Taehyung was bored. The meeting to discuss the marketing detail of his new album was taking too long. And he doesn't know why he had to be here anyway.

It's not like he knows anything about marketing stuff. He knows only about the music. Taehyung is more than happy to let Namjoon take whatever the decisions needed.

But Namjoon thinks that it's good for Taehyung to be atleast aware of the marketing methods that the company uses. Because it's basically his reputation. Hence Taehyung has to sit in the important marketing meetings.

Everyone was very much engaged in a conversation when Namjoon's phone started ringing. It was Jin calling. Normally Namjoon would answered but since it's in the middle of a meeting, he didn't.

The phone rang for few more times before it stopped. Namjoon was waiting for a message as it's what Jin normally does if he couldn't contact Namjoon.

Suddenly someone knocked on the door and Namjoon's secretary ran in even without getting permission. She ran straight to Namjoon and whispered something urgently to his ear.

"POLICE!!!" Namjoon exclaimed loudly and ran out of the room, leaving everyone else dumbfounded.

"What's going on?" Taehyung immediately ran to the secretary and asked.

She inched near to him and whispered again.

"The police called. Mr Jin is in the hospital."

Taehyung didn't waste another second as he also ran out of the room. He assumed that Namjoon will be heading to his car so he ran to the parking exit.

Just as he reached the exit, he saw Namjoon's car. Taehyung ran to the middle of the road, stopping the car and got in.

"Where is he? Do you know what happened?" Taehyung asked as he put his seat belt with a shaking hand.

"He's in the hospital. Police are there too. I don't know much details but it seems like someone tried to ran him off the road. Luckily another car came so the culprit escaped." Namjoon said through gritted teeth.

Both of them didn't talk at all till they reach the hospital. When the went in to the room that Jin was in they saw that Jin had a plaster on his forehead and a bandaged arm. Also his white shirt was smeared with blood.

"Jinnie!!" Namjoon ran and hugged his boyfriend while Taehyung went around the bed to hug his brother from behind.

Jin immediately started to sob in to Namjoon shirt and Namjoon just rubbed his back in a soothing manner.

"Excuse me, I'm sorry to bother you, but can we speak with you?" One of the police officers in the room gestured Namjoon to come outside.

"Ofcourse officer." Namjoon pulled himself out of Jin's embrace and pushed Jin towards Taehyung who wrapped his arms around his brother protectively.

Once they were out side, Namjoon asked what happened.

"Well Mr Namjoon, it seems like someone tried to push Mr Jin's car out of the road. We are still not sure whether they intended to harm Mr Jin or were they simply tried to scare him. We are looking through the CCTV footage of the nearby cameras and once we get a hit on the licence plate, we should be able to know who it was." One of the officers explained.

"Mr Jin confirmed that he was followed ever since he left home. So it's not a random pick. They followed him closely and hasn't made any attempt to be discreet so we think they wanted Mr Jin to know that he was being followed. When the other car started to take notice only they pushed Mr Jin's car out of the road and escaped." Another police officer said looking at his notes.

"Is there anyone who would want to harm Mr Jin?" First police officer asked.

"No. Not that I can think of. I don't think he has any enemies." Namjoon replied scratching the back of his head.

The two police officers exchanged a knowing look.

"And there's something else we need to consider too." First police officer looked bit worried.

"What is it?" Namjoon asked looking at both of them.

"The car Mr Jin was driving was his brother, Mr Kim Taehyung's. Since Mr Jin never got out of the car, it's a possibility that the target was not him but his brother. Well you know all the troubles that comes along with being an idol so we think it's a possibility too." First police officer replied.

"But we are not sure as the other car was driving very close to Mr Jin's car so they would have definitely seen who's inside the car at some point. But it didn't stop them. It could be either of them. We'll keep you updated with the investigations and for the time being, some protection would be good for Mr Jin. I assume Mr Taehyung anyway have his bodyguards." Seconds police officer asked for which Namjoon nodded his head.

"Thank you so much officers. Please contact me if you have any update." Namjoon shock both their hands before getting back inside the room.

Jin was laying down on the bed and Taehyung was gently stroking his hair.

"Jinnie?" Namjoon gently touched his boyfriend's cheek. "Tell us what happened?"

Jin explained the entire situation same way the police did. His car was giving bit trouble so he has taken Taehyung's car to meet a friend. Jin noticed the other car as soon as he pulled in to the main road but didn't think much until they started driving really close to his car.

The other car had tinted windows so he hasn't seen who's inside. He hit his head on the window when the car was pushed out of the road and his hand got smacked with the steering wheel. Not serious injuries at all and he could be discharged tomorrow.

A nurse came in with the a saline bottle with some medicine and Jin fell asleep in no time. Namjoon explained to Taehyung what the police said to him and they both agreed that there was a higher chance of the target being Taehyung.

With his rising popularity, Taehyung has received his fair share of threats. Sometimes from the fans of his rival artists and sometimes from his own fans who are extreme and delusional enough to mistake their obsession for love.

Taehyung decided not to tell Jungkook about this as he was sure the younger will flip. It was not him who got hurt and the chances of similar incident happening was very low as Namjoon already made arrangements to increase the number of Taehyung's bodyguards.

Some were posted at the house and and some at office and the idol is not supposed to leave anywhere without informing Namjoon.

Just in case, Jin will have a driver and bodyguards whenever he leaves the house too.
