Lucious could feel Daryl whining in pain. He felt as if he had just been stabbed in the heart when he heard those words leave his mate's lips.

She hated him, she really does.

Lucious felt like laughing at himself right now. Of course, did he expect her to just accept him just like that? After everything he had put her through?

Lucious could see the hatred swimming in those blue eyes as she glared at him. If it was any other person, he wouldn't have mind at all. In fact, he would enjoy seeing it.

He didn't care whether he was hated or not, whether he was feared ot not.

No, the former him didn't. Now it mattered to him, what she thought of him.

His mate.

He couldn't bear to see the hatred in her eyes. Lucious would do anything she asked, even if she told him to rip his heart out, he will gladly do that for her. If it would get rid of her hatred for him, he would do it a hundred times.

Lucious gritted his teeth as he dropped his hands. He couldn't even touch his own mate.

" Are you okay?" He asked again, looking at her bloody face in worry. He knew she would heal, but the healing was too slow for his liking.

The woman before him simply ignored him. She pursued her plump lips, looking as if she was struggling with something. Only then did Lucious look down to see her hands were tied behind her.

" Let me" He began saying, as he reached out to help her.

" Don't touch me!" She growled, glaring at him for a while before she continued her attempt to free herself. Lucious kept quiet as he sat there, looking at his mate , eyes filled with amusement.

He allowed her struggled some more, watching as she tugged on the rope furiously but it was of no use.

Lucious had a small frown on his face as he watched her.

' She could end up hurting herself if she continued with this stubbornness' He sighed silently.

Lucious couldn't just sit there and watch his mate get hurt , even if she was the one trying to hurt herself, he won't let her.

He got up without a word and crouched behind her. He drew her closing to him as his hands went to untie the ropes.

Lucious could feel his mate stiffen at his touch . Ignoring the small spark that erupted whenever his fingers grazed her hands, he sighed as he said. " You'll just hurt yourself, stay still let me get you out of those ".

Haven could feel his hot breath, fanning her neck as he spoke in his husky voice. She gulped, feeling her heartbeat drastically increase at this close proximity.

What was this stupid mate pull? She wriggled a bit, feeling the small sparks erupting behind her.

" Stay still!" She heard him say again, his hands fiddling with the ropes as he finally removed them from her hands.

Haven groaned with relief, feeling her hands which had gone sore by now. They ached badly as she moved, pressing them to get more blood circulating. After a while, she reached down to untie the ropes on her feet.

She fiddled with them for a while before she finally freed herself. Haven quickly stood up as she felt the man behind her stand up.

Okay, that might have been a really wrong decision. She had barely stood up when she felt her legs give way, sending her falling to the ground.

Haven gasped as she felt herself fall into strong arms instead. She could feel the stupid sparks electrocuting her skin from where he had touched her.

Haven hated to admit it but deep down, she really enjoyed the tingling sensation that ran through her body whenever they made contact. It felt so refreshing and she found herself subconsciously yearning for more.

Lucious held his mate as he gently helped her up. He didn't let go till he was sure she could really stand on her own.

Lucious looked up, the day was breaking already.

" We should go back home now" He said softly, his gaze returning to the one person he would never get tired of watching.

Haven scoffed hearing what he had just said. " Home?"

" Since when did " your pack" turn to my home?" She scoffed.

" I want nothing to do with you" She spat viciously.

' He's our mate.. ' Kira whined in disapproval.

' I want to go with him' She said making Haven shake her head.

' No Kira, we are not going anywhere with this man' Haven glared at him , turning around to leave.

She didn't even get the chance to move her legs when strong hands suddenly grabbed her, pulling her roughly towards him.

" But I don't think I said I want nothing to do with you " Lucious frowned a little , looking down at the smaller woman before him.

Now that they were standing, Lucious was just noticing how small she was compared to him. She was barely reaching his chest.

" You're so small..." He said softly making Haven's eyes widen as she look at.

Out of the blue, she felt him pull her into his embrace, bending down to rest his head on her shoulder. Haven's whole body went cold, she felt her brain stop functioning.

Lucious closed his eyes, hugging her more tightly as he inhaled her sweet scent. He could stay like this forever, without any care in the world.

" Let's go home, you need to get treated " His husky voice whispered into her ears. Haven could feel his hot breath, fanning her neck slowly.

Her whole body turned into jelly as she stood there clueless. Without another word, Haven felt herself being carried off the ground.

" Let's go home"
