《Together we howl》Part 21

Sam's POV
Since I found out that Hermione is part vampire, many thoughts were swarming in my mind. Since I transformed, I was taught to hate vampires and yet, my imprint was not only a shapeshifter but a witch and vampire. I couldn't find it in myself to hate the fact. yes, she may be a vampire but somehow, it made me love her even more. When the Quileute tribe elders had explained everything, they mentioned imprinting and at first, I hated the thought of having to limit yourself to one woman. Truth be told, I don't even think that was the issue, but when I had finally admitted to myself what was truly wrong, I realised that I was afraid. I was afraid to have a human imprint, the elders had explained the intense rage that could come along when transforming and the last thing I wanted was to hurt the woman I loved.
Then I found Hermione, the sassy, smart, beautiful and brave woman who was far from human as I had expected. When I first laid eyes on her, I didn't care whether she was human or not, all I wanted was to see her happy and healthy. Then I started noticing little things, things that I had found odd but I never concluded that she may be magical, or at least like me in a way. When I saw her transform into a wolf, I was in awe. She had a gorgeous white coat with large amber eyes, I was even more in awe when I realised that her eyes could glow when in human form too. Of course, when I found out she was a witch, I was in shock but more curious than anything. And finally, when I found out she's also part vampire... I had expected to feel some sort of negative emotion but that's far from it. She is mine, my imprint, my soul mate, my other half and the woman I am willing to spend eternity with.

I spent the morning with Jared, Paul and Jacob, putting together the final product. Thankfully, it didn't take too long to complete our task but we are extremely happy with the result.
The firepit area is cosy and hopefully, large enough to fit those they invite.
"Do you think they'll like it?" Jacob questioned nervously as he glances at the firepit. I found that Jacob relied on Hermione a lot more than everyone else, and in my opinion, it wasn't that too surprising. Jacob's mother had died when he was a little boy, and spending his childhood without a mother figure would cause a certain hole in your heart that's hard to fill. However, It seems that Hermione was beginning to fill that role as pack mother, confidant and friend. Ginny had become the feisty older sister, they had spent a lot of time bonding over pranks and comparing the magical world with ours. Luna's the carefree and loving aunt that was always there to give advice, though a lot of the time, we aren't sure what she's talking about. Then, we have Pansy, who's the blunter and 'don't give a fuck' type sibling. She's usually either putting a stop to all arguments that may occur or encouraging them. We found out rather quickly that she loves to gossip and enjoys some good old fighting entertainment.

"I know they will" I reassured as I patted his shoulder, making him nod his head slightly as he bit his lower lip. As we were talking, we heard laughter, singing and music coming from the house. We glanced at one another and walked into the kitchen, seeing Hermione standing by the stove as she swayed her hips side to side to the rhythm. Pansy, Ginny, Luna and Harry were all singing and laughing with one another. The song was unfamiliar to me, but it seemed like a hit to the magical group.
"Is this a magical song?" Jared asked as he strolled further into the kitchen, taking a seat by Harry who summoned a cup of tea from the kitchen side.
"Yeah, one of the most popular" Ginny laughed as she swayed side to side. Paul watched his imprint with an affectionate smile, leaning back against the counter as she sang. I walked towards Hermione and wrapped my arms around her waist, making her jump slightly before melting into my embrace. Her head lay against my shoulder as her back snuggled against my chest.
"Good morning beautiful" I whispered and placed a kiss on her temple.
"Good morning, breakfast will be ready in a moment" I couldn't help but smile as I watched her cook. She was such a loving woman, always feeding everyone and making sure those around her were happy and cared for.
"Thank you" I responded before taking a seat. It wasn't long until the kitchen island was full of breakfast dishes, coffee, tea and pumpkin juice, which was a drink that a lot of young witches and wizards drank. I wasn't a big fan, so I stuck to my usual morning coffee.
"Good morning" a voice behind us caught our attention. Sirius strolled into the room, followed by Remus who was holding his son, Teddy. We were surprised to find that the baby had a head full of tortoise hair, and his eyes were bright blue. Remus must have noticed our shock because he chuckled.
"He's a metamorphosis. He's able to change his hair and eye colour, usually when he's feeling an intense emotion but tends to do it randomly too" He explained as he sat beside me with Teddy on his lap. The child's attention was on me, his eyes filled with curiosity.
"He seems to like you," Sirius said, snapping me out of my awed daze. I chuckled nervously and turned back to Teddy. My eyes widened as his tortoise hair was now midnight black and his eyes were brown. The group laughed, leaving the pack and me in confusion.
"He most definitely likes you. He doesn't usually mimic other people's appearances this quickly" Harry announced with a wide smile. I was left speechless with a feeling of pride in my chest. He's Hermione's God son and a very important member of her family, to know that the child has taken a liking to me warmed my heart beyond belief. A smile formed on my face and I gave the small child a wave, making him giggle and wave back.

We spent the next half an hour finishing off our meals, Ginny and Paul helped with the dishes whilst everyone else remained seated, chatting about any topic that came to mind. As the couple finished cleaning, Paul sent me a nod that confirmed that they were ready for the surprise.
"We'd like everyone to follow us into the backyard. We have something to show you" I announced with a proud smile. They all stood up, curiosity apparent on their faces before we guided them whilst they were blindfolded.
"Stand right there. That's it, perfect" I said as I stood beside the pack in front of them.
"You can open your eyes now" Paul sang in excitement. My chest swelled In pride as I watched my imprint and her family, gasp in awe with their eyes widening at the sight.
"You even added a swing" Luna squealed as she ran towards the swing that was attached to, two trees. She jumped onto it and began swinging back and forward, an excited smile on her face. I let out a chuckle and turned back to Hermione, who kept glancing between me and the firepit. I began to feel nervous, she was yet to speak and though I pride myself in being able to read people quite easily, she was one of the only people who I struggled to get a read on.
"Hermione," I said hesitantly as I approached her, gaining her attention.
"It's beautiful Sammy" She sighed in amazement, her eyes bright and her smile wide. My heart fluttered and I could feel my cheeks heat up, though my pride increased tenfold.
"I'm glad you like it-"
"I love it" She interrupted and wrapped her arms around my torso, burying her face into my chest. I let out a soft chuckle and laid my head on top of hers, pulling her tighter against me.
"You know..." She raised her head, looking up at me with her big doe eyes. I hummed as I placed a strand of her hair behind her ear, showing me more of her beautiful face.
"I was thinking, maybe we should have that date tonight" I raised an eyebrow as my lips twitched into a smile.
"Is that right?" I ran my finger against her cheek, her soft freckled skin feeling amazing under my fingertips. My smile widened as she shivered, her face turning pink as she nodded, somewhat nervously.
"I think that could be arranged" my voice deeper than normal as I gaze down at her. Our eyes remained locked, the air became tense around us and my heart pounded rapidly in my chest. Our heads slowly inched forward as I looked between her eyes and her pouty lips. She wrapped her arms around my neck and grazed her lips against mine.
"Get a room" Pansy shouted, making Hermione jump with a scowl on her face. I let out a frustrated sigh and nuzzled my face into the crook of her neck, inhaling her scent to control the wolf within.
"Piss off" She snapped half-heartedly before burying her face into my chest once again. I let out a chuckle and guided her towards the others, who were all seated around the firepit.
"I was thinking, we should all go visit Diagon Alley today" Ginny announced as she got comfortable on Paul's lap. I couldn't help but feel excited to explore where Hermione and her family had grown up.
"Uh, Sam and I have a date planned" Hermione responded sheepishly, her face instantly flushing. I shuffled on my seat nervously as I felt the heated glares burning into me. I jumped slightly as a low growl was heard from Hermione, who was sitting comfortably on my lap. Her amber eyes narrowed in her uncle's and brother's direction, their glares disappeared instantly and they smile nervously.
"You can go on your date afterwards. Please Hermione" Ginny begged as she pouted. Hermione turned her attention to her sister and groaned before nodding, making everyone cheer. I chuckled and placed a kiss on the back of her head when she sighed as she yielded.
"Everyone, get ready!"
