My worst dreams had finally come true. Ace found her.

He found out about my sweet Maybelle. I felt absolutely sick to my stomach as I pulled to he side of the road for a moment to control my breathing.

"Mommy are you ok?"

Mays voice snapped me out of my panic.

"Oh, yes honey let's.... let's go home."

I said as I sped back onto the road.

My mind was shooting a million different ways at this point. He found May. Why did he find May? How does he know where she goes to school? Does he follow me? Is he following me now?

I looked in the rearview mirror for a moment at the road behind us almost half expecting Ace to be standing there. But The street was completely empty.

I continued driving toward home peeking into the mirrors continually watching. I couldn't help but feel so paranoid now. I thought maybe after a few days that he had forgot about me move on to some other girl to be his 'mate'.

Does he still want me? Is he going to try to take me again or worse try to take May to get to me?

What should I do ? I mean what can I even do. Tell the police hey remember that story I told you. Well I'm a liar - oh and by the way werewolves exist and that is who took me.

Yeah that will work.

Maybe I could just find Ace and talk to him. Find my way back to his house through the woods some-how and just talk it out with him. Explain to him that I have May and I just can't break my family apart right now.

Maybe he'll understand. I mean there was a point where I saw this sweet, caring side of him. And I was just about to explain everything.

I can picture it. I'll just tell him that it'd be best if he moves on. That there's plenty of beautiful non- married, women that don't have any kids that are just waiting for someone like him.

I'm sure he'll think about it. His bright green eyes will stare off and he'll ponder the idea while he runs his fingers along his perfect jawline. The he'll reach up and run his hand over his face, as each one of the muscles in his arm flexes.

And then he'll walk towards me slowly, never once taking his eyes off of mine. He'll lightly push me against the wall as he runs his hand through my soft brown hair. Then his grip will tighten just enough and he'll pull my head back tilting my lips to his.

His lips will linger just in front of mine as he whispers 'you are mine forever.' And right now - we'll I'm going to show you that every inch of that body belongs to me, my sweet Seneca ....

Seneca........ Seneca........ Seneca!

A pounding on the car window, startled me out of my thoughts. Miles was standing right next to the window shouting my name.

Somehow I had made it to the driveway of our home all while day dreaming away. What was that anyway?

That is definitely not how I wanted that conversation to go. Right? Ugh

What's going on with me. I reached and unlocked the car as Miles reached in the back seat to help May out.

"You okay up there Sen?"

"What ? Uh yeah, yeah I'm good. Just staring off. I'm still not feeling good from earlier."

"Well hurry up and come inside I have something that will make you feel better."

That's odd. Miles literally never gets me anything when I'm sick anymore. Not even cough medicine. I wonder what it is.

Miles and May had already made it into the house by the time I made it to the door. As I walked in May ran up to me with a bouquet of red roses and handed them to me.

"Mommy look what daddy got for you !"

I rolled my eyes internally, if he thinks roses is going to make up for what he did.

I looked over to Miles who was now blushing and looking at the floor. Ok- since when does he get embarrassed.

He stared up at me the blush still showing on his cheeks. "Seneca, I'm not asking you to forgive and I'm not asking you to forget. I'm nearly asking if we can try to start fresh. I want to try for you. Let me try to win you back. Please?"

I wasn't sure what to say at that point. I've been wanting to lay into him about everything. The fact that he cheated on me, that he could stoop so low and betray me like that. That he's an asshole and a monster for ever disrespecting me in that way.

But I looked over towards May who had a gleam in her eye. She always loved the sappy princess movies and she was finally seeing something that looked like the real thing.

I looked back at Miles. "I can't stop you from trying to win me over. It doesn't mean you will, But we need to talk more about everything later ok?"

"Of course, as long as you're willing to let me try. So let me start off by giving you this."

He reached his hand towards me and handed me the pink envelope he was holding.

I opened it gingerly taking out the piece of paper inside. Reading over it, I realized that it was a spa gift certificate for a place about half an hour away.

"I know that you haven't been feeling well and you know with everything that's happened. I thought maybe you needed some time to relax and unwind."

"In fact if you want, me and May could hangout and you can head there now if you'd like. I mean if you're feeling up to it- they said they take evening walk ins."

I thought about it. Did I really want to accept something like this from Miles. I don't want him thinking that this fixes us or that he can buy his way back in with me.

But I'm really worried about the whole Ace thing today and I was hoping to have a few minutes alone to call Isaac and ask him to keep an extra eye on my house and mention that some dog was running around wild near the preschool.

"You know what I think I will. Just keep May in the house, with everything that's gone on I don't want her out of your sight."

"Yes mam, this little girl and I are going to have a movie night!" He reached down and swooped May up into his arms and kissed the top of her head.

"Yay! I want to watch the Barbie princess one!"

She shouted as Miles set her down on the couch.

"Of course baby doll. Now sit here real quick and snuggle up. I'm going to walk your mama to the car."

He walked towards me and took my hand in his. We headed out the door together as I turned and told May I'd be back real quick.

As we walked along the porch and down the steps, Miles swing our hands back and forth. He used to always do that when we were dating. But those are memories now and I'm not sure if he's just using it as a way to tug at my heart strings.

Once we made it to the car miles opened the drivers door for me and spun me to face him.

"Seneca, I just want you to know that I really am doing this because I know that you need a break. Time to relax and think. You deserve it and It's not just because I want to fix us. It's because I still love you very much and I know that you need this."

He leaned forward like he was planning to kiss me on the lips but stopped himself and planted one softly to my forehead.

"Drive safe and don't worry me and may have everything under control."

I climbed into the drivers seat and took off toward the spa. After I reached he main road I pulled out my phone and started to call Isaacs number.

I felt slightly guilty knowing that Miles didn't care for him, but I quickly shook her from my mind.

After two rings the phone picked up.

"Hey Seneca, hows everything over your way?"

"Well, actually I have some concerns. First could you have an extra guy patrol by my house a few times. I'm just starting to get paranoid about the whole thing again."

"That's completely understandable, I can definitely have that done tonight."

"Okay perfect, thank you Isaac."

"Youre very welcome Luna."

"Uh whose Luna? I chucked "I think you've tried to call me that more than once now"

"Oh, uh sorry about that. She's my uh, my girlfriend and we'll you two just are so similar."

"Wow, Luna that's an interesting name."

For some reason I felt a little pang Of jealousy that he had a girlfriend.

"Yes, uh I think so too, so was there anything else you needed?"

"Actually, yes, my daughter Maybelle said that when she was at recess today a strange black dog came up to her and well I just wanted to see if you could check up on it. I just don't want a strange dog around the school."

"Of course ms. Seneca I can get right on that tomorrow morning. I'll keep a look out. You know, I feel like I know the dog that you're talking about and I've already warned the, uh, owner about it not going close to the school."

I chuckled to myself, he must be thinking about another dog - if only he knew.

"That would be great, thank you so much."

"Before you go, if you don't mind me asking where are you headed."

"Oh, well actually I got a spa gift certificate and am headed over there now to get a massage."

For a moment I could have sworn that I heard a loud growl in the background of the phone. But it was muted out when Isaac started coughing.

"Sorry about that Seneca just dealing with a wild animal that someone called in about earlier. I'll give you a call later. Have fun !"

And with that he hung up.

I stared at the gps on the dash board. Okay only ten minutes until this massage.

Hopefully, there's some sexy male masseuse working tonight, because I need ..... ugh not again.
