No words have ever brought me so much joy in my life as the ones that Nurse Clairs speaks to us one morning a month and a half after Faith is born: "She's ready to go home now."

And by the end of the day, she's all snuggled up in my arms and we sit in the waiting room, ready to walk out of the hospital.

"You're about to see the world for the very first time, Faith," I say to her, and my heart hurts at how cute she is as she looks straight up at me.

"And the world is going to see you! You don't mind me spamming our Twitter followers with photos of you every day, do you?" Taehyung asks her, kissing her teeny hand.

Sejin walks into the waiting room and grins at us. "Ready to get out of here?"

"Very," I tell him before helping Taehyung stand up and passing Faith to him.

We follow Sejin out to the car and I'm impressed that there are no fans waiting. I thought they would have somehow figured out that we were leaving today. I'm glad, I didn't want Faith to get overwhelmed by screaming.

When we get home, all the members are waiting at the door.

"Welcome home!" they chorus.

"Now follow us," Hoseok says immediately and takes off.

Namjoon, Jin and Yoongi follow and Jimin pulls Taehyung and I along.

"What's happening?" Taehyung asks, but nobody responds until we get to our room.

Hoseok throws open the door and we all walk in. My mouth drops open. A crib has been set up in the corner and is overflowing with gifts wrapped in sparkly pink and purple paper, and the wall it's pushed up against has been painted with all sorts of colourful things like swirls, smiley faces and animals.

"You guys..." I trail off.

"We were planning to do this after the tour as Taehyung's baby shower," Jimin explains. "But we didn't really get the chance, so here we are! You two were so disorganised, we had to do it for you."

Taehyung and I both laugh.

"You have all the necessities and some other pretty adorable things in there." Jin points at the mountain of gifts.

"Do you like it?" Hoseok asks.

I nod vigorously and Taehyung lets out a happy sigh.

"I love it," he says.

"Thank you so much," I say, and I truly mean it. I look down at Faith, who has fallen asleep on Taehyung. "Faith says thank you, too."

Namjoon grins. "You're welcome. Also, before we get stuck into all the presents, we need to talk."

Taehyung and I look at each other and then back at Namjoon. "About what?"

Namjoon gestures around the room. "About BTS."

The mood turns from happy to solemn in record speed. Taehyung, Hoseok, Jimin and I sit down on the bed and Yoongi and Jin lean against the wall, all of us paying full attention to Namjoon.

Namjoon looks at all of us individually with a heaviness in his gaze, giving all of us time to predict what he's going to say. "I think we should split up."

No one says anything. I don't even feel anything. I don't know how to react.

"Taehyung and Jungkook have a baby they need to look after, Hoseok's about to become a father as well. What we've done in the past just isn't going to work anymore. Even if we stay together, BTS will never be the same," he says. "Those of us who want to, which could even be all of us eventually, can go on with solo careers, either as idols or producers or anything like that. Those who want to focus on other things can. I know it's disappointing to break up during the peak of our success, but I think it's for the best."

There is still silence. Namjoon fidgets nervously. Faith begins to cry and Taehyung bounces her up and down and shushes her until she stops.

"I agree with you," Yoongi says. Namjoon nods and looks around at the rest of us.

"Me too," says Jimin.

"Me too," says Jin.

"Me too," says Hoseok.

"Me too," says Taehyung.

I take another look at my daughter, and then meet Namjoon's expectant gaze. "Me too."

Namjoon's smile bears all of our sadness. "I wanted us to make the decision, not the company." His voice cracks and a tear trickles down his cheek.

Hoseok stands up and gives him a hug. I follow, and one by one so does everyone else. Even Taehyung gently places Faith down on the bed to join in.

"You've been the best leader we could have asked for," Jimin says, his voice thick with tears.

I'm the first one to start sobbing, right into Hoseok's shoulder, and soon we're all crying into each other.

"BTS is the best thing that's ever happened to me," Yoongi says between sobs.

"I'm going to miss you guys so much!" Hoseok cries.

"But we'll all still be friends, right?" Taehyung asks.

"Of course," Jin answers.

I sniff and try to wipe my tears away, but it's no use. "And we'll never forget BTS?"

Namjoon pulls us all in tighter. "Never."

A week later Hoseok has already moved out to be with Tori. We all cried again when he left. But there are still seven people living here.

I tenderly stroke Faith's cheek as Taehyung bottle feeds her. "Look how much she loves you," I say as I watch Faith gaze up at Taehyung.

Taehyung grins. "She better love me after spending so much time in me making me sick and sore and tired." She finishes the bottle and Taehyung lifts her up and kisses her on her forehead. "But it was all worth it, wasn't it Faithy baby?"

He hands her over to me to burp her. "Faithy baby? Is that her nickname now?"

"Why not?"

I finish burping Faith and cradle her in my arms.

"Isn't it weird to think," Taehyung says, "that she has her entire life ahead of her?"

I nod. "What will your life hold, Faithy baby?"

"You'll go to school," Taehyung says, "and make lots of friends because everyone will love you."

"You'll fall in love," I tell her. "But no one will ever be good enough for you."

Taehyung rests his head on my shoulder as we both look at our beautiful baby girl. "And if you have babies yourself, then you'll see how you fall in love in a whole new way."
