《Void》Enter the Lion's Den

Hello once again to another unpredictable chapter of fusion chaos.
As I start going through the Tournament of Power arc, I'm going to be writing from other perspectives more, but don't worry. Our friend Vegito is going to not be missed as much.
Not to mention the Saiya-jins STILL have the earrings on their persons. Our Kaioshin is still not getting them back 'cause I'm not done with this insane idea of a train wreck, and truly abusing the heck out of these possible scenarios.
Plus I'm sure many of you are questioning how this will play out differently if Goku and Vegeta were in possession of these trinkets during the Tournament of Power.
Yes, I will have to re-read and re-watch most of this 'cause there were 80 freaking fighters to keep an eye on dang it! During this phase, I want to ensure that I don't miss too many details and could write from an entirely perspective than what you're expecting.
I have already written some possible ideas that I will be weaving into this monstrosity of a story, but now I'm curious about how you would have approached some of this.
And I'm sure everyone has questions about this whole thing: What kind of battles might change in the span of 48 minutes? Will I go with the anime version of the fight or will I go with the manga version? Will I bother to reference both of these at some point during the insanity of my writings and get things mixed up, causing plot holes in this crazy arc?
Will we see another fusion on fusion battle (Vegito vs. Kefla)? Or will the insanity of my writing go some other random direction?
For fun, please give me your theories in your comments. It may or may not happen, but at least it'll be fun to see what happens.
In the end, Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza flew to Bulma's after another heated argument ended and a cranky old crone drove the three off of her property. The cauldron hitting Goku was enough to end the argument between the three superpowers as the fool rubbed his head where a bump was forming. Vegeta tried to ignore the younger man's complaints, but it seemed that he deserved it for coming up with this ridiculous idea of fusing.
Said earrings were thankfully unscathed in their owner's respectful pockets. Frieza had not attempted to make an attempt to ruffle their prides further. Instead, he seemed oddly amused that Goku feared the old crone's temper more than his attempts of universal domination.
Upon returning to Capsule Corporation, it seemed that there was an angered Bulma waiting as her eyes seemed to nearly bore a hole into Goku for the mess that they were in. She would have yelled at him for putting their universe at risk of deletion. Instead, she restrained herself only due to Bulla falling asleep.

Whis on the other hand was not pleased at their torn clothes and injuries as Beerus went off on how irresponsible they were acting.
"Still can't believe how irresponsible you are," Bulma muttered as Whis finished repairing their clothes with his magic and healing their injuries.
"At least we managed to convince Frieza to join us so we have ten fighters," Goku shrugged.
"Barely convinced him," Vegeta reminded the younger Saiya-jin.
"Enough, we are running out of time before the tournament starts," Beerus yelled at the two Saiya-jin that narrowly managed to acquire the tenth and final fighter for their universe. "Whis, get us to the fighting arena."
"Yes Lord Beerus," Whis calmly summoned his staff as he looked at the other fighters. "Everyone hold hands and we will head there right away."
Most of them managed to hold hands, however, Vegeta refused to hold Frieza's hand as he looked away from the despot in disgust.
"What's wrong monkey prince? Don't want to hold hands?" Frieza questioned.
"I'd rather fuse with the clown than entertain the idea," Vegeta snorted.
"Oh really? I think if you did that, then you would be a fighter down considering..." Frieza's snide comment was interrupted by Beerus quickly interjecting himself between the Saiya-jin and despot and grabbed their hands with his own.
"You two need to put your bickering aside for the sake of the universe," Beerus muttered in absolute annoyance. He was already sick of Frieza's higher-than-mighty attitude. If the universe was not going to pot, he would have easily had the despot thrown back in hell and forgotten his unruly hide for the rest of eternity.
Sad to say though that they had no other choice but to entertain the enemy of the very universe. The adage "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" could not ring more true at that very moment as they prepare to leave Earth.
Hopefully, not for the last time.
"Good luck everybody! Please come home safe!" Bulma called up to them. Vegeta briefly glanced over his shoulder at his wife, the mother of his children, before turning his focus inward and closing his eyes.
'I'm doing this for Bulma, Trunks, and Bra...' Vegeta mentally thought to himself. His family had given him the strength he needed, his sole reason to fight. If he lost, they would all be erased.
The thought horrified him. A world without Bulma was unthinkable. It was one he knew if he did not have her, he would sooner wish to be erased with her as well.
A true Saiya-jin warrior could not survive without their mate, their queen, at their side after all. It was what gave him a purpose to go against Majin Buu years ago when the magical alien creature threatened to destroy everything and everyone within the universe.

Goku on the other hand seemed unworried about what was truly at stake. The only thing he knew was that he was about to fight strong opponents.
If only he knew the battle he was about to get involved in and those he angered in his hasty choice of reminding Zeno of his 'promise' of a glorious tournament. And surprisingly, it was not limited to the very universe and the fighters he had helped gathered for this farce.
________
A murky darkness was the first thing that Vegeta could see when they arrived on the top-shaped platform. Its vexing creation seemed completely foreign and out of place in this... void of sorts that surrounded them.
Kakarrot, the fool, went to the very edge to see if there was anything below the platform, but like the sky and other surroundings, there was nothing there. Just an infinity of murky darkness as far as the eye could see. To anyone else, this would be a vexing situation. If anyone fell off the platform, they would just continued to fall for an eternity, right? Unless they knew how to fly and...
"I can't fly," Kakarrot realized, surprised by this turn of events as he looked at the other creatures that possessed wings and could easily fly without any problems.
"All winged creatures are able to fly," Whis confirmed this fact as reality sunk in hard.
This truly was hell that the fool Kakarot had dragged them into. How could he be so calm about all of this? He started to wonder if anything else was barred that he had to know about so he could formulate a plan.
Around them, other fighters from their respective universes began to appear on the platform, staying mostly within their given space and avoiding interaction with anyone else from another that was unlike their own. Right now, it would not benefit them from even interacting with each other, especially since making friends would be a meaningless attempt when it was every universe fighting to avoid erasure.
"Vegeta!" a familiar voice rang out as the prince noticed a familiar Saiya-jin run towards him.
"Cabba," Vegeta acknowledged, noticing that he was being tailed by two other Saiya-jin females. One was almost like Kakarrot in the way she carried herself. The other though seemed more reserved.
Such an observation made the prince briefly recall his younger brother Tarble and how uneasy he was about fighting. While it was for just a moment, he could see a lot of similarities in how she was around all of the other fighters. Vegeta started to wonder why his father had sent the younger prince away, but he quickly dismissed such thoughts as he noted Kakarrot had wandered off.
Great. What the heck was he doing now?
________
Goku approached the area where all of the Universe 11 fighters had gathered, his attention falling upon the tall, gray skinned alien. He had a calm, yet overwhelming presence.
This had to be him.
This had to be Jiren.
This had to be the one stronger than Universe 11's God of Destruction, Belmond.
"Hey, are you Jiren?" Goku questioned. "My name is..."
"Get lost." Jiren grunted in displeasure, wanting this annoyance gone.
'He seems rather rude,' Vegito's voice mumbled inside of Goku's head.
'Tell me about it,' Goku agreed with the disembodied fusion that seemed to make it a point to add his own commentary every once in awhile.
For once, the young man chose not to say anything out loud considering he was around the fighters from Universe 11. They were already glaring at him to go rejoin the others in his sector, especially from Toppo, who seemed to be glaring daggers for the sheer insanity of one man's actions endangering countless lives across eight universes.
Not long ago, Toppo and Goku had briefly fought some time ago during an exhibition match to show both Zeno what battling is like. Things were going to become pretty intense before the match was abruptly interrupted by the Grand Priest. He argued that they should save such strength for the real battle between the universes, and with reluctance, both Zeno agreed to such terms, eager to find out more about what was to come of such a contest.
It only made the Tournament of Power more appealing to the two overseers of the universes, and made them all the more eager to see the contest of strength, skill, and technique.
Speaking of which, the two made their grand entrance all bright eyed and bushy tailed from the back as they took their seats, eager to see what all the excitement was about.
It seemed that the contest, the battle for survival was about to begin as Goku made his way back to where the others were standing.
Now the question remained: who would make it out on top?
