《My Punk Lover (Yamaguchi x reader)》Chapter 16: starlight

After that whole ordeal, there never was a day that went past without Tadashi asking about how Y/n was feeling. After all, she was a very precious person to him. He had sent her memes, wholesome videos, cat videos and everything he could think of that would make her happy.
He wanted her to be happy.
As usual, Tadashi and y/n met at school and hung out at the cafe. They were almost done with their project. They might be full time in love but they were still part-time nerds.
"Hey y/n so, you know um .." Tadashi mentally cursing at himself for still being so nervous around y/n. He had asked countless girls out on dates before but why just why was it nerve-wracking when he had to ask y/n out. Gosh pull yourself together Tadashi he told himself.
He cleared his throat and said apathetically " The last part of the project, I think we still aren't done with it. We should meet up at 7 to complete it" He wanted to ask her on a date but he thought he would combust spontaneously on the spot if he did and even more if he saw one of y/n's smiles. So an excuse sounded better for now.
It was like she reserved that smile especially for him and it made his heart beat a tad bit faster, although he was adamant about not admitting that. Especially since he wanted to look cool in front of her.
Y/n looked at him confused, was the conclusion not to his liking? she thought to herself.
But if God gave her a chance to meet up with Yamaguchi another time, who was she to say no?
"Sure", y/n said with a smile again. It was like she couldn't help it, the corners of her mouth lifted up every time she was with Yamaguchi.

...
Yamaguchi was freaking out internally as he stood outside y/n's door.
Am I really doing this? is she gonna like it? omg, what if she thought this was too cheesy?
He wanted today to be as perfect as possible for her. After he had realized his feelings for her, he was getting nervous about y/n but he knew that y/n was the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his time with. He dismissed all his thoughts and walked up to the door.
He took a deep breath and told himself 'Fake it till you make it, Tadashi.'
Knock knock
...
Tadashi drove them to Mayonaka hill, known for the flowers that grew on the hill as well as the amazing night sky.
"Tadashi, arent we doing the project?" y/n asked with confusion.
"Yeah yeah dummy we are doing the project," Tadashi said as he looked at her with a smirk and took the picnic basket out of his bike. He was amused at how dense she is. You would think someone as smart as her would get it now but he guessed she hadn't realized that he liked her.
He stood in front of y/n and held his hand out.
Y/n looked at his hand then at him, wondering what he could want. She thought maybe he wanted the project report so he handed him the papers in his hand.
And Tadashi looked at the papers on his hand then looked at y/n. It was then he had realized he fell in love with a dumbass.
He laughed out loud, he was so amused by her. Y/n was even more confused than before.
"Y/n give me your hand, not the papers woman," He said as he was laughing.
Y/n gave her hand shyly and looked embarrassed. How was she supposed to know she was supposed to give her hand.

Tadashi held her hands strongly and guided her up the trail to the flower beds. As they reached that magnificent scenery, y/n looked dumbfounded at how beautiful the entire place was.
Flowers of all sorts of colors were blooming as the night sky turned to a shy color of pink. It was beautiful she stared at it for a whole minute, capturing the entire scene in her head.
But she wasn't the only one capturing a beautiful scene. Tadashi stared at her with awe.
From her peripheral vision, she saw him looking at her. She turned to face him and blushed profusely when he was still staring at her with a tender smile. Why is he doing this? she thought to herself.
Did he fall in love with me? Does he like me?
It can't be right. I mean I did go after him for the entire year, but-
Before she could continue her chain of thoughts, Tadashi held her hand and guided her to the picnic mat.
They sat together and ate some delicious chocolate cake.
"Um, Tadashi what is all this about?" Y/n saying with her dense self being at an all-time high. She just couldn't believe that he would like her.
"Hmmm" Tadashi stared at her with a smile.
"You'll figure out sooner later," He said with a smirk.
Then, they had spent the evening talking about everything they could. They were talking so much that it could fill the lost time they had spent apart.
The pink evening dissolved into a midnight black. Fireflies sparkled up. Y/n was yet again mesmerized by everything. The stars and the fireflies lit the entire place up.
But as cheesy as it was, she thought Tadashi shone the brightest.
"You know y/n when I first met you at a school I thought you were the strongest person I knew. You were really cool. And then I met you again, at college. You became even cooler and stronger" Tadashi said as he was looking up the stars.
"And even though I agreed to your bet, about making me fall in love. Was it not skewed from the start? It wasn't a fair game." He said and looked at y/n. His smile had never disappeared. He thought screw it, I cant be apathetic to the one person that makes me feel so much.
Y/n could hear her heart beating faster.
Is he-
" Since,
From the start, at school and even now.
So how is that fair little I-will-make-you-love-me miss? He said as his hand reached out to touch y/n's face. He moved the fringe of hair hiding her left eye.
Y/n didn't notice but he was already sitting inches from her. She looked so dumbfounded at the moment.
They stared at each other.
"May I kiss you?" He asked as his ears turned red.
Y/n wanted to scream, she was beyond happy.
"YES!" she said a tad bit excited.
Tadashi chuckled at her. Now there wasn't but two one blushing mess.
With that Tadashi crushed his lips on to y/n and pulled her neck closer to him.

She will have to struggle through her disability, religion, family, abuse, trauma and politics. The world will not be kind to her, but she will find her place. The tone is a bit darker at times in this story, but not in 'edgy' or 'grimdark' way. They reflect the main character's struggles. Berodyl stood ready to aid the gods in their strife, but when the time came, the armies of this world never heard the call. They never even saw the battlefield. No. Instead, they found that, once the war had begun, the hierophants no longer heard the whispers of their sacred deities whom they had served so faithfully; only silence now filled the halls of their temples. Some even came from beyond Berodyl’s firmament to take to the sides of those who would fight for the gods. Alas, they soon found themselves stranded in a land abandoned— now, too, abandoned themselves.
