《Affection || Lee Know》아홉 - Being Cute

"So- is Dami ok?" Changbin asked as we sat in the car, Minho up front and me at the back.
"Not ok, but she's, she's going to get better." Minho answered his friend, though it was still very awkward in the car.
I sat silent in the back as the two of then talked, apparently they had met when they went to middle/high school together but I didn't know for sure.
"Thanks Changbin-" I said, leaving the car as Minho stayed inside to talk a bit more.
Minho followed me after a few minutes, going to his apartment to get her a change of clothes, her teddy and a few other things whilst I got her food and entertainment such as movies and books.
Changbin had driven off so we drove back to the hospital in my car, parking in the child spaces as technically, we had a child, though she wasn't with us at the moment.
"MISS WANG!" Dami shouted as I entered the room with my bag full of food/entertainment.
"How are you feeling?"
"Tired."
"Well, go to sleep darling, your dad and I are just bringing things for you to do and wear once we get out ok?"
"Are you staying with me?"
"I have work on Monday darling, but I'll stay until then ok?" I said and she smiled weakly, her face a bit bruised due to impact.
"You need to go on your date-"
"Not tonight Dami- we'll stay with you."
"No- please go on your date... I don't-" She started, sounding more like an adult than a 7 year old.
"We're ok-" I answeeed just as Minho went in.
"DAD! Please go on your date tonight!" She shouted.
"Don't shot darling-" I said and she nodded.
"Dami- we shouldn't leave you in hospital alone, we'll just postpone." Minho said and I nodded.
"Please go! And I won't be alone, I've got Mary, my nurse."
"Darlin-" I started but Minho cut me off.
"Let's go later Annie-" Minho said, winking with a little bit of a smirk.

"But we'll be back to get you to sleep,
Ok?" I said and Dami nodded, knowing she wasn't going to get better than that
.
"What's the time?" She asked, and Minho replied with, '5:34pm'.
"You two should go! I'll see you both later!" She said, moving slowly to get her teddy.
"I'm going to sleep- please don't worry." She said, and instantly slept.
How can she do that?
"Let's Go then- a quick date, Speed Date-" Minho said with a chuckle and I nodded.
We stayed in our outfits from earlier today and walked out the hospital to a café down the road.
"It's weird- our first date being right after our kid's had an accident-" Minho said.
"Our kid? She's your daughter-" I said, raising an eyebrow and Minho blushed.
I went up to the counter, seeing Chan there...
"Oh hey Chan- can I get one iced americano and one chocolate frappe." I said.
"Are you on a date?" He asked, quirking his eyebrows. He must not have seen Minho when we both walked in.
"Yes actually-" I said, and Chan smiled.
"WHO?"
Before I could answer, Minho came over to me, wrapping arms around my waist and burying his head in the crook of my neck.
"Minho?" Chan asked, as I payed with my debit card.
"Channie-Hyung!" Minho said, shocked.
"I forgot you work here on Saturday's-"
"I have done for 4 years." Chan said, going to make our drinks but still managing to talk to us.
Minho soon went to sit down as I grabbed the drinks, Chan's voice catching me before I could walk away.
"He looks at you with more admiration and attention than he ever did with Miyoung-" Chan said quietly.
I blushed like Rudolph's nose.
"No- he married her-"
"Because you weren't in the picture. He will pick you, always." Chan said before going back to another customer.
"Fuck..." I swore as I walked over to Minho.
"Min- how do you earn money when you aren't on tour?" I asked him, handing him the drink, "If you don't mind me asking-"

"Technically, being a dancer is not my full job, I'm just a lawyer-"
"A lawyer?" I asked, my mouth dropping.
"Just a lawyer?"
"Yeah- I qualified a few years ago, and have done domestic cases for a company, called JYP, for 2 years now. It's about 3 cases a week, usually abuse, neglect, things like that."
"And so you were shocked when Miyoung-ssi..." I started, not wanting to finish the sentence but he nodded.
"I've done two murder cases as well, though they aren't common."
I nodded and smiled weakly.
"Do you like your drink?"
"The iced americano? Yes."
"Good, I didn't actually know what you wanted-" I rambled on, Minho chuckling a little.
"WAE? WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?" I whined, a few people turning around to look at us but they soon turned back.
"You're so cute- awww..." He said, pinching my cheek slightly.
"Huh? You're on a date with me- and your pinching MY CHEEK." I said and he took a step back, well, scooted back in his chair, which made me giggle.
"You're cute when you're angry." He said, and kissed my cheek from across the table.
"Aish- not here."
"So what? Chan already thinks we're together-"
"But we're not." I said, smiling weakly; he nodded and avoided eye contact with me.
It was almost 8 o'clock when we left the café, and we hurried back to the hotel, Minho phoning Miyoung to tell her what had happened to her daughter.
"I don't care! I'm in fucking rehab and you expect me to give a shit about someone other than myself-" I head her shout over the phone, which disgusted me.
You don't care about you're daughter? Who is in hospital, with broken limbs and bleeding?
Fuck yourself woman.
Minho hung up eventually and we didn't speak for a few minutes; he probably knew I could hear her.
We entered the ward, Dami was asleep and we sat beside her on the sofa.
I rested my head on Minho's shoulder, and almost fell asleep before Dami woke up.
"Mum! Dad! Can we watch a film?" She asked, though it was almost 10pm.
Minho agreed, knowing he'd fall right back to sleep if he didn't do something, especially when Dami was awake.
He didn't want to be asleep when she was awake.
"I'll go home and get us a change of clothes ok?" I said, Minho nodded, handing me the key to his apartment.
I drove home and went to Minho's apartment first.
I grabbed a pair of tracksuit bottoms, a hoodie and some slippers, as-well as another hoodie which I liked the look of, I'm sure Minho wouldn't mind.
I left Minho's apartment, as an old lady living across the hall from me was stepping out at the same time, and she caught me so said;
"Are you dating that new handsome man who moved in last weekend?"
"No Mrs Lim." I said, and she giggled.
"Why are you leaving his apartment so secretively, something must have happened last night?" She said, winking before scuttling off to the lift as I entered my apartment.
I grabbed joggers, a blanket and two pillows from my apartment before hurrying back to the hospital, seeing Dami fast asleep.
"You're not asleep?" I asked, Minho chuckled before taking his clothes pile and changing in the bathroom adjacent to Dami's room.
He came out, wearing the clothes and he looks so cozy. I went inside the bathroom, changed into my joggers and his hoodie before leaving the room, having brushed my teeth also.
"Wearing my jumper are we?" He asked, pulling me close to him under the blanket on the sofa.
"Do you mind?"
"Not at all- as long as we can go on a proper date when Dami's out." Minho said, his face pressing against mine.
"I guess we'll have to decided a time." I said, giggling as I rest my head on his shoulder.

Godfather Of Champions
This is a story about the pursuit of victory.— «I subscribe only to the theory of victory. I only pursue victory. As long as I am able to obtain victory, I don’t care if it’s total football or counterattack. What is the ultimate goal of professional soccer? In my opinion, it is victory, and the pinnacle of victory is to become the champions. I am a manager. If I don’t wish to lose my job or be forgotten by the people, there’s only one path for me to take, and that is to lead the team in obtaining victories, in obtaining championship titles!»The main character was not well-liked by people.— «⋯We conducted a survey which had been deemed by Manager Tony Twain as extremely meaningless. In a random street survey conducted, ninety-three percent of those surveyed chose the option ‘I hate Tony Twain’, while only seven percent chose the option ‘This person is rather decent, I like him’. It is worth noting that nobody chose the option ‘Who is Tony Twain? I don’t know him’. Mark, do you know why Manager Twain felt that our survey was very meaningless?» Parker, a reporter from laughed loudly and said when he was being interviewed by BBC.But there were also people who were madly in love with him.— When Tony Twain was forced to talk about the survey conducted by during an interview, his reply was : «I am happy, because Nottingham Forest’s fans make up seven percent of England’s population.»And he did not seem to care about how the others saw him.— «What are you all trying to make me say? Admit that I am not popular, and everywhere I go will be filled with jeers and middle fingers. You all think I will be afraid? Wrong! Because I am able to bring victory to my team and its supporters. I don’t care how many people hate me and can’t wait to kill me, and I also won’t change myself to accommodate the mood of these losers. You want to improve your mood? Very simple, come and defeat me.»His love story had garnered widespread attention.— «Our reporters took these pictures at Manager Tony Twain’s doorsteps. It clearly shows that Shania entered his house at 8.34pm and she did not leave the house throughout the night at all. But Manager Tony Twain firmly denies, and insists that that was merely the newest-model inflatable doll which he had ordered. He was the number one star of the team.— «⋯ Became the spokesperson of world-wide famous clothing brands, shot advertisements, frequented the fashion industry’s award ceremonies, endorsed electronic games, has a supermodel girlfriend. His earnings from advertisements exceed his club salary by seventeen times, owns a special column in various print medias, publishing his autobiography (in progress), and is even said that he is planning to shoot an inspirational film based off his own person experiences! Who can tell me which part of his life experiences is worthy of being called ‘inspirational’? Hold on⋯. Are you all thinking that I’m referring to David Beckham? You’re sorely mistaken! I’m talking about Manager Tony Twain⋯.»He was very knowledgeable about Chinese soccer.— «⋯ I’ve heard about it, that Bora gifted four books to his manager Mr. Zhu before your country’s national team’s warm up match. After which, the team lost 1:3 to a nameless American team from Major League Soccer. The new excuse that Mr. Zhu gave for losing the match, was that Bora gifted «books» (‘books’ and ‘lose’ are homophones in the Chinese language). Here, I recommend that you guys find out what that one specific book is. Which book? Of course the one that caused you all to score a goal. After that, tell me the title of the book. Before every match, I will gift ten copies of that same book to you. In that case, won’t you all be able to get a triumphant 10:0 win over your opponents every time?» An excerpt taken from Tony Twain’s special column in a certain famous Chinese sports newspaper. He was loved and hated by the press.— «He has a special column in at least four renowned print media, and he is able to get a considerable amount of remuneration just by scolding people or writing a few hundred words of nonsense weekly. While we have to contemplate hard about our drafts for three days before our boss is pleased with it. In an article inside his special column, he scolded and called all of the media ‘son of a bitch’, announcing that he hated the media the most. But every time he publishes an article, we flock towards him like flies which had spotted butter. Why? Because the readers like to read his news and see him scold people. I dare to bet with you, and Manager Tony Twain knows clearly in his heart as well, that even though he says that he hates us, he knows that the present him cannot do without us. Similarly, we also cannot do without him. Is this ultimately considered a good or a bad thing?» Bruce Pearce, a reporter from said with a face of helplessness when talking about Tony Twain. But no matter the case, his players were his most loyal believers.— Gareth Bale, «No no, we never had any pressure when playing on our home grounds. Because the pressure is all on the manager. As long as we see him standing by the side of the field, all of us will feel that we will be able to win that match. Even the football hooligans are like meek lambs in front of him!» (After saying this, he began to laugh out loudly)The reply from George Wood, the team captain of Nottingham Forest, was the most straightforward. «We follow him because he can bring us victory.»The legendary experience of Tony Twain, the richest, most successful, most controversial manager with the most unique personality!Debuting this summer.Thank you for reading.
