"Zanny boy." I smiled walking into the meeting room.
"Shame Y/n," he shook his head.
"What?" I asked sitting next to him.
"Oscar could've been in here, that would've been a bad first impression." He said.
"Get your knickers out of a twist." I mocked in a British accent.
He chuckled. "Well excuse me partner, I'm just looking out for ye."
I threw my head back laughing. "Oh my God, that was horrible."
"What?" He crossed his arms. "My American accent is amazing."
"Not all of us Americans sound like that." I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah right, I heard that accent try to slip in." He said.
"Shut up Zanny," I tapped on the table. "So how many men do I have to try and impress today?"
"Well, Oscar." Zayn said.
"That's it?" I asked.
He shrugged. "He may bring some other people."
I nodded. "Not to be rude or anything but, why are you here?"
He laughed. "That was pretty damn rude, I'm just here for emotional support."
"Yeah right." I said.
"Yeah I was lying, after your meeting I have one with Oscar." He said.
"Wow, and here I though you cared." I pouted.
"Oh shut up." He said just as the door opened up.
"Sorry I'm late." I looked up seeing Oscar walk in. "It's rush hour."
Zayn stood up laughing. "Trust me I understand."
Was it that funny?
I quickly stood and let out a fake laugh. "Yeah, traffics...crazy."
Oscar looked over at me and smiled. "You must be Y/n."
I nodded reaching out for his hand. "The one and only."
"It's great to meet you." He firmly gripped my hand.
Well damn daddy.
I pulled away and subtly shook my hand. "Great to meet you too."
"Well let's get down to business," he sat, Zayn and I followed. "Y/n, your voice is amazing and I really want to sign you."
I nodded smiling. "That's good to here."
"I brought a contract," he pulled a stack of papers out of thin air and placed them in front of me. "Read over it, there will be some other things to discuss but we'll only talk about them if you decide to join us."
I looked over at Zayn as he began to talk. "Read it carefully Y/n, a lot of people jump right into this contact and then later realize it's not for them."
I looked down at the first page and began to read.
Gasconading, perspicacious, unencumbered.
Maybe I should've brung a lawyer because what the hell do these words mean.
After a few minutes of pretending to read, I looked up and smiled nervously. "Where do I sign?"
-
"I'm fucking signed!" I yelled walking into the house with a huge smile on my face.

"Oh shit Y/nn." Quincy jumped up and down clapping his hands.
I copied his actions and squealed. "I'm gonna be rich."
He squealed. "Your gonna make me famous."
We both squealed at the same time and hugged each other.
"Okay, why are you two so weird?" Jasmine asked.
"We're just excited Jazzy," I walked towards her. "Aren't you proud of me?"
She looked up at me holding a small smile on her face. "Maybe."
I smiled and pulled her off the stool, wrapping my arms around her waist. "Your proud of me."
She chuckled and wrapped her arms around my neck. "Yeah, I'm proud of you Dino."
Letting go of her I turned to Quincy. "We're turning the fuck up tonight."
"Hell yeah." He said.
"Um, you two can turn up tomorrow." Jasmine interrupted.
"Who parties on a Sunday?" I asked.
"Yeah, the club can either go up on a Saturday or a Tuesday." Quincy said.
I frowned my eyebrows and then scoffed. "That song is so old."
He shrugged. "And?"
Jasmine shook her head and glared at Quincy. "Okay then, I wasn't looking forward to our date tonight anyway."
My eyes widened and so did Quincy's. "Oh no, baby I-"
He was cut off by Jasmine walking towards the door. "It's fine."
He sighed and looked at me. "The fuck are you looking at me for?" I asked. "She said she's fine which means she's either about to key your car or burn down the house if you don't go apologize."
He quickly nodded and ran after her. "Jasmine!"
"Dummy." I mumbled and pulled out my phone.
Okay, I already told my mom the news, Quincy and Jasmine knows, who's next?
Summer
Or Vanessa.
Biting my lip I opened FaceTime and clicked on Vanessa's contact.
Yeah, it makes sense to call her first knowing I'll be on the phone with Summer longer.
"Hey bab- Y/n, how was the meeting?." I heard Vanessa say.
"Amazing, your talking to the next Beyoncé." I walked upstairs and towards my room.
"Overrated." She coughed out.
I laid on my stomach and quickly looked down at the phone. "Don't make me cut you."
She laughed. "Try me bitch."
I chuckled shaking my head. "But, I'm happy for you," She said. "Before you know it you'll be a household name."
I sighed. "Hopefully."
"No not hopefully, you and I both know that it will happen." She said.
I nodded. "Yeah, your right."
"Have you told Summer yet?" She asked.
I shook my head. "I wanted to call you first."
She smiled softly. "Aw, am I that special?"
I laughed loudly. "Far from."
She glared at me. "I love you more."
I chuckled. "Did I-" I paused and brought the phone closer to my face. "What happened to your jaw Nessa?"

She visibly tensed and tried to cover it up with a smirk. "Let's just say I had a long and pleasurable night."
"Oh really?" I cocked a brow. "I thought you were gonna use the cliche of burning yourself with your flat iron or running into the door."
She bit her lip. "I was going to but then I decided to just tell you the truth."
I rolled my eyes clenching my jaw."Who the hell hit you?"
She rolled her eyes. "Nobody Y/n, I have to go."
"Vanessa I swear if you-"
Beep beep.
"Hang up." I threw my phone onto the bed.
She really hung up on me.
I nodded and picked my phone back up calling Summer.
I'll handle Vanessa later.
"Hey bébé."
-
"Like she actually fucking hung up on me." I said.
"Yup, you said that already," Summer lifted her head off my chest and looked at me. "You ever think that maybe it's something personal?"
"I thought we were close enough for personal stuff." I pouted.
She smiled softly. "Some stuff takes more time to tell."
I huffed. "Do you know what happened?"
She shrugged. "Yup, whatever she said happened is what happened."
Maybe I can make her slip up and say something.
I rolled my eyes. "I'm gonna kill whoever hit her, you know that right?"
She nodded. "If someone were to have hit her then I bet you would."
I frowned. "Damn your good."
She chuckled laying her head back onto my chest. "Thank you."
"Fine let's change the subject, I'm gonna have to start recording songs." I said.
She hummed. "Right."
"Should I write my first song about you?" I asked.
"No, maybe you should write your first song about your girlfriend." She said.
I nodded. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
She chuckled looking back up at me. "Ew gross."
I gasped. "Don't act like your not in love with me Winter."
"Did I tell you that I am?" She asked.
I nodded. "You sure did."
"Hm, I must've been high." She said.
"Oof, my heart." I placed a hand over my chest.
"Hey, you brought that upon yourself." She giggled.
"You could've went along with it," I said.
She smiled. "Seriously though, don't write a song about me yet."
"Why not?" I asked.
"Because that'd make things a lot harder." She said.
I inhaled deeply. "Your making it really difficult not to turn into Micheal Scott."
She laughed. "If you acted like him we would've been dating a long time ago."
"Really?" I asked. "What if I acted like Dwight?"
"I would hate you." She said.
I shook my head and pushed her off of me. "I don't even want to date you now."
She giggled and grabbed my arm. "Did I offend you?"
"Of course you did." I pulled my arm away and turned on my side facing away from her.
"Y/nnn, Dwight isn't my type." She rested her chin on my arm.
"He's everyone's type Summer." I mumbled.
She gasped and flipped me onto my back. "Who the hell is Summer?"
"You are." I said trying to roll back onto my side.
She stopped me by straddling my waist and frowning. "We've known each other for so long and you don't know my name?"
I glared up at her. "I do know your name."
"So say it." She whispered.
I bit my lip. "Is it just me or is the sexual tension getting thick?"
She rolled her eyes placing her hands on my chest. "Well you just ruined it so no."
I chuckled and wrapped my arms around her waist pulling her down. "Let's bring it back then Winter."
She smiled. "You do know my name."
My eyes widened. "I do."
She chuckled and grabbed my cheeks. "You totally guessed."
"Of course I did," I smiled running my hands up and down her back. Butterflies, no, elephants erupted in my stomach as I glanced down at her lips. She probably doesn't even realize the impact she has on me. When we have moments like this her eyes tend to get this light in them and fuck it does things to me.
She rested her forehead on mine and closed her eyes. "You having a battle in your head?" I asked.
She gulped. "You have no idea."
"Wanna tell me about it?" I asked slightly leaning up.
"I'm pretty sure you already know what it's about." She whispered.
My lips brushed against hers and her eyes snapped open. "Don't worry, I won't kiss you yet."
She bit her lip and stared into my eyes. "Um..." she trailed off. "Honestly."
I raised a brow. "Yes?"
"Forget what I said." She softly pressed her lips against mine and hummed.
I gripped her waist pulling her body closer to mine, gently kissing her back. She slid her hands up to my neck as I flipped us over, me now hovering over her. She gripped the back of my neck and wrapped her legs around my waist. Our tongues met and I ran my hand up her thigh, the kiss getting rougher. She let out a small moan as I bit her lip and pulled back slightly.
I pecked her lips repeatedly until she giggled and unwrapped her legs. I smiled and snuggled my face into her neck. "Just wait a little bit okay." I mocked her.
She smacked my back. "Well what do you expect when you look at me like that?"
I chuckled. "Oh just you wait Winter."
"For?" She asked.
I raised my head looking at her. "For the looks you'll be getting when we start dating."
She blushed. "Why don't I get those looks now?"
"I'm limiting myself, but when your mine," I bit my lip. "That filter is flying out the fucking window."
She smiled and looked away. "We'll see."
I chuckled. "Yes we will."

Everyone knows how the general story is supposed to go. A man, unwittingly going about his normal and ordinary life, is suddenly whisked off to a game style fantasy world where he is expected to become the unwavering hero of the realm. That is until the summoned hero throws a Hail Mary and gets himself transported to a tutorial world before the summoning can be completed. Add in a clumsy goddess and a broken planet and that is just where our story begins... Greetings all, thanks for taking the time to read this. This is my first story here on RRL and it's becomming one of the things I look forward to working on each day. As of June 2020, the story description has been updated (now that the characters have told me what was actually going on this author thought it prudent to update this) . Updates will be sporatic as i have time to juggle real life with writing. You the readers have become an integral part of the story helping to decide how things will progress, so enjoy the story and please leave a review or rating so this author can continue to improve the story. New chapters coming soon with edits to existing ones in process As a side note, I wish I could add a science tag to this. While this is still fiction, I have been incorporating real life scientific theories and explanations for how things could be *plausibly* explained. (No, I will not lecture on these points, but they are added to author notes) ~badw0lf

Magitech Awakenings
In this world of Terrapia, myth states that Dragons are caretakers of the chaos wheel, a band of energy that encircles the world, penetrating through the very fabric of the dimension. They tame and convert it, not only to fuel their primal magic, but also to gentler forms that man and beast alike can tap. But now they have faded away, being sighted less and less the past couple millennia. With magic weakening, science has taken root and in many cases merged in a symbiosis with magic. Guppy Bright, a 17 year old young woman, is a technomancer apprentice living in the bustling city of Nolusburg trying to make ends meet. Apprenticed to the enigmatic and somewhat crazy Technomancer Friedrich BrassTuner, she participates in an experiment meant to tap a new rich source of energy. However something goes horribly wrong and a rip in the very fabric of reality opens in the workshop, sucking in her mentor and ejecting a dying white dragon. The dragon, after examining her, takes a gamble and entwines their souls, an act that causes the dragon, Barthurthalomalew Dresnarian Kratomanger Harrowhew Objuslorow, the 5th, aka Batty, to regress into a baby dragon, sealing much of his powers and memories in the process. This act also has profound effects on Guppy, her own magic is now crazily changed in ways no one, least of all her, understands. Guppy is suddenly plunged into a world of mystery, intrigue and politics, where everyone either wants to control, or eliminate her. Armed with little but her courage and unpredictable newfound magic how will she survive and protect herself and those she loves when everyone from techno radicals, magic purists, politicians and guttersnipes are out to get her. And those may be the least of her problems if Batty's fragmented memories are any indicator.
