You start to follow where Undyne went, it's easy to follow her footprints on the ground. You kept following them and started to hear a spooky song

Y/n: Oh, it's coming from that ghost's house let's take a look

Chara: We have to?

Y/n: I want to at least try and be friendly with everyone

Chara: Fine....

You entered the house and the ghost looked at you

Napsta: Oh... You actually came... It's not much... But feel at home...

You started to look around and look at the fridge

Napsta: Are you hungry? I can get you something to eat

Y/n: Nah, I'm good

Napsta: Oh... Okay... You know... After a great meal, I like to lay on the ground and feel like garbage... It's a family tradition...

Chara: Not depressing at all

He floats to the center of the house and lay on the ground, you just follow his lead

You stand behind him

He puts the bone away and knocks in the door, right after, the fish-lady opened the door

She enters slightly mad and Papyrus enters super happy, you just follow them lazily

He shows the bone and she takes it

She opens a drawer that's full of the same looking bones and places it with them.

Chara: Yeah, she loves them

Undyne: So are we ready to start?

Y/n: Uh...

Papyrus: WHOOPSY DOOPSY! I JUST REMEMBERED! I HAVE TO GO TO THE BATHROOM!! YOU TWO HAVE FUN!!!

Papyrus just jumps out of the window breaking it and running away

Undyne:...

Y/n: Why break the window?

Chara: Yeah, break the whole wall

Undyne:... So why are YOU here?

She starts to get aggressive towards you

Y/n: Whoa there!

Undyne: To rub your victory in my face? To humiliate me even further? IS THAT IT?

Chara: Why the hell are you screaming?

She yells and a spear starts to form, but suddenly stops and she puts her hand in her torso trying to ease the pain until you see a little bit of blood

You help her seat at the table and run looking for medical supplies, you then found a little med-kit in her room and started helping her out

Undyne: What? Why are you helping me??

Y/n: It'll be best for every monster if their heroine is still alive

She shuts up and lets you help her, after some time, you're finished and she looks a little better, but a little uncomfortable as well

Y/n: Don't mention it, but you best go change that shirt, it's kinda bloody...

She goes to her room and you sit at the table waiting for her.

Chara: You really need to get this friendly?

Y/n: No, but I did hurt her kinda badly

Chara: Your arm has a fucking hole in it because of the fight

She then comes back and looks at you

Y/n: What about this giant sword?

Undyne: Humans suck, but their history... Kinda rules. Case in point: this giant sword! Historically, humans wielded swords up 10x their size. RIGHT?

She says angrily and you just smile a little bit while Chara frowns and turns her back to you, you notice and stop pointing at Undyne

Y/n: (Are you jealous?)

Chara: No! Why should I? We're nothing, I'm just soul-bounded to you that's... Oh...

You chuckle a bit

Undyne: Just point at something you can drink...

Y/n: Can I have some of that golden tea?

Undyne:...Tea, huh? Coming right up!

She slowly starts to prepare two cups of tea

Undyne: It'll take a moment for the water to boil

Y/n: Just, don't push yourself, You had a really bad cut in the chest

Chara: YOU HAVE A LITERAL HOLE IN YOUR ARM, I CAN'T EVE COMPREHEND HOW YOU'RE STILL ABLE TO MOVE IT!

After a moment she pours the water on the cups

Undyne: okay, it's all done!

She puts the cups on the table and sits facing you

Undyne: Here we are, but careful, it's hot

You pick up the cup and wait for a little, but Undyne is already drinking it

Undyne: It's not THAT hot!! Just drink it already!

You take a sip of the tea, you burned your tongue and softly smiled, it's a pretty good tea.

Undyne: It's pretty good, right?

Y/n: Yeah... It is

Undone: You know, It's kinda strange that you choose that tea

Y/n: Golden flower tea?

Undyne: Yeah... That's Asgore's favorite kind

Chara: Yeah, he loved that stuff, maybe he still does

Y/n: Really? Wow, that's cool

Undyne: Actually, now that I think about it... You kind of remind me of him.

Y/n: Oh, okay, that's nice

Undyne: You're both TOTAL weenies!!!... Sort of...

You stop for a bit, looking at her and slowly drinking your tea

Undyne: Ya' know, I was a pretty hotheaded kid. Once, to prove I was the strongest, I tried to fight Asgore.

Chara: Hotheaded? Who would have imagined??

You said looking at Chara with a little smile

She gets up, walks to her oven and suddenly stops

Undyne: Wait a second. Papyrus... His cooking lesson... HE WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE THAT RIGHT NOW!!!

Y/n: Okay?

Undyne: And if HE's not here to have it... YOU'LL HAVE TO HAVE IT FOR HIM!!!

Y/n: The fuck?

Chara: You're screwed, loser

She throws everything that was in the table to the ground

Undyne: That's right!!! NOTHING has brought Papyrus and I closer than cooking! Which means that if I give you his lesson... WE'LL BECOME CLOSER THAN YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE!!!

Undyne: Let's start with the sauce!!

She stomps on the ground and some vegetables fell from the ceiling

You start looking at them, and suddenly your aura gets darker

Undyne: Now!! Pound them to dust with your fists!!

You punched them so hard they become a literal sauce

Chara: What is this determination? How are you this dense?

You slowly shrugs

Undyne: YEAH YEAH! Our hearts are uniting against these healthy ingredients!... But let's just scrape this into a bowl later.

Y/n: Sounds fair

Undyne: But for NOW!

She stomps the ground again and a pot and some noodles fall from the ceiling again

Undyne:... We add the noodles! Homemade noodles are the best! BUT I JUST BUY STORE-BRAND! THEY'RE THE CHEAPEST!!!

You and Chara chuckle bit and put the noodles as strong as you can in the pot breaking every single one of them when the hit the bottom of the pot

Undyne: YEAH!!! I'M INTO IT!!! Alright! Now it's time to stir the pasta! As a general rule of thumb, the more you stir, THE BETTER IT IS! Ready? Let's do it!

You stir as hard as you can, breaking the spoon and bending the pot

Undyne: Fuhuhuhu! That's the stuff! Alright, now for the final step: TURN UP THE HEAT! Let the stovetop symbolize your passion! Let your hopes and your dreams turn into burning fire!

Y/n: ALRIGHT, CAPTAIN!

Undyne: READY? Don't hold anything back!!!

You start turning up the heat, making it hotter and hotter until... The house was burning... You and Undyne had ashes on your faces and Chara looked at you dumbfounded

Undyne: Ah. Man, no wonder Papyrus sucks at cooking.

You both start to laugh real hard while Chara looked actually worried

Chara: We need to get out, you're gonna die here

Undyne: So, what's next? Scrapbooking? Friendship bracelets?... Oh, who am I kidding? I really screwed this up, didn't I?

Y/n: If screwing things up, is the same as making me have fun, then yes

Undyne: What? Be honest with me! I can't force you to like me, human. Some people just don't get along with each other. I understand if you feel that way about me...

Undyne closes her eye

Y/n: Don't just throw all this in the garbage, Undyne, this was real fun, I can't remember the last time I felt so good in my life, sad part is, you lost your house, but, shit happens

Undyne: You are serious about this... Aren't you?... You know... At first, I hated your stupid saccharine schtick, but... The way you acted right now, it... Reminded me of someone I used to train with. Now I know you aren't just a wimpy loser. You're a wimpy loser with a big heart! Just like him... Listen, Y/n... It seems that you and Asgore are fated to fight. But knowing him... He probably doesn't want to.

Y/n: Neither do I...

Undyne: Talk to him. I'm sure you can persuade him to let you go home. Eventually, some mean human will fall down here... And I'll take their soul instead. That makes sense, right? Fuhuhu.

Y/n: Then let me help you... Or help me and Asgore to break the barrier... I can't just leave this place and leave all of you guys trapped down here... My kind was the real monster... You both walk out of the house, it's engulfed in flames, there's no saving it

Undyne: Well, that was fun, huh? We'll have to hang out again another time...! But, uh, somewhere else I guess. In the meantime, I guess I'll go hang with Papyrus.

Y/n: Alright, seems like there's no saving your house, sorry about that

Undyne: It's ok, I'll just stay at Papyrus until... Something happens

Y/n: Welp then, see ya later

She runs away and you and Chara are left alone

Chara: What now?

Y/n: I wanna play the piano again

Chara: Really?

Y/n: When we fought Undyne, there was a Music in the background, it was probably the wind, but it sounded nice, I Wanna try and play it

Chara: Let's go then

You grab her hand and walk back at the Piano, on the path there you found Monster Kid again

MK: YO DUDE, You're still alive! Did you beat up Undyne?

Chara: No, but I wish he did

Y/n: Kinda, we both got hurt

MK: Yo... Can you tell your friend behind you to stop smiling so creepily?

You and Chara look behind you but there's nothing there

Chara: He's talking about who?

Y/n: Erm... There's... No one?

MK: Yo... I think I'll go back home... This was scary... He's gone now!

MK runs away and you and Chara were left without knowing what he was talking about, but you both shook it off and walked back to the piano, getting there, you sat at the piano again and started playing some notes until you found the right ones.

Chara looks at you a little worried, her chest starts glowing a faint red

Y/n: What was that?

Chara looks at you thinking a little and you notice that she looks less transparent but then goes back to the ghostly form

Chara: That's weird

She looks at the piano and then at open passage that you ignored last time

Chara: We need to see that, it was your reward, no?

Y/n: Maybe... Are you okay?

Chara: I'm just dazed, that felt weird, but I'm fine

You look at her kinda worried but she gives a sincere smile

Y/n: If you say so, I'll go check the passage

Chara: You think you're gonna leave me behind?

She follows you through the opening and all you see is a red stone that looks like a Ruby on top of an altar, and as soon you approached it, it started glowing with your soul

Chara: What is this...?

Y/n: I wanna test something

You run back at the piano and start to play another song

While pressing every single note, you feel your energy is restored, you feel the determination flowing in your veins, you notice the artifact is also glowing in sync with your soul

Chara & Y/n: This can help us control the Determination

Y/n: And maybe help you with what you want

She smiles at you and you both go for a hug
