《clueless | goodguyfitz |》chapter 1

entering the gloomy manor, my hands gripped the metal railing, my mind circling with gratitude. the back of heads fogging my vision as i attempt to make my way across the granite flooring. "ahh, welcome to misfits manor, your invitation?" gripping to white envelope, i lay it into the man's gloved hand. "my name is ryan, i will go prepare your drink for this evenings dinner." bobbing my head, i dismiss him and allow my eyes to wonder over the authentic art that painted across the walls. this was no place of elegance, but yet it almost had that type of vibe.
"matt?" my voice carried across the room as the music seemed to stop. my head spun as our eyes met. "god.."
he walked forward, a red solo cup placed in his hand.
whilst he walked, his brown hair flopped with each step, his smile becoming more mesmerizing as he got closer.
i haven't seen him in years, and man has he had a glow up since then.
"hey, audrey." my heart stopped as his voice reached my ears, and i knew he took notice in it. he affected me in so many ways, but he let that go to waste years ago. in slow motion, his arm, which has become more muscular, reached over his head and fluffed his hair. his aura emitting a tough guy kind of feeling.
"were you the one who sent me the invite?" i query, resting my right hand on my hip that stuck out slightly. his head shook, showing it was not him who sent the invite. "then who?"
"all of us." his arms spread out, his liquor pouring out of his cup. "damn." he cursed, stopping his drink from spilling out. his head picked up, honey eyes gazing into mine with some type of emotion swirling in them. "damn.." he sighed again, this time it barely came out as a whisper. "i missed you, audrey." are we playing battleships? because he just sank my heart.

"i-i-"
"aye, matt come join our game of beer pong!" mason called out, his hands cupping over his mouth as he tried to stretch his voice. matt shook his head with a smirk that called mason an idiot. even though he barely talked, i knew something was blocking his thoughts, most likely being the liquor.
"it's fine, matt. enjoy yourself. i'm sure i can find some friends. after all, i'm sure i remember some of your buds from the internet." his hand stretched outward, pulling me into a side hug. i fell into it, but not without feeling awkward from our reconnection. "find me later, ya?" nodding, we retract from each other and he jogs over to the white table that was decorated with other red solo cups.
wondering around the room, i could not bring my memory back. mostly because last time i saw these guys was back in 2016 and they've grown a lot since then. "well." i sat, boredom sinking over me.
the smell of sex and booze filled the large room full of strangers that i'm sure invited themselves and somehow shoved past ryan. getting drunk around people i'm sure don't recognize me, or don't know me period didn't sound like the best idea, so i decided i would keep to myself and wait for matt to come and find me again. "audrey? mate it's been a couple minutes." his australian accent found my ears as my eyes found his.
"zuckles!" i sang, standing to my feet and taking him in a hug. he's seemingly become more skinny, yet more muscular at the same time. "thought you and matt were playing beer pong?"
"we was, but we won. come meet the other guys!" he gripped my bare arm and pulled me along to a secluded room where matt and some others i don't recognize sat in beanbags. smoke filled the room, either from vapes or bongs. "aye, fags!" everyone turned toward mason, their heads full of air. "y'all remember audrey?" everyone but matt shook their head, inspecting me. i stood stark, embarrassment washing over me as the others stared.

"audrey?" a deeper voice filled my ears from behind me. knowing that voice, i turned, yet i couldn't match it with a name. "oh damn.." he whispered just like matt did earlier.
from what i could see, he had dirty blond hair that covered his head, it was a beautiful color and seemed to have a wonderful texture and layer of volume, only he wore a black hat to cover it.
"sorry i don't-"
"it's cam? or fitz." my eyes widen as i realize who he is. his deep blue eyes bore into mine, if the smoke didn't blur our vision, i would almost be able to tell each and every feature and detail on his face.
the lights switched off, and the last thing i remember was the screeching of men and women, and finally a gun shot that rang louder than any scream. "shit! someone shot toby!" everyone gathered around as the lights switched back on and the smoke finally fled through the open doors and windows. "it was supposed to be his congratulation party!"
"oh.." my hands gripped my silk dress in a sign of anxiety. "no.." everyone turned toward everyone else. nobody was looking at the same person and it reminded me of a scene out of a movie. gripping the doors handle, i attempted to pull it open but failed miserably. "it's locked." they all gathered around the door and rammed into it, desperately trying to bust it down. it was almost like it was made out of obsidian. where is a diamond pickaxe when you need one. i apologize, this isn't the place for jokes.
"dammit mason! i told you we shouldn't have invited strangers!" swagger shouted through his metal helmet. "what the hell were we thinking?" nobody could sit still, meaning the room was filled of constant movement, which was spiking my anxiety. peering over the counter that sat in front of me, i saw matt and fitz speaking all secretly.
"we need to break that door!" mason shouts again, his whole ADHD thing overtaking any other emotion. "fuck!" he cursed, grabbing the handle and practically yanking it off of the door.
"mason, calm down! we will get out of here, just stay fucking calm!" swagger points his finger at the bald man who was having a panic attack.
"i am fucking calm!"
