"So you want me to come too." Summer asked smiling.
"Duh, I maybe, sort of, a little bit, love you so I wouldn't have fun if you weren't there." I shrugged biting my lip.
"Man, and I thought you and Vanessa were cute," Quincy said smiling, "Summer you better watch her, she's kind of a womanizer."
Summer blushed. "She's just my friend, I don't have to worry about anything like that."
"Stop putting me in the friend zone Winter." I pouted.
She giggled. "It's more of a little sister zone."
"Oh, wow okay." I nodded and took a sip of my water.
"I mean, incest is a thing." Quincy shrugged.
I choked on my water as Summer reached over and hit him. "Ew, Quincy." Summer said laughing.
I shook my head. "Anyways, the trip is going to be from Friday to Thursday, since you have that interview next Saturday," Quincy said nodding at me, "and when we land in Hawaii it'll be a nice 4-hour drive to the beach house."
"4-hour drive?" I asked.
"Yes, but it'll be a nice bonding experience." He smiled.
I smiled shaking my head. "So, you in Winter?" I looked at her.
"Well, I would maybe, sort of, kind of miss you for a week so, yes I'll come, I'm free for the next two weeks," she held up a finger, "but only if Vanessa can too."
"Of course, I was gonna call her right after, she just can't bring Duke." I shrugged.
"Duke?" Quincy asked.
"That's Vanessa's boyfriend." Summer laughed.
"Duke is the whitest name I've ever heard." Quincy said.
"I know right, who names there son Duke." I shook my head.
"It's above me." Quincy shrugged.
Summer looked at me and whispered. "He's so gay," then she looked at Quincy, "his real name is David, Y/n just doesn't like him."

Quincy nodded. "Don't be jealous Y/nn."
"Of?" I asked.
"Your girlfriend's boyfriend." Quincy smirked.
I nodded. "Clever."
Summer laughed and walked towards the stairs as her phone rang. "Hello?" I heard her say before she reached the top.
"So, Vanessa's obviously with Dylan." Quincy said.
"Good one." I smiled.
He chuckled. "I think you should try and move on from her, I mean she basically said that kiss made her realize that she only sees you as a friend."
I looked down at the table nodding. "Yeah don't sugarcoat it or anything."
"Y/n, don't waste your time on her, and don't get me wrong I love Vanessa but, maybe you two wouldn't be good together." He said.
I nodded. "Yeah, I agree with you."
"Are you- are you being sarcastic?" He squinted his eyes.
I laughed. "No dumbass, I really agree."
He nodded. "Good, so let's get your mind off of her," he smirked, "it's Wednesday which means..." he trailed off.
"Ladies night!!" I yelled and threw my hands in the air wiggling my fingers.
"Yes! Ladies get into free on Wednesday, which means you can find yourself a one night stand and take your mind off Vanessa." He shook my shoulders.
I heard Summer laugh from upstairs and I smiled. "Why find a one night stand when I can just stay up all night and watch TV with Summer."
Quincy shook his head. "No, do not fall in love with her as quick as you fell in love with Vanessa."
I laughed. "I wasn't and I'm not in love with Vanessa, I just have a big crush, plus it's way too soon to fall in love."
"You out of all people know how quickly someone can fall in love." He said.
"Ahhh, Gabrielle." I smiled.
"She was sooo hot." He groaned.

I laughed. "Shut up your gay."
"I'm not but, even if I was, I would know hot when I see it." He crossed his arms.
"Mhm," I stood, "I'm going upstairs with Summer feel free to, oh I don't know, leave?" I smiled walking up the stairs and towards my room.
"Fine, I'll leave so y'all can FUCK!" He yelled as I opened my bedroom door.
My eyes widened as Summer looked up at me and raised an eyebrow. I slowly closed my door and blushed.
"Who's about to fuck?" I heard from Summer's phone.
I flopped down on my bed next to Summer and looked at her phone to see a smirking Vanessa."Hm, that word, I'm not familiar with it.".
"Oh I bet." Vanessa said.
I took the phone from Summers's hand and flipped onto my back. "Was that shade?"
"It wasn't until you asked." She chuckled.
Summer laid on my chest and looked at the screen. "So um, Summer said you had something to tell me." Vanessa said.
"Jeez, you got a big mouth Winter." I said looking down at Summer.
She hit my stomach. "Shut up, I'm just excited."
I smiled running my fingers through her hair as I looked back at the screen. "Do you want to come with me, Quincy, my mom, brother, and friends to Honolulu?"
"Wow Honolulu," her eyes widened, "when, how, why?"
I chuckled. "When, this Friday to next Thursday, how, Quincy, why, because everybody needs a mental break sometimes."
"How much will it cost?" She asked.
"Well, Quincy is paying for the place we're staying and you just buy the ticket." I said.
"So, basically however much a ticket cost." She said.
"Basically." I nodded.
"I'd definitely be down I just-" I cut Vanessa off.
"You can't bring Dillard." I said.
She laughed. "Yeah I figured but, I was gonna say that I just need to talk to Stevie and I'm good to go."
"Awesome." I smiled.
"Great." She smiled back.
"It's gonna be super lit." I said.
"Whatever, you don't know how to party." She smirked.
"Who?" I asked.
"Who else?" She tilted her head.
"I'm the life of the party mama, don't try that." I said.
"We'll see." She nodded.
"Zzzz." I looked down at Summer who was fast asleep with her mouth slightly open.
"Awww." I whispered.
Vanessa chuckled. "Well looks like she'll be sleeping for a while so I'll talk to you two later."
I nodded. "Yeah definitely." I said still looking at Summer.
She cleared her throat."Okay then, bye."
I shook my head and looked at the screen. "Yeah um, have fun with David."
She smiled. "Huh, who's David?"
I chuckled softly. "Sorry I meant Damon."
She shook her head. "Bye idiot." Then she ended the call.
I smiled and slowly put Summers's phone on the charger then sat it on my bedside dresser.
I looked down at Summer and shifted to get into a better position.
"Ugh, stop moving Y/n." She groaned out.
"But, I'm uncomfortable." I whined.
She rolled off of me. "Go ahead." She gestured to me with her eyes still closed.
I slid lower down the bed and turned my body slightly towards her. "Okay, come here."
She rolled back laying her head on my chest and wrapping her leg around mine. "Mmm, better?" She asked.
"Much." I smiled.
"Please don't fall asleep and wake up with a boner." She said.
"No promises." I kissed her forehead and went back to running my fingers through her hair.
She sunk further into me and sighed.
Yeah, this is definitely better than a one night stand.

A King in the Clouds
Tanlar. A cruel, repulsive, and foul word. It meant untitled, officially, but it also meant ungifted, unable, unworthy, unnecessary, unhuman. It was more a curse than a term, a badge only the damned and condemned wore. To be a tanlar was to know your life, your entire being, was insignificant. Once Kaizer had resigned himself to such a fate, but those times had passed. He may have been untitled, but he was anything but untalented. He refused to scrape by at the bottom of society. Those who stood above him could sneer all they liked, but he wouldn’t suffer being stepped on for long. He’d be better, much better. But of course he would be. ‘Fate’ demanded it so. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] What To Expect: The story of a boy becoming a man becoming a king + everything that entails. The Pugilist
Vincent Roy Salazar has never been your common folk. He climbed any mountain he found in front of him. From a bright young student to an accomplished professor, his life can be described as a continuous race to the top of his chosen fields. Patriarch of a loving family, proud father of three already grown siblings, Roy realizes that his life is the perfect picture of what the average man strives for, and for that he is truly grateful. But happiness is a difficult-to-reach goal, and as he lies in a pool of his own blood, his fist cracked, a young lady crying while cradling his head, he remembers what really gave sense to his youth. Pure Unadulterated Violence The Pugilist wants to be a different take on isekai shenanigans. What would happen if instead of a moronic idiot, a depressed high schooler, or a wannabe hero the one to get his do-over is a fully grown man that has already seen what life has to offer in full? Someone who conformed himself to society, but has always craved something different? In a journey of self-discovery, academy building, god-slaying, and absolutely no harem we follow someone driven by logic, experience, and a smokey goal: to fuck shit up, have fun while doing so, and maybe resume his career as a professor for those strange, magic-wielding, unstable youths that seems to never get enough of his presence. Guys, a few notes, first of all, this is my first time writing long-form fiction. I have a background in psychology, and my main income comes from writing dreary financial articles on SEO blogs. But after a bad break-up, and finding myself falling asleep only while thinking of deus ex machina for stories on this site (and for APGTE) I decided to try my hand at this web series thingy. I'm confident in my grammar, but that's it. Everything else will be a first time, and as such any constructive criticism is encouraged and gratefully accepted. Now, on the story. Romance will be introduced once my little heart is mended, if you are scared of LGBT you may be turned off by the fact that I plan to have no taboo of any kind in my universe, but I won't ever write detailed sex scenes for any characters so don't worry too much. The litRPG part is very light and will take place later in the novel, but it's a key component nonetheless, for world-building and storyline reasons. I already have everything big planned out, so I won't drop it outta nowhere, and I hope you won't find too many flaws in how things pan out. I plan to make The Pugilist an interactive story, with secondary characters created by my audience and introduced after tweaks and careful planning. The main reason I'm writing this is that I want to build a community for myself in this time of isolation. I discovered that exercising, playing the piano or video games means jack-shit when you are utterly miserable, so I hope to give some value to my readers in exchange for praise, fame, money, and companionship. I give full props to anyone who has read this whole mess of a synopsis: I hope to not disappoint too much, now let's write some more steaming garbage that will be in dire need of editing later on.
