Mabel and Bill arrived shortly at the libary. They huddled around some books, that involved matching symbols in the document Bill found.
"OK, what do we have here?" Bill muttered, scanning the books. "Words, words, more words. Ugh, for once, I wished we had Pine Tree's nerdiness to help us out."
"Don't worry, I got your back," Mabel assured, while holding a book upsidedown.
Bill decided not to say anything, and continued looking through ancient parchments. He paused, when he saw the same triangle shape in the book, like one in the document.
"It says here that the triangle is an alchemist symbol for flame," Bill said, then took out a lighter. "Welp, guess I'm burning this place to the ground. Mabel, hand over--"
He paused, when he saw she had folded the document into a paper hat.
"Look, I made a hat!" She smiled proudly, pointing at her creation. "Wait, that's not helpful. Shoot!"
Bill stared. "Mabel...you folded it into a map!"
"Huh?" Mabel gasped, and took off the hat to examine it. "You're right!"
The blond's gaze darted to the lighter in his hand. "Is burning it still an option?"
"Bill, no."
"Fine," He grumbled, a little disappointed.
Mabel looked at the map in calculation. "It seems to be leading to the museum."
"You should head there right now--"
"Excuse me, we're looking for a kid and lady."
Both froze, and turned to see Officer Blubs and Deputy Durland at the entrance, talking to a worker.
"They couldn't be talking about us," Mabel said, in a low voice.
"And to be clear, the kid has blond hair and the devil's smile," Officer Blubs said.
"Nah, I'm pretty sure that's me," Bill whispered back.
The worker pointed to the back of the libary, where the two resided. Quickly, Mabel and Bill made a dash behind a nearby shelf, hiding away from the approaching cops.

"What do they want us for?" Mabel questioned, in confusion.
Bill squinted suspiciously at the officers. "Whatever it is, I don't wanna find out. Come on."
Then, as quietly as possible, the two left the libary, heading to their next destination.

Meanwhile, Will and Dipper were running around town, trying to find the missing llama.
"Lavender!" Will called, helplessly. "Aw, man. Dipper, you think Pacifica would be really upset or--"
"She will literally tear out the earth's core."
Will gulped. "Alright....LAVENDER!"
The two kept up their relentless searching, until they entered the town's center, and halted upon seeing the animal standing beside the fountain. However, she wasn't alone. Lavender had a leash around her neck, and holding the end of the leash was a boy with white hair.
Gideon, Will thought, in shock.
He still recalled their last meeting, and already felt the chill from those cold blue eyes. But strangely, Will didn't hate Gideon, even after all he did. However, there was no chance that their friendship will be rekindled, but Will never saw the other boy as the enemy. Still, bile rose in his stomach at the thought of talking to Gideon again.
"I'll handle this," Dipper decided, and Will was glad he did.
While the Cipher stood back, the Guardian stomped towards the young psychic. It was only until Dipper made a complete stop before him, when Gideon noticed his existence.
"Guardian of the Mind," Gideon greeted, politely. "I've been expecting you."
Dipper rolled his eyes. "Cut that out. That llama doesn't belong to you, so I advise you return it to me this instant."
The white haired boy examined him calmly. "Let's make a deal," He started. "I'll give you this llama, in exchange for your partnership."
"What partnership?" Dipper demanded.

"To overthrow Bill, of course," Gideon smiled, sweetly. "You do know what he is, do you?"
The Guardian hesitated, before answering. "Yes. But for now, he is only a mortal, and no longer a threat."
Gideon chuckled harshly. "So what? Are you going to stand back, and wait until he does oppose a threat? It'll be too late by then."
"We have it under control," Dipper insisted, fighting back the urge to shout. "Bill isn't your responsibility, kid."
"Oh? Is he your responsibility then?"
"As a matter of fact, yes," He nearly hissed. "I act as his protector, companion, and when the time comes, the cause of his demise. If you think about hurting him unprovoked, you'll be facing the dire consequences. Understood?"
Gideon looked him up and down. "I guess."
"Good. Now, would you please return the llama to me?"
The psychic regarded him blankly, then inhaled deeply, and screamed. "Help! This guy is harassing me! I am a child, and I'm being harassed!"
Dipper blinked. Oh crap--
"Hey, you!" A officer came up, along with his comrade. "You're in big trouble!"
"Nice costume, though," The other cop commented, pointing to Dipper's uniform.
"This isn't a costume, I'm a real Guardian!" Dipper protested. If only he could use he powers right now. Why, Mabel!?
"Yeah, yeah, tell it to the stocks," The officer deadpanned.
"I'm telling you-- Wait, did you say stocks?"
A few minutes later, Dipper was trapped in stocks in the middle of town.
"Aw great," He sighed.
Will ran up to him, with a distressed look. "Oh no! I'm so sorry I couldn't help!"
"It's alright, just--"
"Don't worry, I'll get you out of there," The boy declared. "I saw a nearby antique key shop, I'll be right back. Stay here." Then, he ran off.
Dipper looked at his trapped hands. "OK..."
❇❇❇
"And here you go," The worker smiled. "Two balloons, blue and pink."
"Ooh!" Mabel awed, as she was handed the balloon.
"This is degrading on so many levels," Bill noted.
"Oh hush, and let's figure out that next clue. Like steal Thomas Jefferson's ribcage?"
"Maybe later, for now, let's follow the map."
So, the two walked towards one of the museum exhibits, where the map had been leading them. They both stared at it in confusion. It was a triangular shape, with a misshapen canvas. They examined it for a long while. Eventually, Mabel grew bored and sat on a nearby bench.
"Hey painting," She started, turning upsidedown. "Be less stupid...Hey, it worked!"
Bill stared at her, then climbed on the bench, and copied her movements. As soon as he did that, he was facing a painted lady pointing in one direction.
"It's upsidedown!" He gasped.
"I think I saw that statue in the cemetery," Mabel recalled.
The two stood up from the bench, shortly clutching their heads, and groaning as blood circulated in their brains.
"Argh, that was a mistake," Bill groaned.
After they recovered, they went for exit. However, they froze midway, when coming across the cops from before. Officer Blubs faced them, and his expression became alert.
"Hey, you!" He yelled.
"Run!" Bill told Mabel.
Quickly, they managed to bolt passed the cops without being grabbed. As the officers tried to pursue them, Mabel slammed the doors shut, locking them inside. As they pounded on the doors, the two already escaped away from the building.
