《Mondays (Jensoo Convert)》"You made me believe... You made me believe we had a chance."

Finals were over. Two more weeks of classes while the underclassmen were still doing their exams; the seniors just cruised through the halls with no care. Yearbooks were getting passed down. Pictures were being taken with favorite teachers. Everyone tried to cherish and make the most of the last few days had in high school as they waited for the end. Time was ticking down to the day of graduation.
Jennie sat in the back of her Biology classroom with Lisa as they flipped through the yearbook. It was filled with so many memories of the year. However, it did not encompass the rest she had made the last three months. She frowned when they stumbled upon the Senior Superlatives page.
The first thing she saw was the face of her ex-girlfriend.
"Biggest Flirt: Irene." Lisa snorted. "How fucking ironic."
The brunette let out a disheartening sigh. She shifted in her seat uncomfortably and brushed through her luscious locks. It made her feel even more stupid for staying with the girl for so long. They were in good terms now but it sucked to have your heart broken. Lisa side-eyed her best friend and nudged her softly.
"You okay?" The taller girl asked.
"Yeah..." Jennie replied weakly. She raised her gaze and shot Lisa a small smile. "Can we, um, just flip the page?"
Lisa nodded and turned to the next page. A grin etched itself on her lips when she caught a glimpse of a familiar girl. It was a certain brown-eyed girl with dark brown hair and freckles on her pale face, gleaming. Next to it was a much older version of that same girl but with flawless skin, raven haired with the same piercing brown eyes.
"Most Changed: Kim Jisoo." The Thai read with pride.
"Here she is again. Most Likely To Be Successful." Jennie pointed eagerly at the bottom of the page.
"They should have titled it, Biggest Nerd." Lisa joked earning a playful slap from Jennie.
"Hey, that's my girlfriend you're talking about."
"Yeah, so? Are you disagreeing with me?"
The setter paused for a second before giggling. "No. She is a nerd... BUT! She's going to be a successful nerd, so I'm not complaining."
"There's Rosie."
"Sweetest Smile... that's cute."
"You're lucky. Jisoo's going to be a CEO or something and all I got was the girl with the Sweetest Smile." Lisa shook her head. "How she going to pay the bills with that?"
Jennie shrugged. "Maybe modeling? Rosie does have a sick body."
"Have you been checking out my woman?!"
The smaller girl just ignored her best friend and rolled her eyes as she flipped onto the next page. The page instantly became her favorite one. By popular vote, Jennie's promposal was the best one compared to the rest and just as promised, they were given a whole page in the yearbook.
"Wow. Cutest Couple slash Best Promposal: Jennie Kim and Kim Jisoo. Adorable." Lisa said her voice laced with sarcasm. She then faced Jennie and flashed a sly smile. "So these are the bitches that robbed me off my title."
"Lisa!" Jennie chuckled softly.
"I'm just saying. It should have been me and Rosie." Lisa smacked her lips together and bobbed her head.
"Rosie and I." The brunette corrected.
"Whatever." Lisa retorted.
Jennie's brown orbs stayed on the page as it analyzed every single picture plastered on the page. Most of them taken from the night of the big game but there were some random ones that she didn't even know about. It was from years ago, mostly Jisoo smiling widely next to her while she had a frown on her face or a disgusted look. Though at that time she hid her feelings for her teammate, it still made her heart drop looking back at it now.

Why was she so hard on Jisoo? Couldn't she at least put on a fake smile? Jennie gulped down a hunk of air.
"Nini, I was kidding. I totally voted for you and Jisoo." Lisa noticed the other girl's change in demeanor.
"It's not that." Jennie husked.
"Then what is it?"
The smaller girl lifted her head up and her eyes flickering up to connect with Lisa's. "Tell me I'm being stupid."
"What?" Lisa furrowed her eyebrows together and stared at her best friend quizzically.
"Why did Jisoo ever fall in love with me?" Jennie questioned, completely taking the taller girl off guard. Lisa had to lean closer to make sure she heard that right.
"Say again." The Thai requested.
Jennie huffed and pointed back at the pictures on the page. "Look at these. It looks like I want to murder her. I'm not even smiling and there she is always shining her perfect white teeth. Who pick these pictures out anyway?"
"Yeri did! She's part of the yearbook committee. And don't blame her for it. You're the one that didn't smile and besides, that was when you did want to murder her. Remember you hated her?" Lisa responded knowingly.
"I never hated her..." Jennie mumbled and bowed her head. "I just, you know, wasn't a fan of her."
"Well now you are. So ya da ya da ya da." Lisa answered before she placed her finger on the picture and turned to Jennie. "This was the past. And now is the present, so forget about it!"
"I can't. I was so horrible to her before. I think I led her on and would shut her down. I'm a bitch."
"No, you were dating a bitch."
"Irene..."
"Yup, never liked her nor did Yeri... now that I think about it not even Sunshine Rosé liked her."
Jennie's jaw dropped. "Are you serious?"
"Rosé always said Irene had this weird vibe."
"Why didn't you tell me? I would have broken up with her earlier!"
"Because of Jisoo." Lisa said simply.
"What about Jisoo?" Jennie tilted her head.
"When one of us were about to say something to you, she would always give us this long sermon about how Irene made you happy and shit. It was annoying but she really did care about you."
Jennie groaned and threw her head back. "I need to be a better girlfriend. Lots of making up to do."
"Don't sweat it, Nini. You wanna know why she fell in love with you?" Lisa raised an eyebrow at the brunette, who nodded with earnest. "It's cus you were such a tease!"
Not a second later, Lisa busted out laughing. Jennie scoffed and punched the girl in the arm. "Really, Lisa?"
"Obviously, I'm joking but I have no idea why she had a crush on you. Why don't you ask her, stupid."
"I don't know. I don't want to bring up the past, I guess." Jennie whispered.
"Do you regret it?"
"Regret what?"
"Not breaking up with Irene when you had the chance."
"No." Lisa arched an eyebrow at the smaller girl. "Because with Irene came Jisoo. I wasn't ready for that idiot." Jennie chuckled lightly. "It was like a balance. There can't be good if there's no bad. There can't be day if there's no night..."
"There can't be Jisoo if there's no Irene?"
"I would have never knew Jisoo was for me if I ended things with Irene too quickly."

Jisoo had a big smile on her face as she held her finished speech in her hands. With all the finals out of the way she finally had time to write. She had worked all Sunday night and used up her study hall to finalize everything. She walked briskly through the halls excited to show her girlfriend. It was lunchtime and Jennie always waited for her at her locker.
She wrote the speech with all her heart. It had everything she wanted to share with her whole class. Something very special. Once she reached her locker her smile faltered and abruptly stopped her tracks. Her eyes set dead on her girlfriend against the lockers with her lips locked on Irene's. She gaped at the scene. This can't be real. She thought. It felt like hours when she saw Jennie eventually pushing the cheerleader off her.
Jennie used the back of her hand to wipe her lips off. She then pushed Irene back more aggressively before turning her head to check if anyone had seen. She had to do a double take to realize that Jisoo had witnessed the kiss. Brown orbs widened but she remained frozen.
Irene looked at what Jennie was staring at and went pale when she saw Jisoo. It was dead silent between the three of them. So quiet that you could hear Jisoo's heart breaking into pieces.
The pale girl crumpled the paper she held in her hands and stormed off as she felt hot tears streaming out of her eyes. She didn't know where she was going but she had to get away from the two girls.
"Jisoo!" Jennie called over. She was ready to chase after Jisoo but Irene grabbed on her wrist causing her to whip her head at the girl's direction. "Let go." She gritted through her teeth.
"Can we talk about this?" Irene begged.
"Are fucking kidding me?" Jennie spat. "My girlfriend just saw you kiss me. You literally fucked up my relationship. Fucking let go, Irene."
"Nini, I know you still love me. Please, lets talk."
Jennie clenched her jaw and ripped her hand off Irene's grasp. She looked straight into the girl's pleading orbs and growled, "Whatever respect I had for you when we broke up is gone now. Leave me the fuck alone. My friends were right, you are a bitch."
She then turned her heels and sprinted after Jisoo.
-
The setter ran as fast as she could to catch up to her girlfriend. Luckily, Jisoo didn't get very far so she was able to get behind her.
"Chu, stop. Irene kissed me. I didn't kiss her back. I promise." Jennie breathed out. The pale girl stood in place with her back turned away from Jennie. She reached out for Jisoo's arm but the other girl took a step forward refusing to be touched by her. "Chu..." She croaked.
Jisoo sniffed. Her tears dripping down her chin as her chest rose in an irregular pattern.
"Believe me, Jisoo. I pushed her away the second she kissed me." Jennie explained.
Jisoo shut her eyes and clenched her hands into fists. The piece of paper still jammed in her hand.
"Say something." Jennie implored.
Jisoo spoke softly.
"Jisoo, we do have a chance. Remember we have college and the rest of our life." By now Jennie's eyes were filling up with tears. "We were doing so well, Chu. Don't let Irene's stupid stunt ruin what we have. Ruin us."
She made another attempt to get closer to Jisoo but with every step Jennie took, Jisoo took one too.
"I can't lose you, Chu." The brown-eyed girl said quietly. "I love you."
And there it was, that thing that kept Jisoo from pulling away. But this time it was different. This time instead of butterflies it made her heartache. Jisoo took a sharp inhale.
"I-I..." She let out a shaky breath. "I can't do this right now." She then proceeded to get away from Jennie. Her mind was clouded and the heartbreak was so new to her that it was all hitting her at once.

Monday: Sent me flowers
Jendeukie (7:35pm): Hey I stopped by your house... Your mom told me you weren't home. I hope you're okay. I dropped some of your favorite flowers.
Jendeukie (7:40pm): I love you.
Jisoo laid on top of her car, which was parked in one of the town's outlook points. She went there whenever she felt like she couldn't talk to anyone. It was her place that no one knew of, not even Jennie. She read Jennie's message and wiped the tear that had escaped her eye. She wanted to believe her, she really did. She stared at her phone before typing out a reply. Even though they were on bad terms, she didn't want Jennie to worry.
Chu (7:50pm): I'm okay. Thank you for the flowers.
There was an immediate reply.
Jendeukie (7:51pm): Can we please talk?
Jendeukie (7:51pm): I can't stand this.
Jendeukie (7:51pm): I'm sorry I hurt you, Chu.
Jisoo read the message but didn't reply. She shut her phone and looked up at the night sky.
"Am I crazy?" She muttered to the sky.

Tuesday: Made me feel stupid
Jennie waited by Jisoo's locker like she did every morning but Jisoo never came. She stood there until the late bell rang. She glanced down the hallway to see if the girl would show up late yet no one walked in. Giving up she dropped her head and pulled up the hood of her jacket over it as she dragged her feet to her homeroom.
-
Wednesday: World was ours
Jisoo walked up to Jennie and hugged her. The brunette was surprised. After not hearing anything from her girlfriend she had thought Jisoo would want nothing to do with her.
"Thank you for being patient with me." The pale girl whispered in Jennie's ear. "But I need more time and space."
Jennie wrapped her arms around Jisoo's waist and pulled her closer. She clamped her eyes shut and treasured the warmth the other girl was giving her. Not body warmth, no something even more. That warm feeling of home. "Take all the time you need. I'll wait." She mumbled back as she held the girl tighter.
-
Thursday: Didn't prove it
As the day went by, Jisoo and Jennie would share looks but stayed away from each other. Some students even noticed the couple's part, however, they kept it to themselves.
During lunch, Rosé would sit with Jisoo and Lisa would seat with Jennie leaving Yeri to alternate.
"Chu, you need to talk to Jennie about this." Yeri counseled.
"I know but I'm not ready yet..." Jisoo replied despondently.
"She loves you."
"She kissed Irene." The dark haired girl retorted.
"Irene kissed her." Rosé corrected. "Nini pushed her away. You saw, didn't you?"
"It doesn't make it hurt less."

Friday: Fell back in love
Before going to class, Jisoo slipped a folded piece of paper she held from when she was hospitalized. It was a note that Ella wanted her to give to Jennie but never really had the chance to. She had forgotten about the piece of paper until she stumbled upon it last night when she looked through the box of mementos she kept of hers and Jennie's moments.
As she walked to her class she crossed paths with Irene. The cheerleader was strutting down the halls beside her troop, giggling away. The fact that the girl had no care she had ruined a relationship made Jisoo's blood boil. Her hands formed fists and before she knew what she was doing she marched towards her and punched her right in the face. Irene went straight down.
Jisoo gave a menacing look then turned around to head down to the principal's office. She knew what she did was wrong. Here she was again, it was the second time being in principal's office and this time it wasn't for an award. She sat down the bench and waited for the principal to give her some kind of punishment.
Meanwhile, there was a crowd forming around the injured girl. Jennie, however, was too occupied with everything else going on to notice and went straight to her locker. She wasn't really interested in break out fights unless it involved any of her friends. The folded piece of paper fell out once the brunette opened the metal door. She picked it up and unfolded it. There was a drawing of here and beneath it was her girlfriend's neat handwriting.
"When I first saw you I fell in love and I like to think that you smiled because you knew. I still love you.
–Jisoo. "
Jennie's lips curled up. She brought the note to close to her heart and quietly said, "I still love you too."
-
Saturday: We didn't talk
Jisoo was given Saturday morning detention because of her clean record. The principal was generous enough not to suspend the girl nor take the title of valedictorian away from her. She was grateful but also bored out of her mind. She watched the clock tick as she sat on the steel chair. Her parents took away her phone so she had no way of communicating with Jennie.
-
Jennie walked to Jisoo's house hoping that they could talk. The note neatly tuck behind her jean pocket. She had texted Jisoo last night but received no response.
She fidgeted nervously and waited until the door opened. Jisoo's mom was the one to greet her.
"Hi Dara, is Jisoo here?" She asked timidly.
"I'm sorry, Jennie but she's at detention." Dara replied with a sad smile.
"Detention?" The younger asked in confusion. "Why is she in detention?"
"You don't know?"
Jennie shook her head.
"She punched Irene yesterday..."
"What?!"
"We were surprise too but she knew what she was wrong and is paying for it now. She's lucky the principal gave her a break with graduation so close." Dara muttered.
"Is she okay?" Jennie queried worriedly.
"Yes, Nini. There was no fight. She just punched her. I don't know what had gotten in that girl."
The brown-eyed girl closed her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose. She took a deep breath in. "Oh Jisoo." She raised her head and fixed her eyes with the adult. "Can I wait for her?"
"Nini, you know we love you and if it was any other day I would say yes but she's grounded for today." Dara said solemnly. "Sorry, kiddo."
"It's okay." Jennie sighed. "I'll you later, Dara. Please tell Jisoo I stopped by."
"Alright."
Jennie grabbed her phone from her pocket and texted away as she made her way back home.
-
Jisoo tapped her fingers rhythmically on the table, her brown orbs solely focused on the ticking clock. A small knock on the door caught her attention. She craned her head and saw Lisa and Rosé's head by the slim glass opening on the door. The two girls had smug smiles plastered on their faces.
Rosé opened the door and peaked in to check if there were anyone regulating the detention, to her surprise Jisoo was alone. She pulled the door wider and sauntered in the empty classroom.
"Look at what we have here. Ms. Kim... serving Saturday morning detention. How uncanny." Rosé mocked. She hopped on the teacher's desk and gave Jisoo a devilish smile.
"What are you guys doing here?" Jisoo chuckled lightly.
"Nini came by your house and your mom answered the door." Lisa responded taking a seat next to Jisoo.
The raven-haired girl's face dropped knowing that her mom probably informed Jennie about her situation. "Oh."
"Turns out Yeri's not the only one that has blood for Irene." Lisa taunted with a satisfied grin. She crossed her arms in front of her chest and shook her head. "Tsk, tsk, Chu. Looks like you finally blew up. You want your lecture now or later?"
Jisoo glared at the girl and slumped down on her seat. "She deserved it." She grumbled.
"Huh, what was that?" Lisa teased. "Did you say I was right all along?"
"Don't. Push. It." Jisoo growled.
Lisa snickered lowly before reaching for Jisoo's face and forcing the girl to look at her. "Don't mind that idiot. Nini told us to check on you that's all. She's worried."
Jisoo cringed internally.
"Have you guys talked yet?" The Thai wrinkled her eyebrows together. "It wasn't her fault, you know."
"I know..." Jisoo retorted in a small voice. "I don't know. I'm being an idiot... It's just that when I saw them kiss it reminded me of everything from the past. Like de ja vu. Like I was back to square one when she wasn't mine to have."
She laughed bitterly.
"I swear my heart broke in a million pieces right then. I know Jennie is with me now but Irene has this hold against me, you know. She was Jennie's first and I will never be able to live up to that because I'm her second. It's like I'm not good enough..."

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.

No Strings Attached [Rewritten]
Warning Just so you know, you better be paying attention to the chapter title or else it's going to be like travelling across multiverses. Explanation Due to a single comment made by a wonderful person, or some douchebag in real life, I have decided to create two seperate stories. A rewritten version, and the original version. The rewritten version will somewhat follow the original storyline of the original version, but will have extra content, extra side stories of course rewritten personalities. The original one will be like a rough draft of where I want the story to go. Like for instance, the original story is like the first Link from 'Legend of Zelda', choppy but fun to read. The rewritten story is the Link from any game during and after Windwaker, smooth and somewhat follows the main premise. Overall both are going to be probably terribly done but hey, I'm creating a furture and past story so what should you expect. - Styx Whatever just put up the revised description. - Ariel Edited Summary Jay W. Blu, a dashing and charming rich boy who's been spoiled his whole life. He is very cocky, has a case of egomania and isn't exactly what you call a 'Relatable Main character', unless you somehow fit one of these descriptions and then relate all you want. He had everything you would probably want if you weren't pessimistic, realistic, or chronically depressed. But as most reincarnation/summoning stories go, he get's himself killed at whatever age he was and is sent to another world. Normally, he would be summoned as something you would call a hero, but since that's to cliche by my standards he is something else. Instead of being the hero of the people that he was told about by a friend, he instead summoned as the anti-hero aka, 'The Hero of Demons'. Now he must traverse the lands slaying opposing heroes as he tries to keep his mind straight, although it's to late. There will be weird people along the journey like a fangirling war general, a hive mind and a manly magical girl? Oh well, Jay is too pure to see love anyways.
