"Y/n eat the fucking soup." Vanessa hissed.
"Noo." I whined pulling the covers over my head.
It's been about a week since the big event and honestly, life's been pretty chill. My "dad" is out of town on "business" so my mom and brother can finally relax and I have a meeting with a record label in a week thanks to Zayn.
"Y/n you won't feel better if you don't eat the soup." Quincy said from behind the closed door since he's scared to come in.
Or should I say come out?
"Say it to my face!" I yelled from under the cover.
"Nah I don't need to get sick." He said.
"I'm not even sick it's just my throat." I groaned out.
Vanessa snatched the cover off of my face and straddled my stomach. "Y/n that sore throat could be the beginning of a cold." She said in a warning tone.
"Vanessa," I smirked holding her waist, "I'm fine."
She rolled her eyes. "Eat."
I ran my eyes down her body and raised an eyebrow. "Eat?" I said in a teasing tone.
"Oop and I'm gone." I heard Quincy say.
She smacked my forehead with a small smile on her lips. "Eat the soup Y/n, please."
I nodded. "Fine," I opened my mouth, "feed your baby."
She shook her head and put a spoon full in my mouth.
I grimaced and swallowed the soup. "Ew." I said.
"Shut up its not that bad," she got another spoonful, "open." I did as she said. "Here comes the airplane." She said and made a whoosh sound with her mouth.
I smiled after I swallowed the soup. "Headass."
She giggled and continued to feed me the soup. "So, you come here often?" I asked after a while.
"Nah, just visiting a friend." She said and gave me the last spoonful of soup.
"Mmm, just a friend?" I asked.
"Mhm, just a friend." She said sitting the bowl on a dresser next to my bed.
I wrapped my arms around her waist. "So what your saying is that your single." I smirked.

Vanessa leaned down. "Very," she smirked, "too bad your not my type."
My eyes widened. "Wooow." I said.
She giggled and leaned back grabbing necklace. "Okay, so you want to be a singer yet, I've never heard you sing."
"That's your way of asking me to sing for you?" I asked smiling.
"Yes, you have a guitar over there," she pointed, "sing me something."
I shook my head. "Sorry I can't," I fake coughed, "I'm sick."
"You-," Vanessa cut herself off by sneezing, "shit."
"Ew," I pushed her off of me, "your gonna get me sick."
"Shut up," she rolled her eyes, "my nose was just itchy."
"Sure," I turned on my tv, "come here." I said lifting up my cover.
She shook her head. "Nope, not until you sing for me."
"Really?" I asked and she nodded.
"Fine, no cuddles for you." I sat up.
"Fine." She smirked looking at me.
I looked back at her smirking.
She leaned forward biting her lip.
"Fine, I'll do it." I said and stood up.
Her eyes widened. "Really? It was that easy?" She asked.
"I was going to do it anyway I just wanted to see how far you'd go." I shrugged.
She frowned. "But you stopped before I could do anything."
I nodded picking up my guitar. "I got nervous."
She giggled. "I don't want to pressure you into singing, I was joking." She sat in the center of the bed with her legs crossed.
"I'll sing for you anytime you want." I said sitting next to her with my legs hanging off the bed and my guitar in my hands.
She sighed smiling at me. "You're really fucking cute."
I blushed and cleared my throat. "What do you want me to sing?" I asked.
"One of your songs." She said.
I nodded. "Okay um, I'll sing this song called Honesty," I adjusted my guitar, "I wrote this a while ago so don't attack me."
She nodded and tilted her head. "Of course."

I cleared my throat and started to pluck the strings on my guitar. "She said, "Baby, I'm afraid to fall in love
Cause what if it's not reciprocated?"
I told her, "Don't rush girl, don't you rush
Guess it's all a game of patience."
I looked down at my guitar. "She said, "What if I dive deep? Will you come in after me? Would you share your flaws with me? Let me know."I told her, "Thinking is all wrong love will happen when it wants, I know it hurts sometimes, but don't let it go."
I closed my eyes and continued. "Cause I want you, I want you, I want- I want you
Cause I want you, I want you, I want- I want you,"
I looked up at Vanessa. "She said, "What if I tell you all the things I've done?
Would you run away from me?"
I told her, "Baby, we all got bags full of shit that we don't want, but I can't unpack it for you, baby."
Vanessa started to smile and I stopped. That damn smile gets me every time. She is literally perfect, and that sucks because, maybe she's too perfect for me.
"Why'd you stop?" She whispered.
"I'm sorry, you were just staring at me really intensely and I kind of forgot how to think." I chuckled nervously.
Her smile got bigger as she stared at me. I gulped and my eyes flickered down to her lips.
"You have an amazing voice baby." She said.
"Thank you." I whispered.
I looked up and saw her eyes on my lips. She shifted and leaned closer. Our noses brushed against each other's and I moved my hand up to her cheek. She closed her eyes and bit her lip.
My heart was pounding as I leaned forward and connected our lips. Vanessa held the back of my neck and kissed me slowly. As I kissed her back I swear I started to get light-headed.
Don't pass out, please don't pass out.
I pushed my guitar off my lap and wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her to straddle me.
She ran her hands up my neck and gripped my hair.
Not her type my ass.
"Hey Y/n-" I heard.
Vanessa jumped off me and stood next to my bed. "Summer hey," She said scratching the back of her neck, "when did you get here?" She asked.
"I guess you didn't hear the doorbell ring." She crossed her arms staring at Vanessa.
"Yeah, I was," Vanessa paused and looked at me then quickly looked away, "preoccupied."
"I bet." Summer clenched her jaw.
I stood. "Um, this is awkward." I let out a nervous chuckle as Summer continued to shoot daggers at a fidgeting Vanessa.
What's her problem?
"Vanessa I think you should leave." Summer said.
I frowned my eyebrows. "What? You can't just-"
"No, yeah I should go," Vanessa hurriedly grabbed her purse and shoes, "I'll see you at home Summer." Then she walked out the door.
I looked at Summer. "What the hell was that?" I asked angrily.
"Listen, Y/n," she walked towards me, "you can't be with Vanessa."
I scoffed. "Who are you to tell me who can and can't be with?"
"Y/n, I'm just trying to save you from heartbreak," she whispered, "I just want you to be happy and you won't be happy with her."
"Yeah?" I crossed my arms. "And why not?"
"It's not my place to say." She said.
"It's not your-," I chuckled, "it's not your place to tell me why I can't be with her, but it is your place to tell me not to be with her," I hummed, "yeah that makes sense."
"Bébé, I'm just-" I cut her off.
"No um, maybe you should go too." I nodded.
"Y/n-" she started again.
"Please." I whispered.
She nodded. "Okay, but I'll text you."
"That's okay you don't have too." I turned around and picked up my guitar.
I heard her sigh then walk out of the room.
I turned around and walked towards my door slamming it shut.
"What the fuck?" I whispered.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.

Life in the New World
On the Hiatus: I began writing this novel when I was, in all honesty, very bad at writing. I hope to revisit creative writing in the near future and I plan to, at some point in time, revisit this. I am flattered that many people have taken the time to read this story, but it is not what I intend to start with, as it will likely need a hard rewrite in order to correct many of the more glaring issues it has. Join our hero and follow his exciting adventure through a newly changed world! WARNING their will be violence, profanity,, and gore in this fiction. if any of these make you uncomfortable this is not a story for you turn around and walk away now!!!
