When you arrived at your parents house, your mom told you that they are hosting a welcoming party for you. Only the closest friends and neighbors are invited. But it turns out that they invited the whole neighborhood. They also got a buffet, and a waiters who is serving sushi's and expensive wine.

"it's so nice to meet you Kendall." Your neighbor said to your boss and shake her hand.

"My pleasure." She said as she smiled to your neighbor. "It's nice to see you Kara." You smiled at the girl.

"Why didn't you tell me that you are like the Alaskan Kennedy?" She said as she pulled you to the corner.

"How could i? We are only talking about you, for the last three years."

"You know what? Time out okay? We need to stop bickering and we have to act like we are into each other." She said to you.

"Okay, that's not a problem with me. I can be a devoted fianceé. But you-- there's going to be a problem for you. You have no emotions to other people, like you are--"

"Y/N?" You looked at the old man and you saw you dad's friend.

"Oh, hi Mr. McCallum! This is Kendall." You introduced her to your father's friend.

"So i always wanted to know, what does a book editor do?" Mr. McCallum asked you.

"That's a great question Adam. I'm curious to know the answer myself." Your dad said to you while holding a glass of whisky.

"Hey dad." You said and you gave him an awkward hug.

"This must be Kenny." He said looking at Kendall.

"I'm Kendall." Your dad offered his hand to your boss and she shake it. "Plesures mine sir." She daid.

"So uh, why don't you tell us what a book editor does? Besides taking writers out to lunch and getting bond?"

"Oh that sound fun." Your father's friend said. "No wonder you like being an editor Y/N." He said smiling at you.

"Oh no, no Adam. Y/N is not an editor, she's an editor's assistant." You looked down on your feet because your father is trying to embarrass you in front of his friend and your boss. "Kenny here is the editor." He added and sips in his whisky.

"Kendall." She said correcting your father.

"Oh, so your Y/N's boss?" Adam asked your boss. She just gave him a nod not trying to say anything so she couldn't embarrass you like your father did a while ago.

"I'm gonna get a refill." Your father said as he walked away.

"Wow. Charming.." Kendall whispered to you, you let out a heavy sigh.

You followed your father on the living room, you just also want to stop bickering with him. You and your dad are not in good terms ever since you left your town to chase your dream of being an editor. He wanted you to take over the family businesses because you are his only child. He wanted you to inherit everything he built, but you think a business career is not for you. You love reading books, you are happy when you are writing novels and you love to live in the city.

"That was a hell of impression dad." You said.

"What the hell Y/N. You showed up here after all this time with the woman you hated and now you are dating her?" He said looking really pissed at you.

"Dad we just got here. Can we wait two seconds before we throw the kitchen sink at each other?"

"It looks like you are just sleeping with her to promote you as an editor.." He said.

"Actually i have to let you know that the woman in there is one of the most respected editor in New York."

"She's your meal ticket Y/N." You got offended to what he said to you. Because he never believes in you, he always thought that you are just playing and messing around with your life.

"No, no.. She's not my meal ticket dad. She's my fianceé." You blurted out to him.

"What did you say?"

"You heard me, i'm getting married." You said and you walk in middle of everybody.

Wow. Y/N's father is kinda rude to her, i'm really thankful that my father always supports me in every decisions i made with my life. I'm just not out with them, i'm scared because i don't want them to be mad at me. I'm walking around the house, and Y/N's parents house is beautiful. It's not actually a house, it's a mansion.

"Care for Sushi ma'am?" A funny looking guy asked me.

"Oh no, no. Thank you." I said.

"Try this, you'll like it." He said.

"I think you are very sweet but i don't wa--" He put the fucking sushi on my mouth. Are you fucking kidding me?! Gross! I don't eat sushi, i love fish but i'm not fonded with the taste of sushi.

"See? It's delicious right?!" I tried to chew the sushi and the texture is giving me goosebumps. I'm about to swallow it when i heard what Y/N said.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, i have an announcement to make. Kendall and i are getting married!" I quickly spit the food on the waiter that gave me that sushi.

"Oh my! I'm so sorry.."

"No it's okay. It's wash and wear." He said and he looked like he was about to cry.

"Uh babe? Where you at?" I slowly walk towards her. I'm not used to all this attention, damn you Y/N. "Come here babe."

She said as i walk towards her, while the people are applauding and cheering for us. "Congratulations Y/N and Kendall." I smiled at the guy who congratulate us.

"So that was your idea of telling them we're engaged? Cause it's really a great time." I said with sarcasm.

"Y/N, hi." A girl greeted my assistant.

"Barbs? Oh my god." She said and she quickly pulled the bit-- i mean the girl for a hug. "How are you doing? I didn't know you are going to be here."

Your mom wanted it to be surprise, so.. Surprise!" She said to my assistant smiling and they both laughed Uh guys? I'm here. Am i a joke to both of you? "And we are being rude.. Hi." No shit BARBS. Ugh.

"Oh, yeah sorry. This is uh-- my ex Barbara." Ex huh?

"Hello. You can call me Barbs." She said offering her hand to me, and not being rude i'm going to shake it.

"Oh hi. Wow, wow. Kendall, Y/N's fianceé." I said to her smiling.

"Yup, i heard. Congratulations to you guys."

"Thank you."

"So? Did i miss the story?" She asked looking at me and Y/N.

"Huh? W-what's story?"

"About how you proposed Y/N." She said slightly hitting her arm. More like i proposed to her, and she embarrassed me in front of all the people in Immigration office.

"Yes! I wanna hear the story too honey. Would you tell us Y/N?" Her mom said and gammy agreed to her. Oh my god, what will we tell them? I wanna disappear right now, fuck.

"You know what? Kendall here, loves telling stories. So i'm just gonna go ahead take a seat and listen. Right babe?" She said smiling at me. Okay fine, we are going to this my way..

Kendall told all the visitors and your family a make up story about how you proposed to her. She embarrass you in front of many people on how you cried and make an effort to her. How head over heels you are to her, everytime she's telling all the people on how you almost worship her she's glanced at you looking for your reaction. The truth is, she is laughing inside while looking at your embarrassed face.

"That is quite a story." Your mom said.

"Yes, YN/N you are so sensitive dear." Your gammy held your hand and you chuckles. You glare at Kendall and she just smirked at you. Knowing that she wins at you this time.

"Let's see a kiss! Come on Y/N. Give her a kiss." Your friend Jake said to you while clanging his glass.

"Oh no.." You said.

"Oh yeah! Come on Y/N. Just one kiss." He said again and you gave your childhood friend a death glare.

You looked at your boss asking for permission and she nodded at you, "Okay here it goes." You kissed her on the cheek. The people are not satisfied with what you did.

"What the hell is that? Kiss her on the mouth, like you really mean it!" The people started to chant 'kiss her'. You quickly kissed her on the lips, it didn't last three seconds. It's just a smack with no affection to each other.

"Oh Y/N/N! Give her a real kiss." Your gammy said to you. You let out a sigh because this is going to be awkward for you and your boss.

"Fuck it, just do it. Just do it.." She whispered to you making sure that you are the only one hearing it.

You cup her cheeks and gently put your lips against her. The kiss lasted almost ten seconds, it's a sweet kiss. The people applaud at both of you, as you both pulled away. "Oh.." That came out to your mouth. You are surprised because you felt something in your heart and inside your stomach. You've never felt that for a long time.

Both of you stared at each other's eyes. She looks like she's also surprised because of the kiss, but both of you don't really have a choice. You have to make people believe that you are in love with each other. Your grandmother pulled both of you into a hug. "I'm so happy for both of you!" Your gammy said. You and Kendall hugged her while trying to avoid an eye contact with each other because both of you can feel the awkwardness.

"So, this is going to be your room Kendall." Your mom said to her.

"Wow. Thank you guys, this is beautiful. The view, and that exquisite bed.." Kendall said to your mom and grandma. "So uhm-- where is Y/N's room?"

"Oh sweetie, we're not under illusions that you and Y/N don't sleep in the same beds. She'll sleep in here with you." Your mom said to your boss. Kendall let out a nervous laugh.

"Uh, yeah great. Because w-we love to snuggle. Don't we babe?" She said and you agreed with her. A cute dog came running to Kendall as he barked at her. "Oh my god. W-what is it?" She said looking shocked because the dog attacked her feet.

"Whoa! Whoa! Who's this guy? Oh my god. You are so cute!" You said and you lift him in your arms.

"That's Kevin. Sorry Kendall, he's still on training." Your mom said while petting Kevin.

"Just don't let him outside, the eagle will snatch him." Your gammy said.

"Oh no, don't listen to her. She's just pulling your leg." You said while petting the dog as he licks you in your face.

"By the way, there are extra towels and linens here in the cabinet." Your mom said opening the cabinet showing you all the towels.

"If you could get jelly tonight, use this. It has a special power on it." You grandma pulls out a blanket with a stripes design on it.

"Wow, what kind of power gammy?" Kendall asked.

"Dear since you and my Y/N/N are already engaged i'm pretty sure you know about her little friend down there." Your eyes widened because you know that Kendall doesn't know about that. You didn't told anyone in the office because you are ashamed by that.

"Wha-- Gammy!" You said.

"It's okay babe." She said smiling to your grandmother. "I already know about that.." She whispered in your ear.

"I call that a baby maker." Gammy said to you and Kendall.

"Okay, wow. We should uh-- be careful with that one huh?" She said and you threw the baby maker blanket on the bed.

"You guys gets some rest, goodnight everybody." Your mom said as she walked out the door.

"Goodnight to both of you love birds." Your gammy said while she's wiggling her eyebrows at you and Kendall.
