"did you eat the last of the oreos?" i yell to johnny, who's currently watching a football game on tv.

"yeah." he says.

"thanks for telling me." i say when i walk into the living room.

"i forgot." he says.

"well, now we both get no oreos. and it's all your fault." i tell him.

"oh! guess what! i have a surprise!" johnny says, standing up.

"what?" i ask, following him.

"this!" he says, handing me two tickets to disneyland.

"really?" i squeal.

"yep." he says.

"when are we going?" i ask.

"tomorrow." he says.

"oh, and lauren, brynn, and maddie are coming." he tells me.

"seriously?" i say.

"yes." he says.

"why? it's not my birthday, your birthday, or anyone else that i know's birthday." i say.

"i felt like it would be a break from working." he says.

"oh, okay." i say.

by now, we both have jobs. i work as an interior designer, and johnny gives music lessons to kids. we both make an adequate amount of money.

"i'm going to go pack." i say.

i walk to the bedroom that i store all my clothes and makeup in and grab a suitcase. basically, i pack like anyone would when they go on a trip.

"i haven't been in california since i was 16." i say to johnny as we walk out of the airport.

"that was a whole 5 years ago." johnny says.

"we're so old now." i say.

"i know. remember when we ran around outside because of insomnia?" he asks.

"johnny, that still happens." i say.

"oh yeah." he says.

"you're so dumb!" i laugh.

"no i'm not!" he yells, picking me up.

"stop! put me down!" i yell at him.

"i'm too dumb to understand what that means." he says.

he grabs my suitcase and starts walking.

"i got us an uber to laurens house." i say.

oh, by the way, lauren now lives in anaheim.

"okay." he says.

"are you gonna put me down?" i ask.

"when the uber gets here." he answers.

"fine." i say.

"brynny!" i yell when brynn comes into view.

johnny, lauren, maddie and i are waiting at the gates of disneyland. brynn was the last to arrive, as her flight had gotten delayed.

"kenzie!" she yells when she sees me.

we haven't seen each other since the end of tour, at the very last show.

"i missed you! it's been so long!" i say when she gets close.

"5 years!" she says.

"enough chatting! let's go on some rides!" lauren yells.

"which one first?" i ask.

"let's go on tower of terror!" maddie suggests.

"yeah!" everyone agrees.

"you have to sit by me. i was always to scared to go on it when i was younger." i say to johnny.

"it's not even that scary!" he says.

"please?" i beg.

"fine. only because you're so fucking cute when you beg me for things." he sighs.

"okay!" i say.

i grab his hand and pull him behind me as i run to catch up with maddie, lauren, and brynn.

"oh, there you guys are. we thought we left you behind." lauren says.

"they'd probably be making out if we did leave them behind." maddie scoffs.

"no we woul- that's probably true." johnny admits.

"yes, it is." i say.

"just give us a second." johnny says to lauren and the others.

"wha-" i start, but is cut off by johnny kissing me.

i kiss him back and her pulls me closer to him.

"ewww!" comes a scream from someone.

i pull away and see that a little girl screamed it.

"that's probably too much for a public setting." i laugh.

"i love you so much." johnny says.

"did you hear anything i just said?" i ask.

"yes." he replies.

"fine, i guess i love you too." i say.

"let's go find the girls." he says.

he grabs my hand and laces his fingers through mine.

we walk to over to the ride we agreed on and see maddie, lauren and brynn waiting in line.

"how was the makeout session?" brynn asks, smirking.

"shut up." i say, blushing.

we stand in line. there are a big group of teenage boys behind us, being loud and obnoxious. i'm at the very back of our line. it goes maddie, brynn, lauren, johnny, then me.

suddenly, i feel someone smack my butt.

"hey!" i scream, turning around.

"what?" johnny asks, also turning around.

"one of these kids just smacked my ass." i tell him.

the boys were all laughing.

"don't touch my girl again, whichever one of you assholes did it." johnny growls.

"jesus, calm your boyfriend, lady." one of the guys says.

"guys, we're getting on now." lauren says.

"don't do that again." i say to the teenagers as we get on.

"i'm sorry about them." johnny says, kissing my cheek.

"it's fine. nothing could've been done to prevent it." i tell him.

"i love you." he tells me.

"i love you too." i say.

just then, employees come around, making sure that our seatbelts are on so that we don't fall out.

"hold my hand." i say before the ride begins.

once again, he laces his fingers through mine.

"ahhh!" we scream as the ride starts.

i squeeze my eyes shut, and i feel johnny put one of his arms around my torso and pulling me closer to him.

"that was scary as hell!" i say when we're let off.

"it wasn't that bad." brynn says.

"excuse me, you were holding onto me because you were so scared." maddie says to brynn.

"and you grabbed onto me!" i say to johnny.

"because i thought you would be scared?" he says, ending in a question.

"haha. the brave big boy was scared!" lauren says.

"wait! don't they give you pictures from this ride?" maddie asks.

"i think so. i'll go look." i say.

i walk over to the booth and ask the lady working there if they have any pictures from our ride.

"yes, they just printed." she says, handing them to me in an envelope.

"thank you!" i say.

"there's a little surprise in there, by the way." she says, winking.

i look at her with a confused face but turn back to my friends.

as i walk, i open the envelope that they're in and look at them. i gasp when i see the first picture.

"will you marry me?" says a sign that maddie, brynn, lauren, and johnny are holding. the 'me' part points to johnny. i notice that i'm only a few steps away from them, so i look up and run to them.

"this- what- where is he?" i ask, because johnny was nowhere to be seen.

"turn around." lauren says.

i do so, and see johnny standing behind me.

"is this- you actually-" i say, unable to get any real sentences out.

he pulls a box out of his pocket and opens it, revealing a ring, and gets down on one knee and starts to speak.

"kenzie, i've loved you ever since that day we met in toronto at your meet and greet. and since we started dating, back when we were 16, i knew that i wanted to spend my life with you. so, mackenzie frances ziegler, will you make me the luckiest guy in the world and be my wife?" he asks.

i feel my eyes become wet with tears and nod.

"yes. of course johnny." i say, sobbing.

tears of joy, of course!

he gets up and pulls me into a hug.

"she said yes!" he screams.

i hear lots of people clap and cheer. i look around and see lots of people watching us.

"i love you so much." i say, still crying.

"i love you so much more." he replies.

"aw! you guys are so cute!" lauren says when we go back over to them.

"i got it all on video." maddie says.

"that was so cute." brynn says.

"yes we get it. we're cute. now let's go on more rides!" johnny says.

"are you ready to be a wife?" brynn asks me as she finishes my makeup.

"yes." i whisper as i think about how my life is going to change.

my name won't even be the same anymore. but i get to wake up each day, knowing that the man i love is next to me. or maybe not. insomnia is a bitch.

"ladies, 15 minutes. kenzie, do you want anyone special in here before you go up?" meredith asks.

meredith and i have become very close now that i live in toronto with johnny. the wedding is in pittsburgh, though.

"can you get maddie in here?" i ask her.

"of course sweetie." she says, running off to find maddie.

maddie and jack now have a baby girl named elliana. she's only a few months old.

"hi kenz." maddie said softly as she walks in the door.

"hi." i say.

"are you nervous?" she asks me.

"yeah. what if i mess up when i say the vows? what if i trip when i'm walking down the aisle? there are so many things that can go wrong maddie!" i tell her.

"don't think about that. think about how'll happy you'll be, and how fun it'll be to be married to your best friend!" she says.

"i know, i know. i am very excited to spend the rest of my life with him." i say.

"i know you guys will be fine together." she says.

"thanks mads." i say, hugging her.

"kenz, it's time." meredith says, popping her head into the room.

i stand up, taking a deep breath as i do so, and follow meredith to the main hall. i see my dad standing there, along with all my bridesmaids and johnnys groomsmen.

"hi sweetie." my dad says.

"hi dad." i say.

"you look gorgeous." he tells me.

"thank you." i reply.

than the bridesmaids and my maid of honor come over. the bridesmaids are lauren, brynn, my friend maisy stella, and ruby turner. my maid of honor is maddie. johnny's groomsmen are his childhood friends, and the best man is his best friend carson.

"you look gorgeous kenz." lauren says.

"you'll do amazing." ruby says.

"i'm so happy for you." maisy says.

"i can't believe you're getting married." brynn says.

"i can't believe it either. it feels like just yesterday we were talking on snapchat for the first time." i say.

"ladies, it's time." meredith says to the bridesmaids.

the bridesmaids and groomsmen walk down the aisle together, then the flower girl and ring bearer come down. the flower girl is ruby's little girl, named rose. the groomsmen is johnnys cousin.

next, i walk down the aisle with my dad. i see johnny at the end of the aisle, and i smile at him.

when we get to the end, my dad hugs me and kisses my forehead.

"i love you, mackenzie." he says, almost crying.

"i love you too dad." i tell him.

and then i turn to johnny.

the ceremony passes by in a blur, and all i really remember is everyone clapping when johnny and i share our first kiss as husband and wife.

now it's time for the reception.

everyone files into a big room in a hotel conference center, where there are tables set up for people to eat at. there's also a dance floor and a dj.

"kenzie!" a voice yells.

i look around and see my mom waving me over. she's standing with my dad, maddie, jack, meredith, dale, and johnnys older sisters, darian and maddie.

as i walk over, i'm constantly stopped by people congratulating me on my marriage. i thank them, and finally make my way to my family. i keep wondering where johnny is, but then i see him with his groomsmen.

"hi, honey." meredith says once i get to them.

"hi, mer." i reply.

"how are you feeling?" darian asks.

"great." i say.

"the ceremony was so cute." maddie (ziegler) says.

"i honestly don't remember any of it." i admit.

"i can't remember any of ours either." jack says.

"well, you should go find johnny. i'm surprised he's not surrounding you right now." maddie (orlando) tells me.

"okay, thank you all for coming." i say as i walk off.

i spot johnny over by the dj booth, talking to his groomsmen still.

"here comes your girl." one of them says.

johnny looks over my way and instantly smiles and walks over to me.

"hi kenz." he says, embracing me.

"hello husband." i say, emphasising husband.

"this has been the best day of my life." he says.

"mine too." i say.

"let's go walk around. people probably want to talk to us." he suggests.

"i've already been stopped by at least 20 people." i tell him.

"me too." he says.

we walk into the midst of a crowd and we instantly have people congratulating us.

"it's time for the new couple to have their first dance." lauren announces into a microphone.

a bunch of people cheer, and johnny takes my hand and leads me onto the dance floor.

the song "1000 years" by christina perri comes on.

we begin to dance, with me wrapping my hands around his neck and him placing his hands on my waist. he gazes into my eyes and i smile.

"i love you." he whispers.

"i love you too." i whisper back.

we dance until the song is over, and then an upbeat song comes on and lots of people come on the floor and dance.

once the last guest has left the reception room and johnny and i are sure we haven't left anything behind, we go up to the hotel room we rented.

and we all know what happens on the wedding night.

"what should we name her?" i ask.

"you don't know if it's gonna be a girl or a boy, kenz." johnny tells me.

"but i want it to be a girl." i whine.

"whatever it is, you'll still love it, right?" johnny asks

"of course!" i say.

"good." he tells me.

"i need to go get ready. i'll be right back." i tell him as i walk into my closet.

today is the day of our gender reveal. only lauren and maddie know the gender, and they planned a gender reveal party for us.

you might be wondering what's happened in the last year. well, after johnny and i got married, we bought a house in mount lebanon, a suburb of pittsburgh. it's a small two bedroom two and a half bathroom house with two floors, but it's perfect for us and the upcoming baby.

lauren moved to new york city because she met a man named caleb tomson. they're engaged, and their wedding is in about 3 months.

maddie is still in pittsburgh with jack, and along with elliana, they have another baby boy named ashton.

"thank you everyone for coming today, i know it's not the best of weather, but it's for a great cause! today we find out the gender of johnny and mackenzie's first child!" maddie announces.

it's currently raining, with a chance of thunderstorms all day. we decided to do the gender reveal, but get it over with quickly.

"what's going to happen is the couple will be blindfolded and hit this piñata, and either blue or pink confetti will come out. let's get started!" lauren yells.

there is a considerably large crowd gathered. mostly our close family and friends, like our parents, grandparents, and siblings.

"mackenzie, you go first." maddie says, coming up to me with a blindfold.

she puts it on and spins me around a few times. then she guides me over to the piñata and hands me a plastic baseball bat. i feel around for a second and give a strong swing when i feel the cardboard.

"not hard enough, kenz." johnny yells.

i try again, and feel a small dent made.

"i think it's johnnys turn." i say, taking the blindfold off and laughing.

he takes the blindfold from me and puts it on. i hand him the bat and spin him. he finds the piñata and whacks it. a chunk of cardboard falls off, but not enough to have the confetti come out. he gives another big whack and the piñata cracks open. blue confetti flies out, making the crowd cheer. johnny whips off the blindfold and looks at the confetti, then at me and runs over to me. he lifts me up and spins me around. i start sobbing, tears of joy, of course.

"we're having a baby boy!" johnny exclaims quietly to me.

"i know!" i say, still crying.

"i love you." he whispers.

"i love you too johnny." i say.

"guys! come talk to people!" lauren says to us.

"alright." johnny says, taking my hand and lacing his fingers through mine.

"ahh!" i scream.

"cmon mackenzie, just keep pushing. we're almost there." the doctor tells me.

you probably guessed that i'm giving birth to my first child. let me tell you, that shit hurts.

"you can do this kenz." johnny says as he wipes the sweaty hair off of my forehead.

"just a little more, mackenzie!" the doctor tells me.

i give one last push and suddenly a high pitched cry fills the room.

"and here he is, all 10 fingers and all 10 toes." a nurse says as she lifts our baby up and shows him to johnny and i.

"i'll give him to you, then we'll give you guys some alone time." the nurse says as she gently washes some of the blood off of our baby.

she hands him to us and walks out of the hospital room, closing the door as she leaves.

"look at us. we have a family now." johnny says, crying.

he's crying real tears. i've only seen him cry once, on our wedding day.

"he's so cute." i say as i admire the baby.

"we still need a name." johnny tells me.

"how about cole." i suggest.

"cole sounds great." johnny says, smiling.

"i love you." i say.

"i love you too." johnny replies, kissing me.
