Lucious ran his hands through his wet hair as he exited the shower. A towel was wrapped around his lower body, muscles bulging out from his bare body. His body was well worked– out. Abs could be seen lining his lower abdomen. He stood before his wardrobe and quickly grabbed a casual white T–shirt and a trouser. Putting them on quickly, his mind drifted off again.

" The rogue" Daryl, his wolf said again.

" What the fuck Daryl?!" He growled angrily. " Stop it already!"

He couldn't understand why his wolf had been disturbing him with that same sentence for the past few days. It had gotten worse after Raphael's mate had taken her away from him — Well actually he had intentionally let her take the rogue girl. He couldn't bare seeing her in that condition and figured he'd keep hurting her all the time. That's why he simply let them take her. She would recover better while she was with someone her age at least.

Besides , Lucious need Alena would be a good company to the rogue. Her loving personality would eventually win the rogue girl over.

" The rogue" Daryl reminded him.

"Oh shut up Daryl " Lucious half–yelled, annoyance visible in his voice as he shoved his wolf to the back of his head. He put up the mind block, he didn't want to her anymore of Daryl's whining. It pissed him off.

Lucious didn't know why the more the night of the Moon Ball approached, the more restless and cranky Daryl seemed to become.

Lucious sighed. He had to get this night over and done with. His footsteps made gentle sounds as he padded his way to his balcony. Lucious stood there, his eyes gazing into the already dark night. His eyes someone looked up to see the almost–full moon. By tomorrow, a full moon will grace the night sky with it's presence.

A full moon was always a start of something new for many shifters. Lucious couldn't help but wonder what it had in store for him.

Haven was still changing when she heard a soft knock on the door. She was trying to change into something comfortable to sleep in. Alena made sure to buy her just about enough clothes to get by. They were so beautiful that Haven felt a pang of guilt, having to leave them all behind tomorrow.

Haven quickly put on the pyjamas she saw in one of the shopping bags. It seemed Alena thought she would be staying here for a long time because she ended up buying much more than Haven would actually need.

" Haven? You still awake? " Alena's voice called out softly. Haven padded across the room and opened the door wide enough for Alena to enter. She held a plate of cookies in one hand and a glass of milk in the other.

Haven's eyes landed on Alena's bulging stomach and she couldn't help the small smile that made it way to her lips. She always longed to have her own baby too, someday. Haven had dreamt of carrying Tristan's child ever since she had fallen for him.

Tristan... Even saying the name brought so much pain and sadness to her heart. Haven missed him, she missed her love so much. Tristan was her first love and the only man Haven had ever fallen for. He was everything she ever dreamt of having — yet she lost him. And that too, to her very own best friend. Haven had always considered Mika a sister more than a friend. But this was what she had gotten in return?

Haven shook her head. They were right when they said don't trust anyone, even your closest friend could turn out to be your worst enemy.

" I brought you some cookies. I figured you must be hungry after all the shopping" Alena smiled entering the room. She walked over to Haven's bedside table and carefully placed both cup and plate down.

Haven didn't know she was hungry till she saw those yummy looking cookies on the table. Her stomach suddenly made funny noises, making Alena's head whipped towards her. She let out a soft laughter after she saw Haven's face had gone red with embarrassment.

" Come over here already, I don't think your stomach can handle anymore of the hunger" She laughed. Haven wanted to face palm herself.

' Way to go stomach, what a very good job' She rolled her eyes, closing the door before walking over to Alena who was now sitting on the bed. Alena passed her the plate of cookies and Haven didn't waste anymore time as she started digging in. Alena looked away, trying to give Haven a little privacy to eat.

Not more than a minute later, she felt Haven tapped her shoulder gently. Alena looked over to see Haven gesturing for her to do something.

Alena was a bit confused " What?" . Haven pointed to the cup beside her which she picked up and passed to her. Alena's eyes landed on the empty plate on Haven's laps.

" You're already done eating??" She asked bewildered. It hasn't been up to a minute so how the hell did Haven finished up all those cookies.

What the hell?!

Haven grinned seeing Alena's shocked face. Even back home, when all the pack gathered to eat, everyone wonder how she ate so fast.

" I'm just really hungry" She would say " Besides we can't let good food go to waste, can we? " She would try to justify her actions making the whole room erupt into laughter.

Alena laughed seeing the huge grin on Haven's face. Haven really was something else.
