He waited in a lounge area in a police station, while his wrists were still handcuffed. Frankly, Bill expected far worse treatment, at least he wasn't behind bars. At least, not yet.
He grew tense, once Officer Blubs and Deputy Durland approached him.
"Looks like your brother is running late," Blubs taunted. "Which means, there's no one to take your side."
Bill narrowed his eyes. "No need to rub it in, old man."
"I'm not trying to be rude," He insisted. "Just remember, you got yourself in this mess, city boy."
Like any other day of his life, of course Bill was taking the blame for this one too. But, it was only reasonable, right? He was the troublemaker, the bad twin. That was what he was told by his parents, what Dipper and Mabel believed, and what he has always been. The chubby cop was right, no one will be willing to side with him now.
Officer Blubs looked at him smugly. "From now on, listen to the professionals--"
"Guys!" Another cop said, coming out from the back. "Steve is going fit an entire cantaloupe in his mouth! I repeat, an entire cantaloupe."
"It's a 23-16!" Durland announced.
"Let's move!" Blubs ordered, before shooting Bill a stern look. "And you, stay right here."
The two cops quickly left with eager looks, while Bill rolled his eyes at them. He was about to rest his head against the back of his seat, when a shadow was casted over him.
"Hey, dude."
"Wendy?" He gasped, starring at the redhead standing in front of him. "What are you--?"
"No time to explain," She told him. "Now, hold out your hands."
Bill was confused, but obliged. He immediately regretted it, when Wendy raised her axe and swung it down. He shut his eyes in fear, and heard a loud clank! He slowly opened them, and saw that the chain connecting the shackles around his wrists were cut in half, so he could move his hands freely.
Bill looked at his hands with a smile. "Thanks, Red."
"Don't celebrate yet," Wendy warned, a dire look in her green eyes. "Will is in trouble."
In an instant, Bill was on his feet. He looked at her frantically. "What do mean, he's in trouble? What happened now?"
From Wendy's expression, Bill must have looked like a wild man by now. "I could spend what little time we have left by explaining to you. Or, we can go now."
Bill nodded in understand, and followed the redhead to the exit. Behind him, he could hear a yell of protest from one of the cops, but he ignored it, and followed Wendy out.

Dipper was the one to strike first.
He charged forward at Kill Cipher (formerly known as K.C). Will watched closely, as Dipper unsheathed his sword and swung it at the red haired man's neck. However, at the last second, his weapon was deflected by crossed twin knives that Kill seemed to have pulled out of thin air. Kill landed a kick into Dipper's lower stomach, which shoved the brunette backwards.
"Trying to cut off my head already?" Kill jeered, grinning at Dipper. "C'mon, whatever happened to casual conversation?"
"The time for talking is over," Dipper shot back, raising his blade once more.
Kill twirled his knives in his hands. "Very well."
The two advanced on each other, their weapons sending sparks in the air. Meanwhile, Will was panicking silently, and tried to stay clear of the conflict. Unfortunately, the wax figures didn't seemed finished with him. They tried to grab him, regarding him with white eyes. Will felt his heart leap, when one of them grabbed the back of his sweater. He was saved, once Mabel ran up and kicked the living sculpture aside, and stood in front of him protectively.

"You okay?" Mabel asked him. "Oh, who am I kidding? You're being attacked by living wax! Of course, you're not okay!"
"Mabel, watch out!" Will yelled, pointing behind her.
A wax figure was about to strike her with an axe, but Mabel turned around just in time. She extended her palm forward, and a stream of colourful bubbles emitted out and covered the sculpture head to toe. It yelled in distress, and toppled backwards.
Will stared. "What was that?"
"Bubbles of Pure Madness," Mabel smiled. "By the way, do not let that stuff get on you, you will regret it."
He didn't ask her why, because he knew he'll fear the answer.
As the bubbles cleared the air, it was revealed that some newcomers came to join the battle. These ones, were the wax copies of Wendy, Dipper, and Mabel.
"Oh, come on!" Will yelled. Couldn't one thing go their way?
Mabel's wax doppelganger instantly charged at her. The brunette did her best to dodge the punches sent her way, and she grabbed the sculpture's wrists furiously.
"You can't defeat me, I'm the original!" Mabel roared, before she snapped the arms off her copy's body.
Will would've applauded her, if he didn't find the scene so brutal. He then gasped out loud, when both Wax Wendy and Wax Dipper grabbed him by the arms. He called for Mabel, and she quickly reacted. After shoving her armless copy to the ground, she ran at the sculptures keeping him hostage. She leaped forward, and landed a swift kick in each of their heads. As result, they released Will and stumbled backwards. After they recovered, they were about to charge at Mabel, but then she grew fireballs from her hands and threw them. They hit their exact targets, and Will watched as the sculptures immediately melted into a gooey substance. He turned to thank Mabel, but instead saw the drained expression on her face.
Will regarded her in concern. "Are you--"
"I'm fine," She reassured, forcing a smile. "It's been long since I did a powerful spell like that."
Their exchange was interrupted, when a yell was heard from Dipper. They turned, and saw the Guardian clutching a deep cut in his arm. Nearby, Kill was chuckling coldly, one of his blades was stained with some strange galaxy-like liquid.
"You're getting rusty, Blue Pine," He hissed. "You would've sliced off one of my fingers by now." Kill stalked forward.
"Shut up," Dipper growled, softly. "Axolotl should've burned you alive, along with the rest of your monstrous kin!"
The redheaded man paused a few inches away from the Guardian, smiling. "I know you don't believe that. You missed me too much."
Dipper stiffened nervously. "I-I don't."
Kill's smile widened, then he snaked an arm around Dipper's waist. The brunette looked surprised, when the other pulled him closer, so the men's torsos brushed together.
"Don't lie to me," Kill purred, in the other's ear. "I missed you."
Dipper stared at him, and opened his mouth slowly. Except, he didn't have the chance to speak, because Mabel had already body slammed Kill.
"Back away, tempter!" She yelled, then turned to Dipper. "Bro-bro, can you not flirt with the enemy?"
"We weren't flirting!" Dipper squeaked, blushing.
Kill was thrown across the floor, and when he got up, he looked mad. "You twins have always been a nuisance!"
"Says the one who helped in the destruction of our world!" Mabel shot back.
"You killed my brother!" He shouted, his red eyes pulsed. "And I'll stop at nothing to bring him back. And once I do, this world will be ours!"

Then, Kill threw one of his blades, and it rocketed towards Mabel. Before the Guardian could jump out of the way, the knife landed in her leg. She screamed, and fell onto her side, while her wound oozed dark starry liquid.
"Mabel!" Dipper exclaimed, and knelt down to aid his sister.
Will was about to run to their side, when a figure stepped in front of him. Kill stood before him, and grinned evilly. The boy knew he was no match for the man, and he quickly ran the other way, and left the Wax Exhibit, with Kill's chilling laughter following him behind.
❇❇❇
Darkness surrounded him, as Will delved deeper into a dimly lit hallway. He slinked past many creepy displays, like stuffed prehistoric creatures and portraits with eyes that seemed to follow him around. His heart thrummed in his chest, as he tried to find a hiding place.
"Where did you go, you little brat?" Kill's voice bounced off the walls.
Panicking, Will scurried behind a nearby pedestal holding a vase. He kept still as possible, before daring a peak once hearing a pair of footsteps approaching him. He saw two figures: one of them was Kill, while the other was Wax Sherlock Holmes. By the look of annoyance on Kill's face, it was obvious he wasn't pleased with the living sculpture accompanying him.
"Why are you following me?" He demanded.
Sherlock huffed in return. "I'm making sure you hold onto your end of the deal once you finish the boy off."
"Relax, when my brother returns, I'll make sure you and the rest of your waxy pals get first pickings in the apocalypse."
"Good. Though, I can't believe I'm putting my trust in a Demon's word no less."
"Believe it or not, I ain't too thrilled with working with you either."
Will expected them to argue, a part of him hoping actually, since it would buy him some time to escape. Except, they moved on, and drew closer to his hiding spot. Will shrank back into the shadow, clutching his sweater, as he heard the footsteps come closer. This was his fault! How could he ever been so trusting towards this monster? Bill would've never did what he had done, his brother would've never gotten into this situation.
Then, what would Bill do?, Will questioned himself.
He scanned the area, and his eyes caught on something. The Dreamcatcher, was across from him. He would have to cross Kill's path. Will took a deep breath. He wasn't sure what Bill would've done, but he knew exactly what he had to do next. And, Will was not looking forward to it. So, before his courage could waver, he jumped out from his hiding place, and reached for the Dreamcatcher.
"There you are!" Kill yelled, throwing his knife at the boy.
Will bowed his head in time, as the blade flew past and embedded itself into a stuffed deer's forehead. As the two enemies surged forward, he grabbed the Dreamcatcher and swung it in Kill's direction. As the object hit him square in the chest, the Demon's clothes and skin immediately sizzled and smoked beneath it. Kill cried in agony, and bile rose in Will's throat at the stench of burning flesh. Then, the boy was nailed in the jaw by Sherlock, causing him to drop the Dreamcatcher. Will fell back, and watched in dismay as the wax figure stomped on the artifact until it was nothing but bits and pieces.
After that, he turned to Kill. The young man was breathing heavily, most of his red vest was fried away, revealing his scarred torso with the scorching imprint of the Dreamcatcher burned into his skin. Despite that, Kill had a smile on his face.
"Well done," He spoke, calmly. "I'm not even mad, I'm impressed. Did being reborn as a little kid finally made you grow a pair?"
Will backed away, but then immediately felt his arms being grabbed. He glanced over his shoulder, and felt his spirits drop, when looking into Sherlock's white eyes. He returned his gaze to Kill, when the man casted a shadow over him.
Kill panted heavily, smoke emitting from his wound. "I'm feeling pretty weak right now," He admitted. "But, I can still strangle you."
"You don't have to do this!" Will pleaded. "I'm sorry for what Mabel and Dipper did to your brother, but what does killing me have to do with--"
"Must I explain everything to you!" He roared, baring his fangs. "Bill Cipher is my brother."
Will gaped. "That doesn't make any sense..."
"It doesn't make any sense, because you can't remember," Kill growled. "You and Bill were both Demons, and were part of the Cipher clan. Bill was killed, but now he came back as a 15 year old boy. My job is to destroy any attachments he might have in the mortal realm, so he can follow his true calling. That means you, Will."
The boy only stared at him, no words came to his head, as shock and confusion fogged his mind. Him and Bill? Demons? What!? It didn't make sense, the brothers were normal kids that happened to run into bizarre situations. There was nothing extraordinary about them...right?
"You seen the cameras," Kill carried on. "The real Bill is still in there, the one that wants to destroy the Guardians, especially Dipper. It may have been a wax version, but Bill still had the desire to seek revenge on him for what he did."
"No," Will finally spoke, glaring at him. "Bill is not a monster, and if you were really his brother, you would see that."
The red eyes narrowed. "A true Cipher would see the truth. But, you have never been family to me."
"Finish it," Sherlock pressed, forcing Will's hands behind his back.
Will trembled in fear, as Kill wrapped his hands around his neck, and started tightening his grip...
"Hey, strawberry pimp!"
Kill blinked, and spun towards the new voice, only to have an axe struck him in the arm. Will's ears hurt, as the man released an inhuman shriek. Blood pumped out of his wound, but his arm was somehow still attached to his body. Meanwhile, two figures approached them, that happened to be Bill and Wendy.
Wendy shot Kill a glare. "Darn, I was aiming for the head."
"Good to see you too, treehugger," Kill shot back.
"Kill, ain't you going to stop her?" Sherlock questioned, looking fearfully at the Spirit of the Forest.
Kill coughed blood. "Forget that, you're on your own," He rasped. Then, he tossed a grin towards Bill. "I'll see you soon, Blondie."
Bill only stared back in distraught.
Then, in an instant, Kill disappeared in a puff of red smoke, and Wendy's axe dropped to the floor in his place. The redhead moved forward, and picked up her weapon, before shooting a sharp look towards Sherlock. Wisely, the wax figure released Will and ran the other way.
"Don't wait up for me," She told the twins, before chasing the living sculpture with a battle cry.
After she went, Bill rushed towards his brother. Will was bombarded with a lot questions, but he couldn't bring himself to speak. In the end, he only managed to answer only one of Bill's questions:
"Are you alright?"
Will felt a stinging in his jaw from the recent blow, but other than that... "I'm fine."
With that, Bill refrained from interrogating him, seeming satisfied for now. Moments later, Wendy returned while swinging her axe and whistling a merry tune.
"Well, I just committed wax homicide, wanna see how Dipper and Mabel are doing?"

A Nation of Distances (possibly a dystopian love story)
Michael lives in a toxic macho world with extreme male hierarchy. When he gets a weird rating that makes his place even more problematic he's forced to choose a fiancée at a Wife School, and he slowly discovers more about the other side of the great divide between the sexes in The Nation. If only the world would stop being so complicated... On the other side there's Megan, who's more interested in books than in marriage, and the unpredictable Eliza who seems to have a connection with Micheal already. Will they be able to cross the distance and become friends against all the rules of their own world, or will they just be crushed? Are positive relationships between men and women even possible? And is there a way to change the world or is that just a naive thought of a silly wimp? 'A Nation of Distances' is a slightly dystopian dialogue-heavy drama set in a low sci-fi future setting about the war between the sexes, disconnect and friendship. The genre will fluctuate in between more slice-of-life parts and soft sci-fi drama with possible romantic elements, with alternating lead and switching perspectives once more of the main characters are established. Content Warning: Certain concepts and scenes might be disturbing and/or triggering to some, even though the story itself won't be extremely heavy most of the time. Sexism as a double-edged sword destructive to both sexes is an important part of the story, but so is friendship.Note that all descriptions of persons and places are purely fictional and made up by the writer, and any resemblance with anything in the real world is a coincidence, since the real world is not supposed to be dystopian anyway!
