《A Fiery Love: A Charlie Weasley Love Story》Chapter 15: Professor

“Reducto!”
A blue light flashed past my head. I looked back at where the curse came from. A woman was standing a few feet behind me. Her face was contorted with anger. She raised her wand ready go attack again, but I beat her to it.
“Expelliarmus!” And with that her wand with flying out of her hand.
“You think you’re better than everyone else, don’t you?” She took a step towards me. “Well you’re not!” She shook her head in a mocking way. “Dad left you and even your own mother despises you. No one wants you.”
As she walked towards me I walked backwards. I tripped and fell over a tree root, but she still continued to come towards me.
“At least I did the right thing and gave it away instead of keeping it and hating it like your so called mother.”
She let out a horrid laugh and stood over me.
“You’re such a coward. You have your wand in your hand and you don’t even use it to defend yourself. Just like that night at Hogwarts.”
She walked away from me and picked up her wand. She twirled it in her hands menacingly.
“Don’t worry, I won’t kill you. But you won’t remember anything after this.” She raised her wand and smirked at me.
“Obliviate!”
I woke up dripping wet. The woman was from my previous dream. It had been 5 weeks since I had that dream or any other nightmare for that matter.
I glanced over at a sleeping Charlie. I was relieved I didn’t wake him. He needed his rest; in the morning he would be transferring a Horntail to Derry, Ireland for breeding.
I laid back down and tried to push the dream out of my mind. Why was this happening to me? I closed my eyes and drifted back to sleep.
I woke up in bed alone. I sat there on the verge of tears because I’d never felt so alone in my life.
I got up and undressed to take a shower. The water hit me, but it was as if I couldn’t feel anything. My mind was ringing with the words she said, No one wants you. I quickly shook my head knowing that wasn’t true. Sure my mom was cold hearted, but I knew deep down inside she loved me. Even if my mom didn’t care for me I had Charlie and to be honest that’s all I ever needed.

As I got out of the shower a thought hit me, and I knew what I was going to do. It was time to visit Hogwarts once again.
I apparated to Kings Cross Station in hopes Platform 9 ¾ would be there. I walked until I was between Platforms 9 & 10. Memories flooded back as I stood there. My first time going through the wall I was in disbelief that all this was happening, now here I was eleven years later looking at the concrete wall like an idiot.
“Could you move Lady?” Said a small voice. I turned to see a young girl with all her Hogwarts supplies and an owl perched on top of it all.
“Oh! I’m sorry!”
“It’s ok Lady!” She took off and disappeared within the wall.
I walked right behind her and saw hundreds of children and their parents getting ready to leave and say goodbye.
Was it really September already?
I got on the train and found an empty compartment to sit in. My mind drifted off to the first time I sat in these compartments.
My legs daggled off the seat as I looked out the window at the passing scenery. Butterflies filled my tummy at the thought of leaving home for months and starting a new school. I worried about not making friends and failing my classes. I was startled when the compartment door slid open and a boy with curly brown hair was standing at the doorway.
“Can I sit with you?” He asked quietly.
“Sure.” I shrugged my shoulders and looked back outside the window.
“My name’s Sebastian Gregory.” He gave me a sweet smile.
“Isabella Jennings.”
Sebastian and I instantly became friends and started dating during our sixth year up until we were eighteen. It ended badly and we haven’t spoken since.
The train came to a stop and the kids began to get up from their seats. I waited patiently for everyone else to get off the train then walked out slowly.
“Well blimey! I haven’t seen you in a while!” The loud voice took me by surprise. I turned to see Hagrid standing behind me. He was a Harry and Ginny’s wedding for a little bit, but had to leave early.

“Hagrid!” I ran and gave him a hug.
“What are you doing here? How’s Charlie?” He beamed at me.
“I’m here to talk to McGonagall and Charlie’s great!” I blushed a bit thinking about him.
“Well come on then let’s get you to the castle before the sorting happens.”
He led me to the chariots that were pulled by Thestrals. I couldn’t see them, but I knew they were there. They pulled me to the castle where I quickly found McGonagall.
“Ah! Ms. Jennings! It’s great to see you! What do I own this pleasure?” Her smile was warm just like the day I met her.
“I actually wanted to talk to you about maybe a possible teaching position?” I searched for an expression from her.
“Well, we do have an opening.” She gave me a wink. “As you know I am Headmaster and have been teaching the Transfiguration classes. Would you be interesting in taking my spot?”
“Yes!” I felt overjoyed and threw my arms around her.
“Well let’s get into the Great Hall and introduce you to the students.”
We walked to a side door that led to where the teachers sat. It was so strange to be sitting at the other end. I took a the empty seat at the end of the row and watched as the first years were sorted. After everything was finished McGonagall stood and welcomed everyone.
“I would like to introduce you to our new Transfigurations teacher, Isabella Jennings.” She gestured to me and I stood and blushed like crazy.
The feast continued and I enjoyed my time there. After the students were sent to their common rooms McGonagall pulled me to her office.
“Classes start tomorrow, are you excited?” She glanced at me through her small glasses.
“Very! But there is one problem?” She gave me a curious look. “I live with Charlie Weasley, how am I suppose to get here everyday?”
“Not to worry my dear! We have a system for teachers like yourself. Follow me!” She stood up and walked out of her office.
We walked down a corridor that I didn’t recognize. We stopped in front of a large framed door.
“Sorry about this.” She said as she yanked out a few strands of hair.
She said an incantation and placed my hair on the knob of the door. I watched as my hair melted into the doorknob and opened. Inside was an unlit chimney.
“All you have to do is place your hand upon it.” She told me.
I placed my hand on the top of the chimney and the flames immediately ignited.
“By putting your strands of on the knob the room has your DNA. The room only works for you and Neville Longbottom at the moment. I created it so he could stay home with his grandmother. She’s been getting sick a lot lately and he worries.”
“Neville’s a teacher here?” I asked with a smile.
“Herbology, he always had a knack for it!” She smiled at me with her genuine smile. “Welcome to Hogwarts, Professor Jennings.
I hurried home to tell Charlie the news, but it seemed someone already beat me to it. He was waiting with a cake and balloons that popped and said congratulations over and over. I jumped into his arms and hugged him with all my might.
“I’m so proud of you Professor!” He kiss my cheek, and I beamed up at him.
Tomorrow I started my first day as a Professor at Hogwarts!
