"What do you mean Odin is Loki?" Hugo blurted out. I kicked his leg as hard as I possibly could.

"Shut the fuck up. This is supposed to be on the down low, you idiot."

"Sorry I just — I'm confused is all."

"Loki and I are in love. We are together. But we are cursed to be apart. So Loki is covering as Odin so we can be together in private."

"But... now you have a baby with him?"

"Yes. Babies." I let out a sigh. The children, although a blessing, have made things complicated.

"Where is real Odin then?" Hugo asked.

"He's safe. He left Loki in charge." I lied right through my teeth but I know Hugo was sworn in to protect the Allfather so if he really knew where Loki had sent him, he'd blow the lid.

"Strange of him to do." He stated with a skeptical tone.

"Hugo, I really need to be able to trust you. No one can know about this."

"I promise, sis. I promise no one will know." He took my hand and squeezed it tightly. I let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank you. Now I need to tell Loki."

I sat on the edge of the bed nervously. The Asgardian sun was beginning to set, lighting the golden room up a beautiful orange and pink hue. I exhaled deeply, feeling my hands instinctively lift to my belly, desperate to feel the two growing children. The door opened which made me jump and put my hands back down.

"Why so on edge this evening my sweet love?" Loki smiled as a green shimmer covered him, revealing his true self. He seemed to breathe a sigh of relief as he stepped into his own body once again.

"Long day?" I laughed.

"It's always a long day when you're stuck inside an old mans body." He sighed and flopped onto the bed next to me.

"Loki... I need to tell you something." I said nervously. He looks up with a scrunched brow, squinting his eyes at me and sitting up so he was eye level. He lifted his hand and placed it on my cheek, his thumb tenderly stroking down. I could see worry swimming through his eyes.

"Why did you talk to Hugo today? I thought you were never to speak to him again? According to your words, anyway."

"About that."

"What is it? You're scaring me."

"Loki, I'm pregnant."

Silence. I started viciously at my hands fumbling with the silk sheets. I was too scared to look at his reaction. Eventually, the silence was broken by Loki.

"Pregnant."

"I spoke to Eir today. Two boys. I'm not that far alo-" I was interrupted by feeling his arms wrap around me and pull me in tight.

"Pregnant." He whispered again into my hair. "You're pregnant."

"Yes Loki, I-" Once again Loki refused to let me get a word in as he kissed me passionately.

"I love you. We will raise young princes both fit to be king."

"I love you too." I smiled, feeling relief wash over me for the second time today as he began to tear up. He sat back and placed his hands on my stomach.

"How far along?"

"4 weeks. They are too small to feel right now. But they will grow."

He leaned down so he was level with my stomach.

"I will love you and cherish you forever. Both of you. I promise I will be a man that my father would not be. I promise I will not let you down." He looked up at me and smiled. "All of you."
