《Return • Todoroki ff》Chapter 14

"We are here," Akira said as she unlocked the car door and got off with MiYoung and Asahi following.
The Hitori siblings continued to walk towards the sushi place in silence and upon reaching Akira gave the staff her name. After the staff checked if her name was on the reservation list she led them into the restaurant and to their allocated seat.
"Asahi what do u want to eat?" Akira asked as she gave Asahi and Niko the menu.
"Tamago(egg) sushi!" Asahi exclaimed before he even looked at the menu.
"That's all?" Niko questioned.
"The crab stick sushi as well," Asahi said finally looking through the menu. As he looked through the menu he continued to list the sushi he wanted to order and Niko and Akari didn't even have to look through the menu because he ordered almost every sushi that was on the menu.
'Teenagers and their ability to eat is scary..' Niko thought.
"Asahi, that's all right?" Akira questioned and Asahi nodded in reply.
Akira pressed the submit button on the ipad to send their orders to the kitchen.
"I feel like the chefs will be very happy," Niko joked as she closed the menu and placed it to the side. Asahi smirked as he closed his menu as well.
"Asahi what are you going to do after you graduate from UA?"
"There's still a year left for me to think about that," Asahi commented taking a sip from his tea.
"Asahi, one year is going to pass by very quick. You have to decide if you want to continue your career as a hero or if you want to just work as a normal person."
"Okok don't nag at me!" The sisters shook their head at their younger brother's reaction and comments.
"Okay but have you at least thought about it?" Niko questioned.
"I mean yea we are asked to do that almost every day in UA. I think I would want to continue as a hero, it's what I went to UA for right?"
"I mean even if you graduate from the hero course in UA it doesn't necessarily mean you have to be a hero. A good example is Niko," Akira said as she scrolled through social media on her phone.
"I mean I did want to be a hero but Dad asked me to go over to Korea and manage the store. I had no choice."
"Niko, if you want to be a hero go ahead we won't stop you."
"But then there'll be no one to manage the company."
"I can give up my shop and manage it it's the least I can do to help my younger sibling's fulfill their dreams," Akira said and smiled.
Niko couldn't believe what her eldest sister had said. The main reason why she had to take over the company was because her eldest sister had refused to do so, and Akira's reason for doing so was because she wanted to try opening a shop of her own. Although she never mentioned if she had any intention of giving up her shop for the company as what she had just said.

Niko's train of thoughts was interrupted when the waitress came with Asahi's tamago and corn sushi.
"Thank you," Asahi said as he took the plates from the waitress and placed it in the middle of the table.
"Asahi are you sure you can finish everything you ordered?" Akira questioned as she watched her younger brother eat his sushi.
"I am very sure I can finish after all it's mostly sushi." Akira nodded in reply and started eating as more sushi came.
After Akira paid for their meal they went back to the car.
"Okay let's head home," Akira said and her siblings nodded.
The drive back to the Hitori estate wasn't that long since they stay rather close to the sushi place.
"We are here," Akira announced as she unlocked the car door and Asahi and I got off.
"Niko, I have a math problem that I don't understand," Asahi said as I unlocked the front door.
"I'll be in the living room you can come down and ask me later," I replied pushing the front door open and taking off my sneakers.
Asahi nodded in reply and went to his room, I went up to my room to take my laptop so that I can get some work done in the living room. Shortly after I sat down on the floor and placed my laptop on the coffee table Asahi came in with what I assume was his math homework.
"Before I help you I would like to inform you that when I was still in UA my math wasn't the best," I said as I took the paper he handed me and Asahi nodded in reply.
'Thank god it's not geometry.' I thought as I took a pencil and started to explain how the problem was supposed to be solved.
After I explained the solution to Asahi again he understood and thanked me before taking his paper and going upstairs to his room to hopefully finish the rest of his homework.
After I finished looking through a few of the documents Kaito had sent me the night before and answering a few more of Asahi's questions I checked the time on my laptop to realise it was already 6.45pm. I quickly powered off my laptop and went up to my room to take a shower. After showering I dried my hair and braided it into a side braid before putting on my earrings and grabbing my bag and the bag with the perfume I had made for Shoto. I brisked walked towards the front door and put on my shoes.
Opening the front door and grabbed my car keys out of my bag and got into the driver seat. Before I started the engine I typed the address of the restaurant into my GPS I heaved a sigh of relief when I realised that the restaurant wasn't that far away from my house, it was only a 10 mins drive and thankfully it was only 7.10pm. I started the engine of the car and started the drive towards the restaurant while still praying that the traffic won't be bad.

"Good evening sir do you have a reservation?" The waiter who was standing by the front desk of the restaurant asked and I nodded.
"May I know what name is it under?"
"Todoroki," I replied and the waiter checked the list.
"It says here that you made a reservation for 2 people?"
"Ah yes my partner is running a little late would it be okay if I went in first?" The waiter nodded and led me to my seat.
Actually I did lie a little, it was not because Niko was late it was because I came a little too early. I came earlier so I could mentally prepare myself for whatever I was going to say. After awhile the same waiter came to my table with two menus and asked if I wanted anything while waiting.
"Can I please have a cup of hot tea?" The waiter nodded and left to get my tea leaving me alone once again to think about how I should phrase my sentence so that the news won't sound too abrupt to Niko.
After a few minutes Niko came in and took a seat.
"Sorry for being late," Niko said as she placed her bag down.
"It's fine I was just too early," I replied handing her the menu the waiter had previously given me.
Niko skimmed through the menu as I did the same. After we were sure of what we were going to order we called the waiter over.
"I would like to have a plate of spaghetti and hot tea please," Niko said as she closed the menu.
"And for you sir?"
"Cold soba," I replied as I closed the menu and handed both the menus to the waiter who was taking our orders down.
"You ordered a plate of spaghetti with hot tea and cold soba am I right?" The waiter confirmed and I nodded in reply.
"Okay your order will be ready shortly," The waiter said as he took the menu and left.
"You said you had something to tell me?"
"Um my sidekick informed me this early that the hero department in America had requested for us to bring forward the transfer to two weeks later. They stated that it was because that is a large increase in villians in America lately and they do not have enough heroes to manage."
"Oh. So does that mean I have a lesser time to make my decision," Niko questioned and I nodded.
"It's fine if you don't want to come," I said in a hurry.
"No no it's not that it's just that I haven't discussed this with my family yet and even if I do go to America with you what will I do there?"
I didn't know what to say. I didn't think about that. As I was opening my mouth to say something Niko cut me off.
"Although I have been thinking... What if I retake the test for the hero license in Japan before I go to America so that I can start my hero career there?"
"That's a good idea, but I don't think you have to retake the test. You just have to renew your license and you're good to go."
"Oh. That would be easier. But where would I start I haven't been doing hero work for almost 3 years."
"You can work for me at my agency if you're fine with it. Of course this is until you have a stabilized position in the hero standings. Then you can open your own agency,"
"I guess that would work but I still need time to think about it. I'll give you my answer by the end of next week," Niko said.
"Oh right before I forget I have something to give you," Niko said as she handed me a bag.
I raised my brows in confusion as she gestured for me to take the box out from the bag and open it. When I opened it I was shocked to see a perfume bottle with a red and white ribbon tied on it.
"Did you buy it?" I asked as I opened the cap to smell the perfume.
"Nope I made it. Though I wasn't sure about the scent to make I hope you like the vanilla scent. It was the only thing I could think of."
"Are you kidding? I love it. It smells similar to the one I use daily and you have perfect timing I must say the perfume that I was using just ran out and I was planning to go buy another one over the weekends. Thank you for your present Niko," I said as I put the cap back on and placed it back into the box which went back into the bag.
"I feel kinda bad for not getting you anything.." I said as I placed the bag on the chair next to me.
"Oh it's fine," Niko said as she took a sip out of her tea which had just been delivered by the waiter.
"How about this are you free on Saturday?"
"I think so? Why?"
"I was wondering if we could go to the jewellery shop to make something."
"Yea sure why not."
As our conversation went on and on we didn't even realise our food had came until Niko looked down to reach for her cup to drink her tea.
"Oh the food is here already," Niko said placing her cup back down.
"Well then let's eat while we talk," I commented as I took a pair of chopsticks from a box nearby and gave it to Niko before taking a pair for myself.
