《Bench ☼ LisKook》5 | Friends

The Next Day ;
It was already 6:30 in the morning and Jungkook was hiding behind a tree at the park while sneaking looks at his bench - and also her.
He literally looks like a creepy stalker but he didn't care at all.
"Should I go or not, should I go or not." Jungkook kept chanting in his mind.
A part of him wanted to just go and talk to the girl again but the other part of him was still embarrassed about what happened.
"Oh?" Jungkook's eye suddenly caught something and crouched down to pick it up.
A flower.
"Maybe I should try what Ariel did..?" Jungkook thought to himself and shrugged.
Jungkook started to pluck the petals one by one.
Jungkook muttered as he plucked the last petal.
I will go.
"Well." Jungkook shrugged and threw the remaining stem.
"Thanks for your help, Mr. Flower, but you won't make me go. Ha!" Jungkook said to no one in particular that he looked so childish.
Just as he was about to go, a voice startled him.
"Oh, young man!" It was the street sweeper.
"Ah, good morning, ahjussi.." Jungkook greeted awkwardly.
"I made sure to clean the area of the bench you always go to first. You can go there now." The street sweeper said with a toothy smile.
"Ah.. Thank you, ahjussi." Jungkook bowed.
"But someone is already sitting there though. She's pretty, too. Go get 'em, boi!" The ahjussi said with a wink and proceeded to sweep the dirty streets.
"Heh.." Jungkook bowed at him awkwardly and scratched his nape.
Jungkook looked back at the bench again and the girl was still there.
Jungkook sighed, "Here goes nothing."
He made his was towards the bench while pretending to look at his surroundings.

When he was already at the bench, Jungkook cleared his throat.
Because of that, the girl looked up from her book and stared at Jungkook.
Jungkook smiled awkwardly, "Hi..again."
The girl just rose one of her brows and continued to stare at him.
"Um. Can I sit here..?" Jungkook asked carefully.
"Whatever." The girl shrugged and continued reading her book.
Jungkook sat down and the awkward atmosphere continued.
Jungkook cleared his throat again, "So um.. Lisa, right?" Jungkook tried to start a conversation.
Lisa looked up, "Yeah. And you must be Mr-book-destroyer."
Jungkook's eyes widened, "I said I was sorry!"
"Yeah. But did you buy me a new book? No." Lisa said and crossed her arms.
"I was planning on buying you one, but... you didn't tell me the name of the book I damaged." Jungkook defended.
"Because you said you 'just wanted to know', that's why I didn't tell you." Lisa countered back.
"Oh," Was all Jungkook could say.
"...So can I know what it's called now?"
Lisa glared at him.
"Ugh. Fine. It's called Dance With Me by the author bwichim."
Jungkook nodded, "So what's it about?"
Lisa shook her head, "I won't spoil."
"K." Jungkook said, remembering how Lisa said that to him.
Lisa, who also recalled her words, bit her lower lip awkwardly.
"So um, friends..?" Jungkook said and extended his hand.
Lisa looked at him with an amused expression.
'Well this boy is something.' Lisa thought to herself.
She looked at Jungkook's awkwardly extended hand and thought about it for a moment.
Lisa sighed. 'Whatever. Just go with the flow.'
"Fine." She looked at Jungkook who was staring at her, anticipating.
"Friends."

2113, the Earth has finally solved the climate change issue caused by the loss of forests and technology entering a new era. A world of virtual reality is created by a genius scientist in a VRMMORPG game called "BORNEO", taken from the 3rd biggest island in the world famous for it's forest and wildlife. An orphan stumble across the game during military service, not forgetting his roots and experience in the world he starts to create his own legend in the game. He is not alone though, billions of other people are also trying to do the same. This is my first ever novel after so many years as a reader. I hope it would bring the same feeling like the other novels bring to me in this site, I also take inspiration from various novels so you might notice some similarities. Please bear with me during my new journey as an author here. I won't set a schedule for releasing the new chapter yet, I might try to do so after a few chapters in and I started to get the feeling of how things work.
