"Two star-crossed lovers"

They seem so destined

Yet,

They die.

He said he loves her,

And he hangs around a bit.

Later then he ran away.

Though my story ain't like that,

It's not far off.

He says that he's in love,

Asking if I love him back.

To that I say, "I'll try."

So he hangs around a couple days

And then he just, runs away.

No words to say good-bye.

I thought he liked me,

I guess that he did not.

It stings a bit.

I don't know what to do.

I'm not quite sad.

I'm just confused.
