By hearing her refusal for his words, anger thrummed through his veins and made his veins to throb. Although he repeated himself that he should control his anger, he felt difficult to control the anger that arose in him when he thought about her refusal for his words. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a moment to control his anger.

While hearing raghavan warning tone, harshika looked up raghavan with frightened expression and waited for him to complete his statement. However, when raghavan paused his sentences in mid-way, she questioned him in a low tone,
“But ??..”
A smile formed on raghavan lips by seeing harshika frightened look who is till then give him hard time regardless of his calm and soft behaviour towards her. Her frightened look proved him one thing clearly, that he could make her subservient to him by intimidation rather than talking to her calmly.

Raghavan pulled her towards him by placing his hand around her waist with a mischievous smile. Harshika who didn't expect this action of raghavan, stood like a statue for a second. However, soon she relieved from shock and tried to push him away by placing her hand on his hard chest.
Regardless of her attempt to got out of his grip, he tightened his grip to the point that she couldn't take off her hand from his chest and pecked her lips and warned her in a cold tone,
“ Don't worry, baby. I don't do anything more cruelly. Just, I will make a phone call to stop your loving mama's treatment if you don't agree to wear this saree. That's it. And also I will make your cousin meera to get dismissal letter from her college. Who else is left in your family ?. Aha.. I remember it now.. Aarva right ??”.
While hearing raghavan words, a pain lashed across her waist and hand due to his tight grip. She just wished to scream out to him to stop all this nonsense. She just wished to tell him that he is hurting her, both mentally and physically. She just wished to vanish from his life.
Every time he was kind to her, a little desire grows in her heart that he had changed and accepted her as his wife, and made her heart to drench in happiness slowly. Before she could even experience that little bit of happiness in her heart, he would suddenly change himself and return to his old self and humiliate and threaten her. Each time he did this, she felt as he had plucked out the desire which she had nurtured in her heart as the result of his affectionate behaviour towards her, from her heart mercilessly.
She squeezed her eyes shut when he mentioned aarav, and whispered in the way to admit her defeat with the thought that she should not let him do anything to her mama and cousins,

“Please don't do anything to them. I will wear the saree. I will do everything as you say. I will never refuse your words anymore.”
Raghavan who was satisfied after hearing her consent, loosened her grip on her waist and asked her as he rubbed her waist slowly where he held tightly,
“Really, baby ??.. Will you do whatever I say ??.”
Harshika nodded as yes like a fallen leaf swaying in the wind. She was deeply hurt by the fact that she was in a situation to compel with him according to his needs. She hates her inability. She hates her weakness, which he is using to make her to bend according to his will.
Seeing harshika sad face, raghavan wished to say her that how much he loves her and how his heart paining by viewing her sad face. However, knowing that he was the reason for her sadness, he stood silently looking at her dull face. Anyway, at one point, unable to see her withered face, he told her in soft tone,
“Dull face doesn't suit you, baby. You look beautiful when you smile. So, smile baby.”
Harshika heart filled with resentment and hate when she heard his words because she felt as he was mocking her. She struggled to control the rage that arose in her heart when she thought that he had done everything to make her life miserable, and now he was asking her to smile without any conscience.
Even though she was angry at him, she brought a fake smile on her face, realizing that she was not in a position to express her anger or deny his words. After smiling like he said, she took the shopping bag from sofa and moved towards room which attached with his room.
Raghavan felt jabbing pain in his heart by seeing her forced smile. Before she could enter into the room, he took long stride and went near her and hugged her from behind and confessed,
“Sorry harshika. I shouldn't have threatened you using your family. You don't have to wear this saree and jewels if you don't like to wear. When you said you would not wear the saree and jewellery which I had bought for you, I don't know how to make you wear it, that's why I threatened you using your family. I really don't mean those words, harshika. I would never think to hurt you, baby. Believe me."
She remained silent without saying a word, thinking that he was executing his next plan to deceive her heart again.
A wave of pain of shot through his heart due to her silence and ignorance for his apology. Raghavan made her to turn and face him to make her understand his feelings and to bring back her smile which she lost because of him. He placed his hands on her cheeks and request her in pleading tone,
“Look at me, harshika”
At the instant he said those words, she looked at him in lightening speed with a fake smile. Even though she looked at him as he said, the way she behaved hurt him more: Because, she was acting like this as she remembered his warning that he would take revenge on her family if she refused his words. Her behaviour proved to him that she didn't believe anything he said.
