Voices in my head,

Telling me it won't work out.

Telling me that I'm not good enough.

I try to run,

I try to talk to others but,

The voices are so much faster,

Catching up and saying,

"They all hate you."

No matter how much

I try to hide

And speak my mind,

I'm scared to just mess up,

Of people hating.

The voices tangle me up

In its claws,

I can't get out.

I want to fight it off,

To cut the claws off,

To run away.

No matter how much I run,

It never seems far enough.

I guess this is harder,

Than I thought.
