We both turn around seeing Illumi. We jump back. Why was he at Whale Island? Was he here because Killua was here.
Illumi: Come on little brother we need to go home
Killua: No way!
Illumi: *grabs his wrist* I'll take you by force if I have to
I grab Illumi's wrist and pull him off of Killua.
Me: He's not going so just leave!
I look around and see that people are staring at us, I grab Killua's hand and run.
I didn't know where but far away from Illumi. I wasn't going to lose my best friend again.
Killua: What are you doing Gon?!
Me: *stops running and looks at him* I'm not letting you leave me again
Killua: I wasn't going to go with him, I came here because I wanted to get away from them
Me: Come on I know where we can hide
I turned back to make sure he was following me. He was. We climbed up to this cave where I would come and relax and sat there. I didn't see any sign of Illumi and sighed in relief.
Killua: Since when did you find this place?
Me: I found it a couple years ago
Killua: How? It's on the other side of the island
Me: Well after we parted ways I left home and found this cave. I slept here for about two months until I went back home.
Killua: You were that upset?
Me: No
Killua: Oh
Me: I was just figuring out everything, it took a while. That's why when I heard you were coming to visit I got really excited and acted as if I was still 12. And when I saw you you seemed like you weren't excited or something
Killua: Oh I never knew that
Me: Well that's because I never told you *smiles*

Killua: *stands up and looks out* He knows where we are
Me: What?
Killua: Illumi is close
Me: Damn well we can't go home
Killua: We can just wait
I looked at him with a worried look on my face. We didn't know what Illumi was thinking we didn't know how far or how close he was. We just knew that he knew where we were. We waited out for 20 minutes and heard footsteps behind us.
Me: Who is it?
Killua: Is there another entrance?
Me: No this is the only one, do you think they were in here the whole time-
Hisoka: *slowly claps* Oh what a wonderful performance that was
We both turn and look at Hisoka who was sitting on a rock staring at us. How did he get in here?
Hisoka: I bet you're wondering how I got here *creepy smile* It's easy I planned where you too where going and went there first hoping I was right
Killua: Why are you here?
Hisoka: Oh that's easy, I'm here because he sent me *points to the entrance of the cave*
We both turn around and see Illumi standing at the entrance of the cave.
Illumi: *walks further into the cave* You see we've been watching you guys since yesterday but you just now noticed us
Me: *face turns red* So you heard everything?
Illumi: Yup so I heard all about your confessions
I look down clearly embarrassed.
Killua: Ok so what? Why are you even following us?
Hisoka: Like we said-
Killua: Shut up clown I didn't ask you
Illumi: Well father sent me to pick you up, I knew you would put up a fight so I asked Hisoka to help me
I looked at Killua who had a sad look on his face. He wasn't telling me something. Actually why did he even come to Whale Island? All he said is that he needed to get away from his family or something like that.

Me: Come on Killua we're leaving *turns around and starts walking*
Hisoka: *manages to get in front me making me stop* No no no little boy you stay here~
I turned around and walked back to Killua who was silent.
Me: Why are you wanting him home again?
Illumi: *rolls his eyes*
Me: Come on just answer my question!
Illumi: Ok fine if it will shut you up. Our father gave Killua a job and instead of doing it he came here. But it helped us find you
Me: What do I have to do with anything?
Illumi: Killua you didn't tell him?
Killua: No
Me: Tell me what
Illumi: Go in tell him
Killua: My father gave me the job to kill you Gon.. So I came here to say goodbye..
Me: What do you mean to say goodbye?

Recruit - An Infinite Labyrinth prequel
A prequel to The Infinite Labyrinth. The year is 1816. The British Empire is in full swing, under the auspices of King George III. The Infinite Labyrinth has been pouring out its product from beyond our reality and fostered a new industrial revolution. Times are changing, and the people of London are feeling the winds of the revolution while British Professionals push into the Labyrinth. The newly formed Artefact Hunting Company is looking for recruits, and they have new technology to help them. From the slums of London, they aim to recruit a new wave of Professionals. And make Zacharias and the Earl of Carnavon lots of money. So, for Rowan Rivers and a handful of lucky ones, it's time to head into the Labyrinth, and discover what makes it different from England. And what makes THEM different? Recruit is a bunch of chapters I wrote to create to the setting, mood, and game systems of the Infinite Labyrinth. It is NOT a complete story in the classic sense. It's more of a slice of life view of early days of a normal Professional from the Infinite Labyrinth, and it's heavy on info-dump. It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.
