Thanks to for the amazing cover. ♥
Two months later.
It was a bright sunny day with white clouds and baby blue sky. The birds are chirping in a distance and the chitter-chatter of my family can be heard.
Its been two months since the operation of Mr. Singhania. He has been doing fine recently. Everything seems to be fine. I hope nothing goes wrong with the happiness of my family.
Okaaaayy..... maybe one day Roy will propose me for marriage and this will officially be my family? I don't know where our relationship will lead to, still he will be the only one for me; forever. I know now that I'll never get anyone like him. I couldn't give my heart to anyone all these past seven years because this one guy named Roy stole it long back.
"Sweetie, come I'll braid your pretty hair." Mrs. Singhania called Avery. Avery, with a choco chip cookie in her hand walked towards Mrs. Singhania. I can see they blend up well. Avery seems very happy to be with them.
You must be wondering what is happening. Well, we all gathered for lunch in Singhania Mansion- Roy's parental home. Parth and Annie are on their way here.
All were seated in the big living room in the huge beige coloured couch. Roy was talking to his father while Avery was braiding her hair from Mrs. Singhania and I was just sitting and chatting with them.
Avery was getting on with Roy's family pretty well. Everyone looked very happy.
"Ashna, when is your new clothing line coming up?" Asked Mr. Singhania.
I smiled. "Next year in the month of April."
"And how is your mother doing? We haven't catched up since the masquerade ball. We really need to catch up someday soon." She says.
"Why don't you and Mr. Singhania take a vacation to Italy? Mom and Pa will love to have you both with them. And Mr. Singhania is recovering now, you can definitely take a break." I smiled at them and gave my thought.
Roy nodded his head. "She is right. Dad and mom you both should go for the vacation."
"W-we will." Mr. Singhania nodded. He doesn't speak much because he can't strain his lungs. His words are not clear but he has shown immense improvement. Doctors have said he may get back his voice soon. That's a miracle!
"I'll also go to Grandma! I wanna go to Italy!" Avery said, excitedly. She has never gone to Italy before. I guess now it's safe for her to travel.
"Oh honey, we will go to Italy when your momma and polar bear go on their honeymoon. That wouldn't be long." Mrs. Singhania beamed and I blush at her words. Leave it on the parents to embarrass yourself in front of your own kids.

Roy eyes his mother and his father smirks. Do they know something that I don't know? God! They are giving creepy looks.
"Honeymoon? That's when married couple goes on vacation after their wedding." Avery starts mumbling and calculating something in her head. Suddenly, her eyes widen and a full-on excited grin covers her face and she beams. "Momma and polar bear are getting married?!" She claps her hands. Mrs. Singhania laughs at her excitement whereas I hide my face in embarrassment.
I look at Roy and he tries to hide his face with a cusion and I keep on blushing at their words.
"Say momma? Polar bear? You both getting married?! I'll get to wear pretty dresses! Wow!! Momma you'll design your lehenga? I want a lehenga too!" Oh, my over-excited daughter! But her excitement gave me a new hope and happiness.
Will I get married to Roy? Will he propose me to become his wife?
Am I expecting too much?
Just then, the door bell rang.
To hide my blush, I immediately got up and rushed towards the door. As I opened the door, Annie and Parth were standing outside. Annie had a small smile whereas Parth forced a smile on his face.
What's wrong with them? I frowned.
"CEO." Parth greets me and gives me a brotherly hug and walks away to greet the others.
"Hey." I greet Annie and pull her for a hug. "What's wrong? You look so pale." I ask her, worried.
She smiles. "Later." She whispers. I nod my head at her.
Both of us walk towards the couch. Everyone was sitting and chatting.
"And who is this pretty lady with us?" Mrs. Singhania asks Annie. They haven't been officially introduced.
"This is Ann..." I was cut off by Parth as I began saying.
"This is Annie." He comes around and pulls Annie closer by her waist. I take my seat in the couch. "My girlfriend."
"Hello Mr & Mrs. Singhania." Annie greets.
"Call me Maya and you too Ashna. Mrs. Singhania sounds too formal." We nod our heads and she smiles.
"How is Neel's father doing?" Roy asks Parth.
"He is improving but the doctors have changed some of his medicines. I visited him personally to check on him." Parth replies while typing in his phone.
"And what about Neel? Has he got in the University? And send him enough money to settle down first and..."
"Uh-oh, everything is taken care of. Neel is fine." Parth says, rolling his eyes. Maybe getting a little bit irritated as well.
"I'm p-proud of-of you, so-son." Says Mr. Singhania and pats his back.
Roy has made all of us so proud. The way he is helping proves that he is a really good person at heart and that's what matters the most.

My phone vibrates beside me. It was a message from Parth. I frown.
Talk to your friend. I don't know what's wrong with her. I'm getting worried.
I look up from my phone and loot at Parth. He was busy talking to Roy and his father. I look at Annie she was talking with Maya. She was pulling out the skin of her thumb- a nervous habit. I look at her carefully and notice that she has gained weight slightly from last time I saw her.
"Sir. Mam. Lunch will be served in 5 minutes. Staffs are preparing the table." Mona announced.
"Uh... Mona. Me and Annie will help you set the table."
"But mam the staffs..." Mona tries to stop me but Roy cuts her sentence.
"Mona darling, let her go. She loves to do all kitchen work. Right now her hands are itching probably, because she can't do any work." He says and the rest of them chuckle.
I roll my eyes at his exaggeration. "Go ahead." Maya allows.
I smile at them and walk with Ann.
"What's wrong with you?" I ask her directly as we were out of hearing distance.
"Ashu, I---I." She couldn't complete her sentence. I get more worried by looking at her panic stricken face.
"You're scaring me. Just spill it out." I say. Annie is the strong one. What could have happened?
"I'm pregnant."
"What are you sayi--- WHAT??!!!" To say that I was shocked would be an understatement. I was flabbergasted! The news makes me speechless.
"Say something. What should I do? Will Parth accept our baby or not? We are not married. Oh God! If he tells me to abort then what, Ashu?? I can't kill my baby!!" A tear leaks from her eyes.
I hug her tightly and the news slowly sunk in. My best friend is pregnant!! I'll become her baby's godmother, that is if she baptizes her child.
"Wait. You didn't tell Parth?" I ask her. She shakes her head no.
"What am I not told?" His voice sounds as I hug Annie.
Annie tenses under my hold. "Calm down. Just tell him." I whisper in her ears.
As I move aside, I hear Roy's voice from my left. He came in with an apple in his hand. "Ann why are you crying? Do I need to get my pistol to shoot my friend?" He frowns and Annis smiles a bit.
I rub Annie's back, calming her down. She stands up and walks towards Parth. "Why are you crying, baby?" He wipes her eyes. More tears ran down her cheeks.
Roy comes and holds me by my waist and nuzzles his nose on my hair. I smile. He is so soft and cozy and warm. I savor the warmth of his body.
"Parth, I'm so sorry. I know you'll probably hate me. But trust me, I don't know how did this happen. But please let me keep it. I can't kill h......"
"Annie!" I scold her. Oh God! Why is she scared?
Obviously, Society. Having a baby before getting married is a big deal in India. The woman is stated as a slut. Here people do not respect the choice of an individual. And it's not even the fault of the people of the country. Blame the illiteracy level of the country. This is a place where every moment a women is tortured but yet again a woman is worshiped as a goddess.
"What are you talking about?" Parth wipes her tears away and tries to calm her down.
"I know we are not married or engaged but I really want this baby to see the face of the world. Its totally understandable if you reject the baby because I know you want to make a name in the corporate world and a baby will make your name go bad..." Annie kept rambling, whereas Parth's mouth hung open, his eyes became moist.
"I'm going to become a father?" He mumbles to himself. Annie stops her rambling.
"I'm going to become a FATHER!!!!!" He laughs then. The joy and happiness in his eyes brought tears of happiness in my eyes.
Annie looked shocked. Parth picks her up and swirls her around. "Thank You! Thank you! Thank you! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!" Parth sings in excitement.
"Aren't you angry?"
"Why would I be angry?" He frowns a bit and then smiles. "This is the best thing that has ever happened to me after you." He dramatically exclaims.
Roy rolls his eyes and I laugh.
"We aren't married. I mean what will the people think?" Annie asks.
"From when did you start caring about what people say? Society is what we make it. Its our life, baby. We will decide when to get married and when to have a baby. STOP thinking about this fucked up society." Parth gives her a piece of his mind.
"Oh, I knew it!" Maya exclaims. "I knew it from her looks. Annie is going to have a baby. I'll become a granny. You have our blessings. I'm so happy for you both." Maya kisses Annie's forehead and hugs Parth.
Annie smiles at me with tears in her eyes and I smile back at her. Finally!
As I see everyone so happy, I drift to my dream world. I picture myself and Roy holding our baby in my arm and Avery beside Roy, playing with her sisters or brothers.
I smile at the thought.
