After agreeing to help Yu Bai, no matter how hard he tried, Yu Jiang could not sleep. So as he sits up on the worn out mat, he was reminded of the time Yu Zhen attacked the young master of the Eryu group. For some strange reason, the same feeling of chilliness and anxiety ran thru his mind and body. It was almost as if he could sense that something unpleasant is coming. This made him really want to just run away, but since he's already made a promise to Yu Bai, he could not back out.

This went on throughout the entire night until dawn.

When the sun did come up, as Yu Bai diligently heads out to complete her usual tasks, Yu Jiang began gathering information about the competition, which was not hard since everyone is talking about it.

By noon, Yu Jiang learned that formally, the first round of the competition will happen in the center of the capital, at the grand rest house Floret. However, there is a secret first impression test that will be factor into the candidate's score.

Unknown to the normal contestant, there will be a few secret judges who will not only score their appearance but also their mannerism as well. Thankfully, Yu Ning is not a normal contestant, and therefore knew of this information. Thanks to her, now, Yu Jiang also knows of it as well.

Having spent a little over a year with Yu Bai, Yu Jiang believes that Yu Bai will pass the personality portion easily. Once Yu Bai cleans up, she will also look cute. Therefore, her appearance is not a big issue as well. The thing that Yu Jiang is worry about is what talent Yu Bai will be able to showcase, that will be amazing enough for her simple background to be disregarded by the judges.

Aside from chores and work, in the past year-ish Yu Jiang had yet to see Yu Bai do anything that he can consider astonishing or a recognizable talent. Based on what Yu Jiang had overheard, many of the girls from the wealthier family have opt to either play an instrument, sing, or dance. Now, Yu Jiang has no idea whether Yu Bai will be able to do any of those three things. However, given that so many people are doing them, Yu Jiang feels that it'll actually be to their benefit to not do any of those three things. Besides, a person can only sit thru so many music acts before they begin to lose interest.

As the day comes to an end, when Yu Jiang returns home, like usual Yu Bai is there waiting for him. However, to Yu Jiang's surprised, he sees that Yu Bai had already cleaned her face.

As Yu Jiang stares at Yu Bai's clean face, a small blush begins to tint her cheeks and turn them a rosy pink color as she shyly mumbles out, "I cleaned my face."

Nodding his head in an 'un-huh' way, Yu Jiang makes his way to the table and sat across from Yu Bai.

"I've heard the first round will be a talent round. What do you want to showcase as your talent?" Yu Jiang asks as he begins to slip on a cup of plain tea.

As Yu Bai twiddle with her fingers, she nervously says, "Um... I. I don't know."

Having already predicted Yu Bai's answer, Yu Jiang begins to go over the list of things that she could do.

Originally, Yu Jiang thought that a magic illusion will be a great talent to show, however as he thought more about it and took the time that he is currently in into consideration, he realized that the people in this world may potentially have a bad reaction to it. And the last thing that he'll want is for people to chase Yu Bai with pitch forks.

So as he begins to go down the list of potential things that Yu Bai could do, he quickly realized that she couldn't really do any of them. It was even hard for her to simply copy him.

As they reach the last thing on the list, Yu Jiang reluctantly decided to see if she could dance a simply dance. However, like the other things, her movements were too stiff and inconstant.

Eventually, as a last resort, Yu Jiang decided to ask Yu Bai to sing.

As he watch Yu Bai nervously place her hands on her stomach, Yu Jiang tells her, "Take in a deep breath. Hold it in. now breath out."

After doing this three time, he saw that Yu Bai's shoulders have relaxed a little and tells her to begin.

However, as Yu Bai gives him a nod and opens her mouth, she quickly shuts it again and looks nervously at Yu Jiang before telling him, "I don't know any songs."

Sighing internally, Yu Jiang tried to think of the easiest but still emotional song that he has heard on Earth and slowly walks her through the song.

When Yu Bai had finally gotten the song down, the sky had long ago, change from amber red to pitch black.

As Yu Jiang watch Yu Bai take in a deep breath and then nervously start the song, to his surprised, once Yu Bai's nervousness recede, she was actually a great singer. Her voice was soothing and soft, and the emotion on her face along with her looks match the song well.

Now, Yu Bai did make a few mistakes here and there, however, given the time that they have and their circumstances, Yu Jiang thought that it was pretty good. Now he just has to have Yu Bai practice 24/7 until it is ingrain in her very soul. That way, even if she is nervous, the words will still instinctively come out of her mouth.

With one problem out of the way, after a long day, both Yu Jiang and Yu Bai crashed.
