sofia woke to an instagram message from an unfamiliar username lighting up her phone.
"rubymae3223" she sighed as she read it. "what does she want now."
"hi, you're sofia right? as in the sofia i met the other day at the spurs game?"
"uh, yes this is she."
"so you and dele, what's the deal?"
"there is no deal. as far as i'm concerned i don't know anyone by that name. he's your boyfriend, i'm not interested in getting in the way of that."
"yeah well you see... you kind of already have. i know that he spoke to a girl not long before we broke up, he didn't tell me who but he came clean. and then we're finally back together and you're back AGAIN trying to steal my man, AGAIN? listen, i'm a girls girl- probably something you'll need to google as it's been established you know nothing about girl code- but i'm really not a fan of you. do yourself a favour, stay away from dele. he's mine. you couldn't manage to get him the first two times so take that as a sign that he will NEVER pick you over me. and leave."
"sorry i'm not sure who you think you are? what gives you the right to message me like this when i have told you straight up i'm not interested in dele and in your relationship. have him, i don't want him. i spoke to him the first time with absolutely no knowledge of him having a girlfriend, i spoke to him the second time when he told me things between you two were completely finished. i'm not a homewrecker i'm not trying to get in between anyones relationship so don't you dare start messaging me attempting to insult me. i feel sorry for you. you're so insecure within your relationship and who blames you? TWICE he has attempted something with me- hiding you from me. i'd be insecure about him too. do yourself a favour, get out of that relationship. there's so many men out there who will treat you how you should be treated. have a nice day."

"whatever. don't contact me or him every again."
"don't plan on it" sofia thought to herself.
despite the way ruby acted towards her, she did feel sorry for her. she couldn't imagine being with someone who treated her the way dele treated ruby. she was wrong about him. sofia always prided herself on her instincts and her first impressions on people- but maybe they weren't as good as she thought because she was convinced he was a good guy. everything that had been happening with him had truly shocked her. she knew she barely knew him, but she felt like she'd known him for years.
"morning angel." her thoughts were interrupted by bella charging into her room with a cup of tea and donuts in her hands. "want one?"
sofia took one without hesitation. "so you'll never guess what i woke up to..." she showed bella the messages between her and ruby leaving bella in hysterics.
"sorry how can she speak to you like that when still defending him? truly i don't understand some girls. men make them do crazy things."
"it must be a thing about the men i attract. never good."
"what about that winks guy?"
"what about him?" sofia replied, puzzled.
"well, p told me he thinks you're fit and i know he told you that too."
"i don't have a judgement on him, i don't even know him."
"no harm in finding out a bit about him is there?" bella winked.
sofia pondered for a minute. "i guess, you could be right. he seems nice enough, decent looking too. worst that can happen is he's dele 2.0, best that can happen is he's not." she shrugged.
sofia picked her phone back up off of the bed.

Contact First
2039 - Earth A narrow beam energy signal appeared aimed squarely at earth from the TRAPPIST system. The communication consisted of a layered set of repeating data over several thousand wavelengths. Over the next few months scientists discovered that the lower wavelengths carried an encoded numerical language which could then be used to interpret the more complicated messages carried on the higher wavelengths. After half a year of painstaking work the signal was fully decoded. It described a small satellite launched along a precise trajectory towards the fourth planet of our solar system. Included was a package of advanced research that humanity would need to have ready in order to receive the satellite and decelerate it safely. The alien data provided the kick that humanity needed to turn from petty squabbling and unite to explore the final frontier. Major government and corporate leaders worked together to create the framework for the United Federation of Sol. UFS spaceports went from scaffolding to daily launches in every major city around the globe. Ships floated like dandelion seeds, spreading on solar wind to grow into colonies. 2397 - Mars orbit, Egeria Station The command center was a hive of activity as checks were conducted and systems initialized. Scientists flitted by like mayflies as communicators beeped and holoscreens spat out green tinted readouts. Nervous energy was thick in the air as everyone anticipated the culmination of over three hundred years of work. Massive fusion reactors under the planet's surface thrummed with barely restrained power as energy fed into a gleaming metallic maze criss crossing the planet. Metal fingers reached up, overshadowing the mighty olympus mons and trying to grab the stars. All over the solar system, people quickly turned to look as gigantic energy lances shot from the dusty fourth planet. Two years later. The same people that clapped loudly at the successful activation of project Hermes now wait with baited breath. A silver capsule trailing bright photonic sails is captured by a net of grav beams and guided with care bordering on reverence into the station. Holoscreens across the headquarters project an image of the sleek craft settling in the bay. Data connections are established and the holoscreens blink to white. Slowly an image forms on the screen. Across the headquarters people stare in wonder as a wholly alien face stares back. "Contact established. Welcome to the universe."

Wrong Side of The Severance
In the waning times of a costly war that spanned several firmaments, one world that was supposed to be cherished by the gods was cast to the wayside, and from everyone’s minds. This world - Berodyl - had flourished under the tender love of the gods for millennia… but no longer. Berodyl stood ready to aid the gods in their strife, but when the time came, the armies of this world never heard the call. They never even saw the battlefield. No. Instead, they found that, once the war had begun, the hierophants no longer heard the whispers of their sacred deities whom they had served so faithfully; only silence now filled the halls of their temples. Some even came from beyond Berodyl’s firmament to take to the sides of those who would fight for the gods. Alas, they soon found themselves stranded in a land abandoned— now, too, abandoned themselves. Now there is but one question weighing down on everyone: can a world such as this - a world once loved, now alone - survive with nought but its own? For an outlander such as Livia, the question seems nearly impossible to answer. The first book of The World The Gods Forgot.

He faced numerous trials, deadly foes and great friends. Eventually, he stepped into the world of the Divine Realm. Breaking past the limits of the world and traveling to higher planes. After millions of years, he finally reached the summit. Becoming a Sovereign Paragon. Longing for the world he left countless years ago, he finally returns to his own world. Author's Note: This story is different from other wuxia novels. If those novels focus on characters that struggle from the bottom and reach the top, this story is one where someone already reached the top. I figured it would be interesting to start a novel from this concept so I started it. Well, however this plays through, just like how I finished my previous novel, Doll's Smile, I'll finish this novel too. Of course, I'm writing this novel just for fun. I like to write lighthearted novels like this. Novels that I would read while listening to music and eating snacks on a pleasant and relaxing afternoon. Do forgive me if I'm slow in writing.
