"Hey!" Destiny waved as Bella came over to her and Esme.
"Hello, Destiny."
We turned towards the game.
"I see why you need thunder." Bella commented and I laughed nodding.
"This is so exciting." I reply watching the ball sail over the trees.
"That's gotta be a home run, right?" Bella asked Esme. She shook her head.
"Edward's very fast."
I quickly moved out of the way as Rosalie came barreling from 3rd base. Suddenly, the ball came speeding in from the forest and was caught by Esme. Her and Bella tagged her together.
"You're out." Bella whispered.
"Out! Woo!" Emmett confirmed.
Rosalie growled sending Bella a glare.
"It's just a game, Sweetie. You'll do better next time." Destiny whispered. Rosalie huffed walking to the back of the battering line. Not before bumping Bella with her shoulder as she walked by.
Next was Carlisle. She watched with eyes filled with fascination.
"Go, Carlisle." Destiny said shyly. He sent her a smirk before hitting high. Edward and Emmett both rushed to grab it and collided falling down to the ground. He was safe for the moment.
Jasper stepped up.
He hit and Emmett jumped up the tree so quickly that it gave the human girls whiplash.
Rosalie whispered under her breath before she began batting. After she ran, Alice started to space out. She turned towards everyone.
"Stop!"
They all ran and began gathering.
"They were leaving but they heard us." Alice informed.
"Who?" Destiny questioned. Carlisle brushed against her.
"Nomad vampires." He answered before turning to Edward "It's too late."
"At least get her out of sight. This place would normally be full of human children. One scent wouldn't set them off." Destiny stated unsurely.
"She's right. Destiny has been with us for a while. Her scent is covered by ours. Edward take Bella back to Charlie." Carlisle commanded.

"Yea." He sped off holding the human brunette in his arms.
"Carlisle, hold me." Destiny whispered and he tightened his hold around her.
2 male, 1 female.
The dark skinned man looked straight at Carlisle, " I believe this belongs to you." He holds up the ivory colored ball throwing it.
Carlisle catches it, "Thank you."
"I am Laurent. This is Victoria and James." I shuddered under James' look.
"I'm Carlisle. This is my family."
"Hello."
"Your hunting activities have caused... Something of a mess for us." Carlisle informed them as Destiny turned her eyes from James'.
"Our apologies, we didn't realize this territory had been claimed."
"We maintain a permanent resident nearby."
"Really? Well, we won't be a problem anymore. We were just passing through." Laurent assured.
"The humans were attacking us but we lead them east. You should be safe." Victoria added. Something about her voice made Destiny think she was being a bit patronizing.
"Excellent." Carlisle responded tightening his arm around Destiny to the point where she felt like she was in actual danger.
"So, Could you use 3 more players?" Laurent asked. Everyone stared tensely at him.
"Oh, come on, just one game." He pleaded.
"Carlisle. Humor him." Destiny whispered into his chest.
"Why?"
"Just a feeling."
He turned back towards Laurent, "Sure, why not."
"Two of us left. You can take their place." Emmett added. Carlisle tossed the ball to Victoria.
"I'm the one with a wicked curveball." Victoria whispered with a grin.
"Oh well, I believe we can handle that." The boys whooped laughing.
"We shall see..." She whispered glancing towards me as she walked back. James' stare seemed to linger longer as if looking for something.

Carlisle tenses. "He's a tracker."
Destiny slaps his chest "If I know anything about a tracker from having a cat as a child. They want their prey to run or have something protecting it. They don't want an easy catch. Don't make me seem important."
"Smart girl." He kissed her forehead "Very smart."
"Esme will be with me. Play normally." Destiny confirmed passing by him. Her hood was up and her hair was down securely around her neck.
"I'm glad Alice didn't make you wear a jersey." Carlisle said inhaling her scent.
"She did. I just ruined her plans when I found your jacket in Esme's car. I'm asking you why you have a jacket later." Destiny teased trying to ease her fear.
"To keep up appearances." He whispered before speeding off.
Destiny ran towards Esme. "You ok?"
"Yes... James has an odd fixation with Alice." She whispered as the game started.
"What can Laurent do? Or Victoria?"
"Not sure. Not sure." Esme whispered.
"Anxious just thinking about it?"
She laughs "Yea."
"No judgement. If my hood comes off, I'm dead."
"Carlisle will protect you."
"I told him not to."
She gave her a look "Do you real think that he will acknowledge that request when you're in direct danger?"
Destiny blushes hiding her face as Carlisle slid into her view.
"Safe!" Esme called out.
"Good job." She praised and he nods with a longing look.
---
After a moment, Edward returned and we all stared at each other.
"Was a nice game. I hope that we will have another change to play."
"Of course. I can't help but notice that James had his eyes on Alice." James smirked at Carlisle words.
"Just reminiscing. You've become a beautiful immortal, Alice." He baited.
"Wait!" Alice called after him. "You know about my human life."
"Maybe." And with that he sped into the forest with Victoria on his side.
"My apologies for James." Laurent whispered before following them.
Destiny breathed a sigh of relief.
"Carlisle." Alice whispered.
"Wait, Alice. That was a trap. Bait to get you to follow him."
"But..." She trailed off and Jasper held her close.
"Let's go home and calculate the risks. I will drop Destiny off."
"Fine by Destiny." The human whispered leaning back against him as the fear fled leaving exhaustion.
"Should we leave her alone? James has her scent."
Carlisle tensed thinking.
"I can go over Charlie's. His door is always open to me."
"Yes. You and Bella will have strength in numbers..."
"And Edward. He's not gonna leave Bella alone." Rosalie joked. Everyone laughed a bit.
----
Carlisle pulled the car into Charlie's driveway and they could see Bella sneak outside.
"Dad is waiting for you. Edward called me."
"Called or jumped through your window?" Carlisle laughed as Bella blushed.
"Bye." Destiny whispered walking into the doorway with an assuring smile.
"Thanks for your hospitality, Charlie." She whispered. The police chief nodded.
"Your leave is over tomorrow. We can go in together. This stalker must be worrying you."
"Stalker- Oh, Yes." Destiny corrected as he lead her to the guest room.
"Bell, do you have any clothes for her?" Charlie asks.
"Maybe." She walked away to go find some.
"Charlie, I-" he raised a hand.
"I forgive you. Are you alright?" Destiny gulped and nodded.
"Ok, Bells will bring your clothes. Good night."
"Good night, Charlie." She sent him a unintentionally vulnerable look. He gulped and looked away nodding.

Decompose!
Dear diary. When you read stories about some people missing and returning after years of absence claiming they were living in another world, your first reaction is to scoff and dismiss a story as a tall tale, right? I know I did. All the time. Until it happened to me and I no longer did. That day was today. Some god of thunder smote me. If it were Chris Hemsworth, I wouldn't mind but it was some barbaric Hitite god that abaondned Earth some four millennia ago. Yes, what can I say? I love the seventh art. I have more hours watching movies than any other activity, including sleep. What? Do you think I'm exaggerating? Maybe I am. I'll really miss hollywood the most. And my biggest regret is that I never got to visit the holy city of cinema. I did not come to another world to be a hero even though there was hints that they hoped I'd save it. I did not come with overpowered abilities able to, dunno, leap tall castles in a single bound, faster than a speeding crossbow bolt, be more powerful than a eight-horse carriage, the bounds. No. After the asshole god that murdered me brought me to his world, he gave me some boons from his discount bin and "The Power of my Soul (tm)". Forgive my french, I hope you understand I am rather upset at dying. And he somehow decided that my power is to recycle stuff. How awesome is that? Not much at first, I must admit. At least I got all my camping stuff and equipment with me. There's no lycra in the other world. I'll make it someday, but that day is not today. So here I am. In another world, in the middle of nowhere. I'm no heroine. As the song goes, I'm your basic average girl. And I'm assumed to be here to save the world. But almost everything can stop me, because I'm not named Kim. Wish me luck, diary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This novel is going have the following features: slow-paced slice-of-life No GameLit / LitRPG elements. Movie references. Sandra likes the seventh art. Journal / diary style crafting (includes chemistry, engineering and metallurgy) low magic technological advancement (for Sandra, at least. She is not against sharing though) personal relations clash of perception between the modern and ancient customs. bits of tension, fighting, and plot here and there. I won't repeat myself though. Once she crafts a good batch of soap, for example, she'll just note, "I crafted soap again." Once it is estabilished how she obtains compound X, compound X2 that is obtainable from the same process will also just be mentioned. I'll try to be as realistic as I can with the crafting, chemistry, and technology. Cover: Public Domain Image by StockSnap from Pixabay. No attribution required but we do it anyway.

Legend of the Guild: Point Blank
Status: On hiatus indefinitely, because I'm going to be busy and the story is now at a place where it needs major reconstruction. Curt is a young gunslinger from a small town called Ore Town, situated in a barren wasteland known as the Dusts. While sabotaging the gang threatening his town, Curt is forced to take a leap of faith, literally. He plunges into the sea of clouds expecting death, only to arrive in an entirely new world beneath his own. Saved by a young girl using magic, Curt isn't too sure what to make of his second chance of life. When he meets a fellow Duster who had fallen years ago, he's roped into becoming second-in-command of a brand new guild. Guild duties aren't easy, especially as Curt is tasked to recruit fighters to take on the Grand Guild Tournament, where the winning guild takes home an enormous prize pool -- and most importantly, a mysterious ticket to the fabled "Star City" that exists above the clouds. Going with the flow only takes him so far, and Curt soon finds himself burdened with more responsibility than he bargained for, including the fate of the two worlds. ==============================Wordpress This webnovel is written for fun, and everything posted is essentially a first draft. Beware of typos and lack of creative descriptions — my main priority is to get the story out over writing quality. Still, I hope you enjoy the story. Updates are sporadic, but I aim to release a chapter (~2000-3000 words) at least once a week. Average release time is 1 chapter/3 days. I took inspiration from the lore of the MMO, Dungeon Fighter Online (Dungeon & Fighter), and there may be easter eggs or references to the game, but the story and characters have become wholly original and standalone. [Note: Profanity tag is up because profanity is present, but infrequent]
