"I was just surprised by what you said." I spoke genuinely.
"About wanting you to meet the gang?" he asked throwing the broken glass away and turning to me in which I nodded.
I was just as nervous as meeting his parents as meeting the gang. What if they didn't think I was worthy enough to be with Ryder, their leader. They were like a family to him and I wanted to be accepted by them just as much as by his parents.
He sighed and looked at me, "If you don't want too-"
I cut him off quickly, "I do, I really do I'm just-"
Now it was his turn to cut me off, "Nervous? They won't hurt you Octavia." he said kind of defensively.
"No I didn't mean it like that." I said back quickly trying to avoid him getting mad.
"Then what did you mean?" he asked, I could just sense the anger building.
We have tried numerous times to work on his anger and he's gotten much better. Only when it was about topics that were important to him was when all the progress went out the window.
I must have not replied quick enough because, the next thing I know he's walking away, "Exactly." I heard him mumble.
What a great morning.
