It's been 11 years since I been back home and things are almost normal.

I can't really even say normal cause things will never be the same, especially now that my auntie gone.

"It's gonna get better baby" my dad said consoling my mother as she sobbed over Carter's grave.

"She was my baby sister Eli, she was just starting her life" my mom cried out

My mind drifted back to the day she died.

My dad helped my mom up and he walked her to the car leaving me and rosey standing at the grave.

"It's okay to cry you know" she said leaning on me.

"Naw, it's not, and it won't bring her back" I said and she rubbed my back

I got up and kneeled down laying the flowers I got her down on her grave.

"I love you auntie and ima always be your strong boy" I said then kissed the headstone.

"Let's go" I called out to rosey who said her goodbyes and we got in my car heading home.
