"Is everyone waiting for us?" Raine asks as she holds Devilin's hand tightly in nervousness.

"Yes, I informed my father before we left letting him know I am bringing you back"

"What about Blue?"

"Safe at her home, they checked on her and she is all good" he assures just as they step inside of the portal, which takes them to the Martin's land where the annual ball was this year.

"I am scared," she confesses as she faces him.

"No need to be, I am here," he whispers as he pulls her in front of him and pushes her hair to one side before he places a soft kiss on the back of her neck.

"What?" she gasps as she tries to look back at him but he holds her in place.

"Remember, I will always be your home," he whispers before he let go of her and stepping away from her.

"D..." but before she could make sense of anything she finds herself engulfed into someone's arms.

"Pup" Adrian's voice whispers in her ear and she stands still in his arms.

Devilin smiles reassuring her, as she looks his way with wide-eyes but she shakes her head no when she trembles a bit overwhelmed by her emotions as tears gleam in her eyes.

Devilin opens his arms for her, as he knows she was not ready yet and she pulls away from Adrian running to her mate's arms and letting go of her tears.

"I cannot do this" she stutters burying her head in his chest.

"I will bring her back," Devilin states with a smile towards Adrian who was staring at them in a shock at her behavior.

"Come on" Devilin sighs as he picks his mate once again and walks out of the party where most of the people in there were looking their way for the reunion but his mate was not ready, not yet.

"Never ever leave me like that," Raine complains as she hits on his chest once.

"I was standing right next to you" he chuckles as he puts her down on his lap while he takes a seat on the bench inside the garden.

"You stepped away from me, I could not touch you" she huffs as she looks at him pointedly.

"Adrian was walking towards you, I was just giving you two some space"

"No, no space between us, like ever" she finalizes shaking her head.

"And you cannot just push me towards everything and expect for me to be fine, it's overwhelming and I am till scared" she adds as she looks at him from under her lashes.

"Nothing will happen"

"I got a warm welcome last time I was here and then got kicked out so excuse me if I feel like history will repeat it self...

What if they feel, they do not have any place for me, in their life and want me gone again...

Devilin says nothing but runs his hands up and down her thighs trying to calm her. They both stay like that with him running his hands and her hands on his chest staring at each other's eyes as if communicating silently.

The soft music coming out of the hall was the only sound that was between them along with the chirps of the insects in the garden.

Suddenly Raine finds herself standing with her feet stepping above his shoe with her hands wrapped around his neck and his around her waist and he kisses her forehead before he bends a bit.

With his mouth close to her ear, he whispers the lyrics that surround them softly.

"You are crazy and I am out of my mind...," he continues whispering each of the words making her bury her head in his chest as they dance slowly.

And you give me all of you" her body shakes a bit as she cannot seem to stop her tears.

"You have a terrible voice" she shivers a bit.

"Well that explains your crying, sorry" he chuckles as he hugs her rubbing her back still as they dance around to their own tune.

"But I can get used to it once in a while" she demands of him.

"I will make sure to sing you a few songs once in a while," he agrees with a smile kissing the side of her head.

"Good"

"Are you?" he asks and silence follows his question before she takes a deep breath and steps down from the top of his shoes she was stepping on.

"Can I get to punch your twin after I meet my parents?" she asks as she shuffles on her feet.

"I will make sure to close any doors for him to run or hide" he grins holding her cheeks in his palm.

"Okay, let's do this. And don't you dare step away or push me away" she warns as she bites his palm.

"I won't" he pecks on her lip before they walk once again inside of the hall where the party was on going.

"Papa" Raine clears her throat as she goes to stand in front of the man.

"Raine" he whispers softly as if scared she will run away once again.

"Hi" she smiles as she stares at his hands before she holds it in her own hands.

"Can I hug you?" he softly asks as he squeezes their hands together and she looks at Devilin biting her lower lip before she steps away from him and goes to hug her father.

"I am so sorry" Adrian chokes as he holds his daughter tightly to him.

"I am sorry too" she apologizes as once again she feels her tears gathering around her eyes.

"I was so angry at you but I understand now" she sniffs as she steps away from his arms and wipes the tears that stream down his eyes.

"I should have handled the situation different instead of kicking you out once again"

"Oh well, you can always make it up to me by giving me a few piggy rides I missed as I grew up" she tries to lighten the mood by joking but instead they both start to cry once again as both of them remember the things they missed with each other as she grew up.

"Oh god, I am making it worse," she cries as she is engulfed in her father's arms once again.

"Good thing, we have our whole life to get on things we missed" he chuckles as he holds his daughter in his arms.

"You are so not changing my diapers just because we missed it," she points out as she pushes him away from her and takes a few steps back.

"We will skip that part"

"Okay, I do not know how to ride a bike"

"Is pink your color?"

"Pink is good"

"How about braiding your hair?"

"I can pull off pigtails quiet well"

"There are some shops in here; we can go buy you some hair bands and clothes you like"

"Oh, well just for the record I always wanted to go window shopping"

"I heard you love computers"

"They are life"

"While we are it we can talk about some upgrades in our security system"

"Now you are talking" she grins as she wraps her arms around her father shoulder while they dance the night away trying to put as much of their past away as possible.

"She looks happy" Devon comments as he walks up to his brother's side whose eyes were not leaving his mate's movements.

"But you will not when she finds you" Devilin grins as he takes the fries from his brother's plate whose eyes widens.

"What did I do?" he asks gulping the food in his mouth.

"Made her cry and doubt on me"

"I did not...oh that...is she powerful?" he asks as she steps closer to his brother.

"You have no idea"

"I am your twin brother"

"She is my mate"

"You cannot do this to me, please do not do this to me"

"I will save your ass on one condition" Devilin grins as he turns to face his brother who throws the plate away and nods his head vigorously.

"What are you two doing?" Dante asks as he jumps and wraps his arms around both of his son's necks who choke.

"Nothing" Devon groans as he tries to pull his father's arms away.

"I smell something"

"I was just giving him a heads up about Raine's anger, that's it" Devilin replies before they both cough as Dante let go of his sons.

"Why?" Dante asks as he turns to face his sons.

"You will know soon" Devilin smiles sweetly.

"How soon?" Dante asks with a frown.

"How about this soon?" Adrian chuckles as Raine kicks Dante's butt and he stumbles crashing atop his son.

Both of them go tumbling down making everyone around laugh while the father son duo crashes and groan.

"That's for making me cry all this time"

"You named me Ugly duckling"

"Ugly duckling turns into a beautiful swan that is why" he shouts as he gets up and walks towards Raine with angry steps.

"Dad," Devilin steps between his mate and father trying to stop him from hurting her in any way.

"Fuck off, Dev this is between her and me"

"Yes, Fuck off Dev" Raine copies Dante yet she holds the back of his shirt and not letting him step away from her as if he would.

"Everyone is watching" Adrian comments.

"She fucking kicked my ass from behind; I am a fucking council member a bit of respect is due and her father-in-law" he shouts at Adrian who just wraps his arms around Dante's shoulder and walks away with him.

"Why do not we all in-laws sit and talk?" Adrian chuckles as he turns to winks at his daughter who winks back at him.

"All good between you two" Devilin asks as he turns and pulls his mate in his arms.

"Yes, we are going shopping, yay...he even said yes to braid my hair"

"Nice"

"Oh I still have to kick your brother," she pouts as she turns to face the man who was not in his place instead running out of the hall.

"Shoot, he is running away" Raine curses as she picks her dress up and runs behind Devon while Devilin chuckles and shakes his head.

He goes to follow his mate but something catches his eyes making him stop, he turns to face Ariel with a smile.

"Hey" she waves as she stands in front of him.

"Hey? Come here" he smiles pulling her in his arms and giving her a tight hug.

"How have you been?" he sighs as he steps away with his hands on her arm as he stares at her face.

"Fine, I see both of our mates are gelling up good," she points towards the door they ran towards.

"You can say that but I think we should hurry before one of them get hurts" he chuckles as he nods towards the door so both of them can follow their mate.

"It's too late to apologize, it's too late," Raine keeps singing while Devon keeps saying sorry for fooling her.

"I was just having fun"

"Raine" Devon whines as they keep rotating around the table in the house.

"Do you have any idea, how much these eyes of mine shed tears? And all because of you, if only you would have said no Raine I am not your mate but his twin..."

"But you would have not trusted me and think I was lying" he interrupts her.

"Oh-ho, how dare you interrupt me and you try to fool me twice, at first I would have understood but you even fooled me when I was in here...

You made me get kicked out of here" she narrows her eyes and shows her fist to him and he pouts.

"You cannot threaten or beat me; we are soon to be in-laws" he tries to man up.

"I will not beat you I will just play kick boxing with you"

"We cannot, Devilin will kill me if I win"

"Oh-ho-ho, confident much, eh" Raine laughs, before she moves her hands around her and then points his way.

Devon gasps as he flies away from the table they were rounding and crashes into the wall.

"Oh fuck" Devon curses as he holds his holds his back and groans.

"Fuck is good, fuck is what I feel" Raine whispers as she stares at both her hands.

"I can make people fly," she mutters still not believing she did what she did to him.

Both of their eyes clashes while she grins his way evilly and he looks at her in panic shaking his head in horror as he once again goes flying and crashes into another wall.

"I have super powers," she yells happily before she tosses him from one wall to another.

"Okay, I think that's enough" Devilin chuckles as he holds his mate hands at once from behind.

"What, but we just got started"

"I know but we have people to meet and talk to and he is my brother so," Devilin states as he stares in her eyes while she sighs and gives in.

"Fine" she pouts just as her eyes land on Ariel who stares her way with a smile.

"Hi" Ariel waves awkwardly while Raine keeps staring at her.

"This is called karma which is a bitch," Raine points at a groaning and moaning Devon.

"I did not even touch him well technically I did not," she continues as she feels a need to explain what she was doing with Ariel's mate as well as feeling a bit guilty.

"He is still alive, I mean he is breathing more like groaning but you get the gist. Will she kill me?" she whispers softly as she looks sideways towards Devilin who tries to hold back his laughter hearing his mate babble.

"I..." Raine goes to continue but stops as Ariel throws her arms around Raine hugging her tightly.

"I am so sorry" Ariel apologizes to Raine who stares wide-eyed towards Devilin with her arms flapping around not knowing what to do.

He just smiles before he walks towards his brother helping him up while raine slowly wraps her arms around Ariel.

"There, there it's okay" she pats Ariel's shoulder lightly not knowing what else to say.

Ariel giggles at her sister before she faces the girl and speaks.

"Even if it's a bit late, welcome home, I was mean to you the first time hopefully we will be able to bond stronger and come to love and care for each other" Ariel smiles as she touches her sister's arm.

Raine too happy just nods as she has no idea what else to say, as everything right now was too overwhelming and surreal. She feels as if she will burst with happiness so the only thing that she can do is nod her head with a wide smile while jumping a bit on her feet in excitement.
