《Outlawry》Chapter 16 - Ava//He Come's A-Runnin'

The fear washed over me all over again like cold, icy glacier water. Shivers ran down my spine and I began to shake uncontrollably.
Not here... I thought. Not where my friends could see...
"Get up," he spat. He let go of my hair. I wiggled to my feet. "Where are your keys?" he asked.
I patted my coat pocket. "In here," I replied in a shaky whisper. He smiled.
"Good." He lowered his head. "We're going to my place for the rest of the day."
My breath quickened. Fight or flight. Fight or flight. Fight or flight.
Those words kept going through my head. Suddenly I acted. Flight.
I took off in the opposite direction from him and hopefully to my friends. I turned the corner, but was too late. I saw them turn into the building as the bell that indicated that lunch time was over rung through the school.
Frantically, I looked around for a close way back into the building. Suddenly, one of my teachers emerged from around a different corner.
"Oh, hello, Ava," he greeted cheerily. "You'd better get to class."
"I know," I replied. I began walking with him. I looked behind me to see Luther running into the open, only to stop and observe.
I turned my head back. "Um, do you mind if I walk with you to class?"
He sniffled. "Sorry, I'm not going to class. I have a nasty head cold, so I'm heading home early."
My heart sunk. "Oh okay."
"Have a good day!" He waved at me as he took off towards the parking lot. I just sort of stood there for a second.
Luther came up behind me and wrapped his arm around my neck, pulling me backwards. He brought his mouth to my cheek.
"It would be wise of you not to run next time."
He dragged me along out to the parking lot, took my keys out of my pocket and unlocked my car.
"Get in," he ordered. I did as he asked. He got in on the drivers side and sped out of the parking lot and down the street like a mad man. Well, he was a mad man. And in more ways than one.

Luther's eyes narrowed as he focused on the road. I turned away from him. My phone vibrated softly in my pocket. I silently pulled it out. It was my friend Samantha.
"Where are you?!" the text read.
Biting my lip and taking another glance at Luther to make sure he wasn't watching me, I texted her back.
"Luther's kidnapping me call for help! I'm being 100 percent serious! Call the police!"
I turned my phone completely off and shoved it back into my pocket. Within a matter of minutes, we were at Luther's.
He stopped the car in front of his house. He quickly pulled the keys out of ignition and threw them back to me. If I hadn't had quick reflexes, the keys would've stabbed me in the eye.
"Is your mother home?" he asked me.
"What?" I asked.
He rolled his eyes. "Is your mother home?" he repeated, more aggressively this time.
I slowly shook my head. "She's at work until five..."
He unbuckled his seatbelt. "Good."
He opened his door and walked out and around the front of the car over to my door. He flung it open and unbuckled me. He yanked me out of the car and closed the door.
"Change of plan," he said as he forced me across the street. "We're going to your house."
His grip around my forearm tightened. I could feel the bruise already forming.
"My house?" I inquired. "Why?"
"Don't question me!" he ordered. I looked down and nodded quickly.
Once we reached my porch, he released the grip on my arm. I took out my keys and unlocked it, stepping inside. When he walked in, he closed and locked the door behind him. He walked across the living room and closed all of the curtains on the bottom floor.
"What are we going to do now...?" he asked himself, scanning the room. He put a hand underneath his chin pensively. I stood there awkwardly, gripping the spot on my arm where he had grabbed it. His gaze landed on me. A wicked grin found it's way to his mouth as he brought his finger down and motioned for me to come over to him. My eyes darted between him and the stairs. I chose the stairs and sprinted up them.

He chuckled. "I like this."
I ran into my room, Luther close on my heels, and I slammed the door. I pressed the button on the handle that locked it and stood there for a moment.
I heard a "click" and so I suddenly looked down to see the door knob slowly turning. I backed away from the door as Luther entered my room.
He looked around before his eyes landed on me.
"How did you-"
He held up his relatively long fingernails. "I'm an expert at picking locks."
He closed in on me and forced me onto my bed. The heat left my body as a I breathed heavily. He examined me, but got up and closed the curtains before he did anything else. The room was almost completely dark.
He climbed on top of me, forcing me to lie down on my bed. He put his arms next to either side of me and positioned his legs in between mine.
"Ava..." he whispered onto my face. "Ava Lane..."
He brought his face down to mine and began to place sloppy kisses on my neck. I squeezed my eyes shut and pursed my lips together.
"Please don't," I pleaded softly. He pulled away and let out a long sadistic laugh.
"Oh, I like this very much." I raised my eyebrows.
He slowly put a hand around my neck and gripped it tightly. I could barely breath. He reached for my pants and unbuttoned them. I batted his hands away, but he flashed me his green eyes, full of fury, causing me to cease any movement. He looked back down and slid my jeans all the way to my ankles.
I lifted my knees, trying to prevent him from doing anything further, but he easily slid them apart again. At some point, his own pants had been pulled down, revealing a pair of black boxers. He lifted his turtle neck over his head, messing up his greasy, black hair and revealing his flat, unhealthy looking stomach. One could practically see his ribs.
He looked back down at me quivering in the bed. Where were the police?!
"Open your mouth," he ordered, sliding back down on top of me. "I'm craving the taste of strawberries."
Tears brimming my eyes, I did as he asked, slowly opening my mouth. He smirked at my obedience as he leaned his face near mine and slid his cold tongue into my mouth without even connecting his lips to mine. I cringed as he swirled his tongue around mine, which was unresponsive, and the inside of my cheeks and teeth. I felt like I was at the grossest dentist appointment of my life. He breathed heavily, humming and moaning as he did.
He pulled away from my mouth and licked his lips. He pulled me up by the back of my head and my back.
"Ava..." he whispered again. He started sucking on my neck. I gripped the sheets of my bed. "Why do you taste so good?" he asked between sucks and kisses.
"I...I don't know," I whispered.
His hand slid down my chest and down to my panties. I put a hand on his to stop him. He growled and tried to proceed anyway.
"No, Luther!" I cried. "Don't!"
Suddenly, I heard the sound of sirens. A wave of relief washed over me. Luther's head shot up and looked to my window. He let me down and peeked through the curtains.
"Damn..." he muttered. He glared at me. "What did you do?" he asked.
"N-nothing."
"What did you do?!" he repeated, more aggressively this time.
He started towards me, but suddenly, a phone rang. I didn't recognize the ringtone.
Luther walked over to his slacks and retrieved a small, black flip phone. He angrily flipped it open.
"What?" he answered.
I stared at him.
"No, I didn't...I'm not lying. Yes, the cops are here. I'm telling you-"
He stood there and slowly turned to look at me. I froze.
"Oh really?" He lifted a brow, never taking his eyes off of me. "We'll be right there."
He slowly closed the flip phone and threw my jeans back at me.
"Put your clothes on," he ordered.
"Where are we going?" I asked while I slipped my pants onto my legs. He began putting his own clothes back on.
"We're going to kill Gomez."
