"Can I have the next dance?" Advin asks as he taps on Devilin's arm to let go of his sister, which he gladly does.

"What's up Kiddo?" Advin grins as he ruffles her perfect hair but she does not mind as she was on cloud nine.

"Blue?" she asks as she remembers about the little girl.

"Perfectly fine, thank you" Advin smiles as they dance around.

"You are welcome, where is she and Jasmine?" she asks trying to look over Advin's broad shoulder but fails.

"In our room, Jasmine was not feeling up to joining the party and worried Blue would get lost so they are lazing around in the room" he smiles twirling her a bit.

"Oh, well why did you all throw the party in here then?" she frowns a bit confused.

"Because it's your birthday," Advin replies confused as well as he thought she knew about it.

"But it's an annual ball" she states as she looks up to stare at him.

"Yes that too"

"Now I am confused," she groans halting them in their steps.

"Me too," Advin laughs, watching his sister's comical face.

"I think I need to go find Papa" she finalizes as she walks towards her father who was looking her way with a smile.

"Okay" Advin speaks as he rubs the back of his head not knowing why she seemed a bit upset.

"Papa is it true?" she asks at once standing in front of Adrian.

"What?"

"That this is my birthday party?" she asks tapping her feet in annoyance.

"Yes, didn't Devilin inform you of that"

"Are you playing cheap?" she accuses him with a hint of anger.

"Excuse me?" Adrian asks not knowing what she meant.

"This party, how can you throw a ball and my birthday party at once, that is so cheap," she clears up, which makes him laugh loudly.

"Honey, you were born on the day we celebrate the annual ball even if we did not want to mix both of it, it seems you have more admirers than we could imagine who wanted to shift the whole ball in to your birthday party...

That is why; no one could come to our aid on time that night" Adrian whispers the last words sadly.

"Oh" Raine sighs before she smiles widely and hugs him showing her support,

"Does that mean I get to cut cake and open my gifts?" she tries to sound excited but fails.

"Your mother is seeing to it" he grins fixing her hair as few strands were out of her bun.

"Oh, that's why I have not seen her" she smiles as she goes to stand at her father's side looking around the room.

"Yes" they both fall in to a comfortable silent.

"Dante, no," Scarlet shouts swatting the man's hand away.

"What?" he pouts as he slyly licks the creams off his hand.

"That's my daughter's cake not yours" she scolds putting it away from his reach.

"So? I have the first right to this cake"

"How?"

"Well if it was not for me then no one would have met her," he proudly states making Scar roll her eyes.

"In that case, Rain has the first right as he put her in me" she pokes her tongue out while he shivers in disgust.

"My ears are bleeding," he grumbles as he washes his hands.

"Good, now if you do not get out of here something else will bleed too," she warns as she shoos him away from the kitchen door.

"Fine, fine I just thought you would need help carrying the cake away," he pouts as he goes to walk away but turns around in hope that she will stop him.

"For all I know you could just pretend on tripping and damage the cake" she warns him knowing him well.

"What? How dare you accuse me of such things?" he gasps in mock horror before he adds.

"I was just going to dump it on Raine's face," he laughs before walking out as Scar throws a spatula his way.

"Fuck" Adrian curses as the spatula lands on his chest.

"Rain" Scar gasps as she rushes to her mate's side and apologizes.

"I am so sorry"

"Well I will only accept your apology on one condition" he grins wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer to his body.

"Behave," she giggles as he tries to kiss her but she moves away knowing his moves too well.

"Oh come on," he shouts as he tries to hold her back.

"Adrian Martin, you are not a rowdy man now but a grand father" she scolds him with a smile.

"Did you just called me old?" he asks with eyes wide open while she just laughs shaking her head.

"I will show you old," he growls as he throws his mate over his shoulder.

"Arghhh, stop it and put me down Rain," Scar shrieks as he swats her ass.

"Only if you take the old part back," he orders making her hit his back.

"I never said you are old, it was you who assumed it and anyway it is true you are a grand pa now unless you want to explain to Blue about it," she laughs as he twirls with her on his shoulder.

"My wife is so smart" Adrian chuckles as he puts her down and gives her a quick kiss.

"Now help me with the cake" she pats on his cheek before turning around but Adrian wraps his arms around her waist and pulls her closer to his body as he drops a kiss on the back of her head and let's her go.

"It's my birthday" Raine cannot help but grin as she wraps her arms around Devilin who just smiles.

"I will cut a cake," she adds giddily.

"I know"

"What did you get for me?" she asks shamelessly while he pinches her nose.

"I brought you the dress and to the party" he teases and she steps away from him making a face.

"That's it?" she asks with a frown.

"Why, is there something else you want?" he asks now a bit serious seeing a lip roll down a tiny bit in a pout.

"Forget it, let's go cake arrived" she replies disheartened as she walks away from him just as her father walks in with the cake.

Devilin holds her back before he wraps his arms around her waist to stop her from getting away.

"What happened to not stepping away?" he teases using her words.

"I will step on your foot let go" she glares him.

"But I like it this way" he grins turning her around and kissing her lips softly.

"I am not going to melt just because you kissed me," she warns even if she pulls his lips closer to her.

"After the party, I promise," he whispers in between their kiss making her smile and finally she melts in his arms with a sigh.

"That's more like it" she nips on his lower lip before she pulls him along with her to cut the cake.

Everyone in the room gathers and surrounds them as she blows the candles out wishing her, her very first birthday she is celebrating among her peers and family.

Devilin cannot help but step away as his mate is looking left to right with a wide smile feeding cake to her family while jumping on her feet in giddiness.

He goes to take a step but stops himself with a shake of his head as his father holds his mate's head and shoves her in the cake but instead if being angry she just laughs aloud before she takes some cake in her hand and throws it on his face.

Moreover, he is glad he had stepped away when he did as the cake fight begins, while Scar shouts at Dante for ruining her hand made cake. Raine jumps behind her father's back screaming the word attack and both the father-daughter duo runs around the room throwing cake at the people.

He watches in amusement as he has never seen Adrian acting so childishly but he was happy that the man was finally letting go of his guilt and enjoying his time.

Next, he watches his father and twin are sneaking up to attack Adrian and Raine but fails as Raine's twin brother's stand in front of them taking the attack of cake on their faces before they start to attack throwing the bottle of sauce on them.

He smiles as he steps out of the shadow at the exact time he feels his mate searching for him, in all the fun and chaos she had forgotten his appearance but now as everything cooled down she was frantically looking around to see him.

"Stalker" he calls to get her attention and her frantic eyes turn to a smiling one as she rushes to his side.

"Where were you?" she sighs as she grins his way in happiness.

"I see you are having fun" he chuckles pulling his handkerchief from his pocket and wiping her face.

"You missed the cake," she points out before showing her dirty hands to him.

"No I did not" he replies as he puts one of her fingers in his mouth and licks it clean.

She pretends to swoon at his act making him laugh as he focuses next on wiping a few smudge on her dress.

"I have the best parents in the world and siblings and a mate," she announces at once when he is done making her look a bit like a human.

"Glad you think so, but I think it's time we say our good byes to them. But if you want to stay here" he leaves it at that waiting for her answer.

"Yes, let's go back home, we have to talk with Drag as well" she sighs turning towards where her mother was scolding her father who was grinning like a fool as he pulls her in between his legs and rubs his cheeks with her making her shriek.

"You could stay" Scar smiles as she holds her daughter's hand.

"I want to but we have some things unfinished, I promise I will come back in a few days. Can you say hi from me to Jasmine and Blue?" she requests as she hugs her mother.

"I will, you take care and come back home soon, sweetie" Scar whispers as she kisses her daughter's forehead lovingly.

"I hope we will get to do those things we talked about soon" Adrian voices as he hugs his daughter next.

"Yes, I am so excited. I will come back soon" she grins as she gets on her tiptoes and kisses her father's cheek.

"Good" Adrian smiles before he nods towards Devilin before letting his daughter go.

"Take care of her" Adrian asks to Devilin who nods with a smile before they both walk out of the room his mate left in chaos.

Both of them end up standing in her room as soon as they step out of the portal. But before she could say anything Devilin turns her back to him and pushes her hair aside, he drops a kiss on her neck making her giggle.

Raine stops her giggle as she feels something cold touch her neck she looks down and takes hold of the locket he just clasped on her neck and grins.

"Your gift" he whispers as he kisses the back of her head.

"This is beautiful," she whispers, as she cannot take her eyes off the beautiful necklace.

"I think now we can tick off one of your goals," he states and her head snaps up to watch him in confusion.

"Couple rings" he clears opening a box as he shows her the rings he had for them.

"Oh" she whispers in awe as she stares at the rings made of the same crystal she was wearing the necklace of.

"This"

"Something that connected us from the very beginning, this is what gave me my new powers and let me get to know you even better...

I broke the crystal in different pieces, a ring for both of us and a necklace and earring set from it for you" he replies as he takes out one ring and puts it on her ring finger before kissing the finger where her ring lies.

"I do not know what to say" Raine states as tears once again fill her eyes.

"Just say you are happy"

"Oh Devil, I am happy, I am more than happy. You have always given me immense happiness everyday," she sobs as she hugs him.

"And I plan to do that for the rest of our lives" he promises as he wipes her tears away.

"Does this mean we are engaged?" she asks as she pulls his ring from the box and puts it on his ring finger.

"Sure"

"Awesome" she fist pumps before pulling his phone out from his pocket and taking a few snaps.

"You are crazy, now time for bed" he chuckles ruffling her hair as he turns to walk away from her room.

"No wait" Raine shouts as she holds Devilin hands seeing him trying to walk away from her room.

"Let's watch a movie together," she requests pulling him inside of her room.

"It's late Stalker, we can do that tomorrow"

"But I am not sleepy and it's still my birthday night" she pleads making him give in.

As soon as he agrees to it, she goes to pull her dress off asking him to do it as well.

"Stalker?" he asks in confusion as she pulls her zipper down.

"What?"

"I thought we were just watching a movie" he scolds her as he pulls her zipper up.

"Yes, you can totally choose the movie but I will decide what we will wear while we do so" she wiggles her brow making him roll his eyes.

"The clothes stay" he warns as he turns to go bring the stash of DVD's"

"I hate you," she groans as she stomps towards the bed and sits down with a huff.

As the movie starts Raine gets closer to her mate and snuggles closer to him, Devilin puts his arms around her and pulls her close as well.

Then she starts to drop kisses on his neck and jaw totally forgetting about the movie, Devilin sighs as she at once straddles and keeps kissing him.

"All you had to do was say you want to kiss me" he chuckles as he holds her face and kisses her lips.

Raine let go of his lips before sucking on his neck, she licks and sucks on it before licking it some more while Devilin runs his hands all over her back.

He winces as she bites too hard on his neck making him pull her head away.

"What the..." he breathes as he touches his throbbing neck before frowning at his guilty looking mate.

"Can I know what this is about?" Devilin asks her holding her a bit away.

"I got carried away" she replies feeling guilty that she hurt him.

"Stalker" he warns as she lies to him.

"I was just trying to give you a bite mark"

"A bit of warning first," he sighs as he pushes her hair away from her face.

"Sorry" she apologizes.

"I get that you want a bite mark as well?" he asking raising a brow and she shyly smiles.

"Why did you not say so to me?" Devilin asks as he holds her jaw lightly to face him.

"Most of the people in the room had a bite mark on their neck...um...so"

"So my mate wants a mark on her neck as well?"

"No, it's not just that" she shakes her had no at once.

"Then"

"Um, you are a vampire"

"And"

"You have to live on blood too," she states in a whisper worried he will get mad at her for what she was about to say.

"What about it?" he asks in a serious tone but the twinkle in his eyes tells he was anything but.

"I do not want you to go seek blood from someone else when I can freely give it to you and I also know it's a pleasure when you suck blood from a living being and the pleasure is double when it's with your mate" she finishes it with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"What else is there on your list of goals?" he moves her hair to one side as he asks her before kissing her neck softly.

"A forever with you" she sighs when he starts to suck on the area to find the vein of blood he could feed on.

"Forever it is," he vows as he pulls his fangs out and puts it in her neck making her yelp a bit in pain.

"Happy Birthday, my Stalker" he whispers as he licks the remains of her blood away holding his mate in place as she slowly looses her consciousness and slumps her body on him.
