《The Bodyguard》| chapter - 19 |

"We were attacked." I marched towards Mel as soon as I arrived at the party.
I have no idea how but she managed to invite really sophisticated and top notch people. It was kind of scary and funny watching my dad talking to a head of Police Force.
Mel brows furrowed at my words.
"I swear it was not me. I will not harm my son." She said rather dryly.
"Not your son, just his replica. He still remains Queen's son." I reminded her with a certain level of frustration.
For a moment her eyes blazed with anger I think but then she was back to normal.
"Who attacked?" She asked in a serious tone.
"Some black ninja kind of things that vanished into thin air and was killed only by fire." I gave her a basic explanation.
She sighed and bit her lower lips looking really annoyed.
"Not again! I will handle this." With this, she hurried off in other direction.
"Care to dance?" Elias came from behind me and I realised that he was still waiting for me.
"You want to dance?" I laughed at the absurdity of the situation.
"I am stuck in some other time, have been attacked twice since I came here, I have seen someone similar to Agnes and Sir Kirk here but right now I am just stressed about every guy in the room looking at you." He said too seriously.
I just looked at him too shocked to reply.
"Now can we dance? I have questions." He said and I had a deja vu.
He said something similar when we first danced.
I felt sigh in relief as he pulled me closer to dance. It was like all my worries drifted and it was only him and me.
"Who are you?" He asked the question I could answer just now.
"I will only say the truth or else I will just not answer, okay?" I offered him a deal.
"Agreed." He said immediately.
"I am Alisha." I answered and then with courage and wild beating heart I said, "And I am not a princess."
I waited for him to react feeling slightly nauseous.
"You are not Norgivian either, right?"He asked scary calm right now.

I shook my head in a no.
"From which time are you?" He asked in a careful tone.
I decided to keep silent.
"Why have you been deceiving me?" Anger penetrated into his words.
"Because I had no other choice and I was scared." I simply out most of my feelings in words.
His gaze softened and he sighed conveying his helplessness.
"When are you going to tell me the whole truth?" He asked patiently I might add.
Now, I want to tell you all from the beginning but it is the fear of losing you that is keeping me quiet.
I have doubled deceived him, first as the Princess and second as his bodyguard and not counting the fact that I was from a different time.
But I have to tell him someday.
"Soon," I said still scared about the whole deal.
"Will it help if I said I love you?" He confessed casually yet the deepness of his voice sent tremors in my heart.
I blinked just to make sure this was real.
"Well, when I came here and realised I was in other time surprisingly my worry and first reason to go back was not my Kingdom but you so I realised I love you, loved you for the first time you met and saved my life." I was dumbstruck at his words even though he knew about my deception now.
"Will it help if I said I am scared to tell you the truth because I love you as well," I said gathering courage and his reaction made me smile.
His eyes widened as if he had no clue I even liked him.
"Definitely a big help." He inhaled sharply and replied.
We closed in for a kiss but a tentative cough made us turn our heads. I felt like digging myself in the earth because I saw my dad behind me.
I gave him the big glare lest he gives out the secret that we are related because according to me he was Arthur's dad and he should not even know me.
"Can I dance with the lady?" He asked understanding my glare well enough and overacting with all the lady drama.
"Why?" Elias outright glared at him.
He did not know that he was talking to my father. I suppressed my laughter and decided to sit back and enjoy.

"Because I am the host." My gangster dad sounded awkward.
Elias looked at me for a decision and I shrugged casually letting him decide.
"I will be watching." He said almost threatening my father.
As soon as I and my father started dancing, I bit back a chuckle at his helpless expression.
"He is protective." He said in a tone that implied he acquiesced about this situation.
I nodded to support his opinion.
"I approve." He said in a gruff tone pouring out his dad-reluctance in the words.
"What is happening, dear?" He asked with genuine concern.
I was surprised he was this calm about whole time travel thing.
"I don't know. I had no idea Mel was some kind of magic goddess and his husband is a gangster."
"Well, we rescued Mel from her husband's brutal beating last time we attacked the other gang. So, Mel being powerful is a weird concept. But her husband was ruthless to her so maybe he is not just a gangster." My father had to give this much more thought than I have.
And it was kind of scary to hear his theories on this.
"Will you go back in time again?" He asked not able to hide the pleading tone.
"You are my only family, dad. I will never leave you." And gave him a reassuring smile.
"But you love him as well." He said and I realised he could see that I loved him even when I didn't tell him.
"You know I make my own impulsive decisions, I will find a way to around both of you." And this was not a lie, I can't leave either of them.
"For now I think you will be safe with him or should he say he will be safe with you." And chuckled tiredly.
"What's wrong?" I asked since he will never send me away like that. It was not another city, it was freaking other time.
"Matthew is reported for human trafficking. He is selling girls but I don't know how to stop him. The location where he keeps them is concealed. " My dad was a gangster and all but he had his rules and boundaries.
Selling humans was one of them.
"Let me handle this one," I said with new found confidence.
And my dad gave me mob boss-glare. Which, by the way never worked on me.
"That's enough I suppose", Elias annoyed voice interrupted the talk and dad moved away giving me his sly smirk.
"Do you know the man?" He asked with a frown.
"He is the host, isn't he?" I feigned innocence.
"Well, I don't even know you well. enough. But I know he is my bodyguard's father." He said sounding a little sad.
"Soon you will know everything about me, I promise." And planted a kiss on his cheek.
"You know well enough how to get out of a difficult situation." He said with a rueful smile.
"I have a mission for us," I said since I wanted to be around Elias and I can't do the mission alone.
"Mission?" He asked.
"Yes, we have to..." I stopped realising that I can't walk in dangerous place as Alisha because this will result in a gang war.
"I meant you and your trustworthy bodyguards have to help some girls being sold for mere pleasure." Disgust surfaced in my tone.
"Selling humans?" Elias sounded disgusted himself.
"Will you help?" I ask with my puppy dog face.
"Even if you don't pretend to look too innocent, I will still help. I am a Prince with morals. But I don't know about Arthur, he might have issues." He said thoughtfully.
I had to laugh at this actions since he is the Prince and could order me to join him on a mission.
"Is he a man with a conscience?" I asked.
Prince nodded without hesitation.
"Then he will surely help." And with that, I stepped back surprising Elias a little.
"We will meet later then."
"But how will I know where to meet for the mission." He asked not letting me go easily.
"You will know," I said in a mysterious tone just for the fun of it.
It was the time I did some digging and found out something about Matthew's hidden location.
