Destiny woke up with the biggest case of nausea. She trudged to her kitchen before falling to her knees.
"Oh god. Don't puke." She whispered to herself. She reached up to get her thermometer and measured her temperature.
103°
"Fuuuu-" She fell face first onto her couch "-uuuck"
"Ding dong!" Alice announced opening the patio door with ease.
"Aliiiice." Destiny moaned grateful of her daughter/friend.
"Are you alright?" She asked worriedly.
"103 f-fever. I'm gonna throw up if I get up." She replied rolling over and feeling the liquid in her stomach slush around.
"I'll call Carlisle."
"Tell him to bring me soup. I like Chicken Noodle. Campbells, please."
"Kk."
After calling him, Carlisle showed up with flowers, and a bag of chicken noodle soup. A bouquet of red lillies.
"They're beautiful, baby." Destiny whispered leaning on her couch as she touched their petals. They were such a passionate, vibrate red.
"How do you feel?"
"Sick." She stretched as the nausea faded into a pounding headache.
"Yes. Very descriptive. Tell the doctor what's wrong?"
"No, Pervert doctor." She squeaked throwing a couch pillow. Carlisle chuckled beginning to kiss her cheek.
"I'm worried about you."
"It's just a fever. It'll be gone by tomorrow." She kissed his nose.
"I believe that is a plausible hypothesis." Carlisle stated before going to heat up the soup on the stove.
"You know there are microwaves." She commented watching him.
"I do. I just want to put in more work."
"The more work you put in, the longer I have to wait." She groaned.
"You're not even hungry. I can hear it."
"Doesn't mean I don't want food." She pouted. They then went silent for a moment.

"Hey, Carlisle." She said softly almost seriously for once.
"Yes?"
"We've been dating for months now. Correct?" He nods. "I was wondering if..."
Carlisle watched as the human woman buried her head into the couch like a little girl. Her face was flushed but Carlisle couldn't tell whether it was from embarrassment or sickness.
She turned and covered her eyes, "Do you wanna have sex?"
"Right now?" His eyes widened a bit in shock. He didn't realize that such a lustful thought lingered in his mate's mind. Although it should have been exprected.
"No. Like eventually." She said in an exasperated tone.
"I would love to. I'd be happy to..." He stated stirring the bubbling soup. His mind wandering to her underneath him and crying out his name. The vampire rushed to contain himself as he stopped the thought right there.
"If I did want it right now, would you...?" She peeked out shyly.
"We would have to take precautions of course. Vampires can lose control and I'm not an exception." He said indifferently trying to control himself.
"So you would drink me?" Her dark eyes gleamed from behind the arm of the couch.
"No, my strength would likely crush you."
"Have you had sex like this?" She asked turning to look him in the eyes.
"I have had a woman in the past. She stays in the past. I haven't made a move towards her in 40 years."
"Who? She must be a vampire." Destiny said curiously.
"Destiny..."
"What?"
"It's Esme." Carlisle said honestly. There was so advantage in lying to her.
The two sat in silence once again from the bomb that was dropped.
"Did you love her?"
"Destiny..." He sighed, "Yes."

"More than you love me?" She whispers curling up insecurely.
"Never, we have a bond that multiplies our love exponentially. I will never love a woman as much as I love you." He preached turning the stove off to rush towards his lover. She looked up with a fearful expression.
"Does Esme love you?"
"Esme did not. We grew apart because of it. Esme only stayed with me that long for the kids. They were unstable newborns that would bolt if they saw the coven leaders falling apart. Would you expect a kingdom to function if the royal family fell apart?" He explained. Destiny leaned into his chest shaking her head.
"Don't leave me for anyone."
"For anyone." He assured patting her head.
"Liar, You would do anything for those kids." She accused playfully drawing hearts on his chest. He chuckles.
"The soup is done."
"Carlisle, Promise me that they come first. I don't care if they are immortal. I care for you and them too much."
"Calm down there, Mama bear." He cooed picking her up and placing her gently at the table.
"Promise." She stared at him.
"Promise. Now eat." He whispered watching her. She ate all of it and even drunk the delicious broth that was left.
"I'm gonna brush my teeth. Wait here." She stated. He laid back in the chair as a response.
Destiny rushed upstairs brushing her hair and brushing her teeth in order to not make herself look sick. She bent over the sink and thought to herself before taking a whole shower.
Afterwards, she ran downstairs drying her hair.
"You smell wonderful." He stated.
"I had, too. Sick or not, I cannot look unkempt. It's how I was raised." She stated beginning to wash the dish. Carlisle grabbed her hands and pulled her away.
"I'll do it. You, rest."
"Fine but you're gonna have to watch Vampire Diaries with me." Destiny laughed a bit as his head tilted like a puppy. "Oh! That reminds me. I saw a big dog out here once."
Carlisle stiffened, "A big dog?"
"It's was huge and all black. It watched me until I fell asleep."
"That's all you saw?"
"Was I supposed to see something else?" She asked curiously.
"No. You weren't even supposed to see that. Those dogs aren't dogs, they're wolves."
"Werewolves?"
"More like shapeshifters. They are made to kill us. We have a treaty with them and if what you say is true then they crossed treaty lines.
"So... What do you do?" Destiny asked. Carlisle sighed.
"Me and Esme will discuss with everyone in the morning."
The human got up slipping into between him and the sink. "Don't be so tense..." She purred.
He closed his eyes succumbing to her adorable coddling.
"Let's go one a date."
"When?"
"Hmm, Sunday." She decided.
"Where?"
"Don't make me figure this out on my own."
"I got a place in mind but if you had an idea of what you wanted...?"
"Nope. Let's go to your place."
"Time?"
"Maybe around 8. I can get Alice to go shopping with me."
"She'll enjoy that." He smiled
"I bet. Edwards been weird? Alice told me earlier."
"About Bella's incident, he's worried."
"Just tell him that everything will be just fine." She grinned brightly.
"I'll be sure to pass along the message."
"You better." She teased kissing him.

Adding to Basil’s frustrations is the lack of accomplishment he feels for his work, with the dungeon keeper often taking on handicaps just to give his enemies a fighting chance. With all the power and wealth one could ever dream of already within his grasp, Basil now finds that the achievements of others kindle more joy in his heart than his own crushing victories. Thus Basil has taken up mentoring the next generation of dungeon keepers to try and diagnose the cause for his own lack of passion. With his apprentice, Elnora, managing most of the daily work around the dungeon, Basil can finally turn his attention towards his personal concerns, such as tackling the shadow of his legendary father that still looms large over him.

The Complete Alchemyst book 2
Continuation of the Alchemyst book 1 Sometimes to be the good guy, you gotta be the bad guy. This is a story about Louis, a guy that was just trying to get along before he got kidnapped and forced to play cook by a Cartel. He's no Heisenberg, however. Now that he's out of Prison and put a beat down on some of the folks that put him away, he's facing the real pressures of Life as a single-person superpower: Everyone wants to use him for their own purposes. Along the way he's met a few girls, some good, some bad. He's looking to save the world, establish an evil empire, secure a future for the people he considers his, and maybe finally kill that damned superhero that started it all. This is not 'the boys'. Not all superheroes or supervillains are evil, The 'super' world is expanding to include aliens, magic, and the children of ancient deities and legends. This is NOT a superhero genre deconstruction. Many heroes truly are heroes, and they don't all need to be destroyed to make a good story, but it does look into the dark side of superpowers and the unreasonable and often contradictory demands placed on exceptional people. Please note that this book has extremely graphic and sometimes gross fight scenes, heroes as villains, villains as heroes, opinionated and often politically incorrect characters, some graphic sex scenes, dad jokes, dirty jokes, realistic depictions of romance and flirting, bondage and dominance themes, and more than a few cuss words when they are really appropriate.
