you froze once again

sidney quickly noticed

"what do you want?" you quietly asked, not wanting to draw attention this late at night

they laughed

you just handed the phone to sid, way too scared to talk

"no!" sid yelled, catching the attention of the riley's

tatum was quick to be by her best friends sides while mrs riley rushed to get dewey

"hang up, sid" tatum said, "are you okay?" she turned to ask you before embracing you in a hug

"yeah, i just need some air" you answered with a sniffle

tatum nodded unsurely before letting go of you

you shut the door behind you as it started to rain, tears now forming in your eyes and slowly falling down your beautiful face

though you loved the riley's dearly and you're very thankful for everything they've done + continue to do, you only wanted to see one person right now

you walked until you got to the nearest gas station

"could i borrow the phone?" you asked the guy behind the counter, "go for it, but we're closing in a few" he informed you, you nodded before walking towards the telephone that sat on the wall

stu answered almost immediately

"hello?"

"stu" you let a shaken breath out

"babe? are you okay?" stu immediately sat up

"no" you answered honestly "can you please pick me up? i really need to see you" you asked

"yes of course, where are you?" stu asked, quick to stand up from his laying position

"i'm at the gas station down the road from tates" you answered "but they're closing soon" you added

"i'll be there as soon as i can, okay?" stu said

"okay" you nodded though he couldn't see it

"i love you" stu said

"i love you too" you responded before hanging up

stu got to the gas station within 15 minutes and immediately ran over to you as you waited outside

"hey, you okay?" stu asked as he held you closer than ever

"i was attacked stu" you whispered, trying not to cry again, "i was so scared" you let out a few sobs

"you're okay, i've got you" stu rubbed your back

"let's get back to my house, yeah?" stu said, "okay" you nodded before walking to stu's car, too afraid to let go of his hand

"you're okay" he reminded you before gently shutting the door and rushing to the drives side

the car ride to stu's house was silent as the both of you were lost in your own thoughts

once the both of you got to stu's house, he quickly got out of his car to make sure you got out safe. once you got out of his car, you were quick to hold his hand once more

stu quickly unlocked the door and led you upstairs after locking it again

"do you need to shower? or did you shower already?" stu asked, searching in his closet for clothes you could wear

"i showered at tatums, thank you though" you answered, "of course" stu said

"you hungry?" he asked, "no, i'm okay" you answered as you got comfortable under his sheets, "are you sure babe?" stu asked, getting comfortable right next to you

"yeah" you nodded

"do you feel comfortable with the door being open? i can always shut it if you want" stu said

"could you shut it?" you asked, "yeah, of course" stu said before getting up to shut his room door

it was silent for a moment until you spoke

"stu?" you whispered, he just hummed in response, "could you keep your lamp on too? just until i fall asleep" you asked, "okay babe" stu mumbled

you gently put your hand on his beautiful sleeping face, "how did i get so lucky?" you whispered

you knew stu had completely fallen asleep when he didn't answer, you smiled at him before shutting your eyes too
