"Y/n you fucking psycho," Vanessa said laughing. "Who puts jelly on both sides of their toast."
I laughed and pushed Vanessa. "I do and it's absolutely amazing." I said taking a bite.
"Aw you two are so cute," Quincy said walking down the stairs. "Hey, Vanessa did you know that Y/n is a virgin?"
I facepalmed and shook my head. Vanessa looked at me smirking. "Oh really," she bit her lip trying not to laugh. "How cute."
"What was the point of bringing that up?" I glared at Quincy then looked at Vanessa. "I'm not a virgin by the way."
"Oh right, they did call you quick bust in high school." He snapped his fingers causing my eyes to widen.
Vanessa laughed and I looked at her. "Ohh you think it's funny."
She nodded. "Just a tiny bit." She gestured with her fingers.
I stood. "Fight me right now."
She stood and walked towards me. "What's up Y/n." She looked me up and down.
"What's up Nessa." I put my fist up.
"Kiss already." Quincy whispered.
I turned and looked at him. "Go take a nap."
His eyes widened. "Vanessa I distracted her GO!" He yelled.
Before I could react I felt a weight on my back. "Ahhh." Vanessa yelled as I lost my balance and fell to the ground.
Quincy busted out laughing. "Oh my gosh, you both looked terrified." He bent over grabbing his stomach.
Vanessa laughed and sat up on my back. "Your reflexes suck."
"Shut up." I pushed myself up making her fall on her back.
"Ah idiots," he walked over and helped Vanessa up as I held my hand out waiting for him to help me. "Anyway, I have to go."
I frowned lowering my hand and standing up myself.
I don't need no man to help me.
"Where you going?"
"To see a man about a dog."
Vanessa frowned her brows. "Oh is that a new movie?"
I chuckled and rubbed her head. "Awww."
Quincy laughed and walked towards the door grabbing his keys off the hook. "I'll be back later on today," he paused and looked at us. "Use protection kids." He laughed and walked out the door.

My eyes widened. She didn't know about my little...big friend yet. I cleared my throat and looked at Vanessa. "Netflix?"
She nodded. "Definitely."
"Cool, I'll grab some snacks and meet you up there."
She nodded and walked up the stairs. "Throw that toast away." She yelled.
I chuckled and walked over to the pantry. I grabbed some Doritos, cookies, and Capri suns before frowning.
How do you tell a girl your interested in that you were born with a dick? I sighed and closed the pantry door. I guess I'll let her know when the times right.
Well, if she doesn't find out on her own because I sometimes think this thing has a mind of its own.
I shook my head and walked up the stairs towards my room.
"...don't forget you're the one who dumped me." I paused as I heard Vanessa talking.
Don't be nosey Y/n.
"Listen I'm hanging out with," she paused. "With a friend right now but, tomorrow we can meet up and talk." She sighed. "No, I don't have feelings for anyone else and I honestly don't think I ever will thanks to you."
Ouch, see that's what my dumbass gets for being nosey.
She laughed."Yeah okay, bye."
I waited a few seconds then walked in. "So I have Doritos, cookies, and Capri suns," I threw everything on the bed and flopped down next to her. "But sorry to break it to you, the cookies are mine." I whispered.
She cleared her throat and...forced a smile onto her face? "So why even tease me with them."
I shrugged. "What are we watching?"
She was obviously talking to her ex but damn, she'll never have feelings for anyone else? I swear I'll be pissed if I fall in love just to get friend-zoned.
"So," she started opening the Doritos. "I see you and Stevie have been hanging out a lot, you moving up huh?"
I chuckled. "Yeah I guess so," I grabbed some chips. "Don't get flustered if I have to take some," I looked at her raising an eyebrow. "Revealing pictures of you."

I grimaced. "Ew sorry, I sounded like a fuckboy."
She laughed and pushed me. "Right plus, I should be saying that to you," she tilted her head. "My revealing photos might be a little bit too much for a virgin to handle." She smirked.
"Damn Nessa." I laughed.
She laughed and wrapped her arms around my neck. "Awww it's okay to be a virgin."
"But I'm not." I whined.
"Ohhh right," she tilted her head back. "Quick bust, I almost forgot."
"Ugh, it was sophomore year it doesn't count anymore." I shook my head.
Her eyes widened. "He was being serious," she backed away. "Who the hell was making fun of my baby."
"Oh, your baby?" I smirked.
"Hush." She blushed.
"Someone's blushing." I pinched her cheek.
She pushed my hand away smiling. "Watch tv Y/n." She crossed her arms.
I smiled and looked at the tv. "Yes ma'am."
-
"Alright Y/n I want you working for me." Stevie said.
"Seriously?" I asked.
He nodded. "But..."
I sighed. "There's always a but."
He smiled. "Next Friday there's going to be this up and coming photographer event for you new photographers," he said. "My boss will be there and it's his decision on who joins our team."
I nodded. "So I have to compete with other photographers?"
He nodded. "Yes but I'm telling you now Y/n, you are the best photographer in this so-called competition," he leaned forward. "You already won."
I'll be so shitty if he just got my hopes up for nothing.
"Since my boss, Mr.Reeves, is going to be the most successful person there he gets first picks and I just know he'll pick you."
I sighed. "In your eyes I'm great but, Mr.Reeves might hate my work."
"He won't trust me," he said. "All you need to do is take some more pictures of a model, show them at the event, and you got the job."
I perked up at that. "Oh, am I taking more pictures of Vanessa?"
He shook his head. "As much as I love the chemistry between you two," he sighed. "She has other projects to do so I'm going to arrange another model who should be here soon."
Aww.
"Alright cool, so I have a week to get how many pictures?"
"Ten at minimum, but like I said last time it would be in your best interest to get as many as possible." He said.
I nodded as there was a knock at the door.
"Come in." He said.
In walked the girl from the party, Summer, and man oh man did she look good.
She smiled and walked farther into the room. "Hey, sorry I'm late Stevie," she said as she took a seat next to me. "Hey Y/n."
I smiled over at her. "Hi," I squinted my eyes. "You following me?"
She laughed. "Maybe."
"Well it's good to see the two of you are already acquainted," Stevie said smiling. "Summer, as I said before, you will be working with Y/n for a week so she can get some pictures to present at the up and coming photographer event."
Summer nodded and looked at me. "I can't wait to start working with you."
"Same here." I smiled back.
"Great, since its Monday and you have until next Friday to get your pictures together," he hummed. "I want you both in the studio at least every other day from 12 to 4 starting tomorrow." He said.
I nodded. "I can definitely do that."
"Same here." Summer said.
"Good," Stevie clapped. "Now get out of my office," he laughed. "And have a good day."
Summer and I smiled as we walked towards the door and I held the door open. "Summer." I gestured out the door.
"Why thank you." She walked out and I followed behind her. She turned towards me. "I think we should get to know each other better Y/n."
I nodded. "I agree, lunch?" I raised an eyebrow.
She nodded."Lunch sounds amazing."
"Cool let's go."
Hm, I'm kind of a lunch whore.

The Foretold: Sun Child (Complete)
As a sixteen year old commoner, your future is bleak. Worse, your appearance sets you apart from others. Your only achievement so far, is befriending the second son of the Lord of the Keep. He has been your only friend for eleven years, initially partner in mischief and later your hunting companion and confidant. Now your friendship is being torn asunder, he has turned eighteen and is being sent away to become a Judge Knight Aspirant. What is to become of you? Before your friend leaves, there is murder and conspiracy! Magic left the land hundreds of years ago, all you have is your bow and hunting skills, nevertheless you must fight to survive and save another to have any hope of a future! Note: The graphic isn't mine; it is a re-imagining of a few separate images, any objections by original artists let me know. N.B. If you are looking for Sexual Content every chapter, or every second, third or fourth chapter this isn't the story for you - the Sexual Content is required for a plot device, not a way of life and the later chapters reflect that - please stop dropping Low Ratings when you feel I haven't met your idea of "fan service". This is finished as much as a multi book vision can be finished. At 750,000 words give or take and very little readership I can only blame myself. I have learnt a lot, possibly forgotten a lot as well! I will probably return to the Chapters at some point - a touch up here and a touch up there. The second book though will probably remain in my head for a very long time, so yes "cliffs" although I hope the characters and their motivations are developed enough that you can have a good guess at the content of Book Two and tell me so I can confirm or deny! This isn't a LITRPG where classes are developed, great foes are defeated by a hero of immense power. This is a story based within (I hope) a very real and consistent culture, that leaves breadcrumbs for the reader to work out what the heck is happening and why. This is a slow burn story as the MC is stumbling around discovering her new place and role. Author's Note (Apr 2021): I dropped the Fantasy Genre for the Mystery Genre, because while the setting mentions magic, is it about past glories and trying to return to them. Whereas the MC from Chapter One doesn't understand her predicament and the range of mysteries she must solve to survive. If I have this wrong PM me and I will change this back.
