Everything has changed and yet
I am more me than I've ever been
***
Daisy felt as if an invisible barrier had been shattered.
She and Jay now held no secrets. They knew each other and the dark pasts, hidden lies and twisted parts that were present within the other.
It was a relief. Daisy felt her love for her mate grow, if the thought was even possible.
Something had also shattered within Daisy's and Grace relationship. No longer were they fast friends. Daisy felt a tension within their conversation- one that Jay had picked up and noted on.
"She is protective of me," Jay said shrugging when Daisy voiced her concern.
"I think it's more than protectiveness," Daisy grumbled.
Jay smiled down at his mate, "Are you jealous my little moon?"
Daisy gave a mock glare at him and laughed. Jay grabbed her waist, all playful now in his actions, "Is my little moon jealous?" He joked, burying his head within her neck and placing a soft kiss upon her mark.
Daisy squealed with laugher at his lighter side he was showing and struggled to break free. Jay laughed at her actions and pressed her closer to him.
"Stop!" she laughed as he began to tickle her. She gasped for breath as his fingers danced across her stomach.
They continued laughing, Jay stealing small kisses from her as their smiles grew.
Jackie watched the interaction from the window, the smile her Alpha showing providing a grin of her own.
A ring from the phone broke her gaze.
"Hello?" Jackie said, still watching her Alpha and smiling at the scene.
"Jackie?! Jackie get Daisy at the clinic now! Grace is going into Labor! Grace is going into Labor!" Jackie clung onto the phone and raced outside.
Jay and Daisy stopped in their actions to watch the frantic woman.
"Daisy! Grace is going into labor!" Jackie yelled from the doorway.

Daisy's eyes flashed as she raced towards the front of the house, Jay closely behind her.
"My equipment is at the clinic, Just drive!" She yelled at Jay.
Jay raced out of the drive way, getting curious stares from other pack members as he drove down the dirt road.
"It's too early," Daisy whispered over and over again.
They pulled up in front of the clinic. Daisy got out while the truck was still slowing to a stop and raced towards the doors.
Jay parked and ran out.
He followed Daisy's scent and found Grace, John, Stephen and Doctor Schulman, already present with Grace on the table.
"Daisy," Doctor Schulman let out a sigh of relief.
Daisy started dressing with gloves, cap and gown assessing the situation.
"Give me an update doc." She said.
"Contractions are regular, we're still in stage one but she's-," he was interrupted by the low growl that came from John.
"What is he doing here!?"
John glared at Jay who looked back at John with small surprise in his eyes.
"I came with Daisy," he said.
"Get out!" he yelled.
"John please don't," Grace weakly held up her hand and tried to stop her mate, but another contraction hit her in that moment, taking her breath away as she clenched her teeth.
Jay looked at Daisy who nodded to him. Slowly, with his hands raised, Jay back out of the room. But not fast enough.
"Get out!" John sprung at Jay, his fangs extending as he tried to get the male away from his vulnerable female.
"John!" Grace cried out in panic but was stopped by Daisy's firm grip.
Stephen raced forward and grabbed John while Jay back out and closed the door.
John still struggled against Stephen, banging against the door.
"I can still smell him! I can still smell him! I want him out! OUT! Get away from her! You can't have her!"

Jay stood in the shadows of the hallway as he watched his former beta go crazy with the scent of him.
"John! Grace needs you! Pay attention to Grace! You have to be there for her!" Stephen's shout rang out over John's angry cries.
"She doesn't want me! She wants him! She's always wanted him!"
Jay shook his head at the words of nonsense that were being spewed out through John. He stopped though when he heard the soft crying of Grace in the background. His features hardened. He had enough.
Jay walked forward and revealed himself to John, who became crazy again at the sight of him.
He opened the door to find a distressed Grace, as Doctor Schulman and Daisy tried to comfort her.
"Jay get out of here!" Daisy yelled. She caste a worried glance at Grace, fear in her eyes at the trauma she was going through right before her birthing.
"John!" Jay yelled, raising his voice and letting all his power show into it.
John stopped his frantic movements and stood still, his features trembling as he tried to resist his Alpha's command.
"John you are abandoning your mate for your own petty feelings. Grace loves you and only you and you would see that if you turned to her now."
John started to laugh.
"You think she's crying because of me?" John spat out, "she's crying because I've revealed her secret to you."
Jay shook his head. John was overcome with so much anxiety and nervous energy.
"Grace and I are friends John. You know that."
John shook his head, his eyes wide, "you really are clueless."
Jay felt small irritation at how stupid this male was.
"Go be with your mate," he said, his voice ice cold and commanding, "I don't care how you feel or how she feels. Go be with her while she give birth to your pups."
Jay shook with rage at the drama that was going down while Grace was just hours away from giving birth. Her body did not need to handle this and John's petty feelings.
John hung his head, unable to resist his Alpha's command.
"Grace," he thickly said, grabbing her hand.
"I know John, I know," was all she said, before another contraction hit her.
John grabbed her hand tightly and whispered words to her, "You're doing good Gracie. I'm sorry I said that. I'm sorry I told him. I'm here now. I forgive you. I'm sorry. You can do this."
Jay nodded and exited the room with Stephen. He gave one last smile to Daisy who returned it, slightly strained as she eyed Grace.
He and Stephen sat outside for hours later as they waited.
Grace had not been put in a sound proof room.
Stephen covered his ears at one point, unable to bear the screams of his sister.
"She won't die, she won't die, she won't die," he whispered the words over and over again out loud, trying to let them cover up the sounds from the other room.
Jay at some points would pat his back, giving his Beta small reassurance.
They waited and waited.
He heard Daisy's voice at some points, yelling to Grace, or Doctor Schulman or even John.
None of what she yelled was good.
Stephen started to pace the hallways back and forth.
The moon soon replaced the sun as they continued their waiting.
Finally the hoarse screaming and cries of Grace stopped.
The only sound they could hear were a few whimpers and John's whispered words.
Then a babies cry.
Will Grace and the babies make it?
Will John stay with her?
Will I ever go to bed before midnight?
Find out next timeeeeee
Loves,
