Laying on her bed Avni was lost in her thoughts. It is strange how life could change in an instant. Soon she will leave this life behind and become Aditya's wife. She will face new people and new relations. All this made her nervous but then it was her fate. Her mind drifted to the events of tonight. She thought about how it felt when Aditya responded to her respecting her feelings. She never expected him to be like that.

After having dinner they talked together for a while. When they got back Avni was at the door and her mother came rushing towards her all smiles and too excited. She got hold of her after Aditya left and started questioning about the dinner. Avni answered her vaguely and rushed to her bedroom where she found peace.

Sometimes Avni couldn't believe that it is her mother who is acting like a teenager. But then that was her mother and she loved her dearly.

On the other hand, when Aditya reached home his dear sister, Baani greeted him and asked about his meeting with Avni.

' Adi how was your date?' She asked dreamily. So typical of Baani always romanticizing, Aditya thought.

'It wasn't a date sis! It was just a meeting over dinner. '

'Well as far as I know when two people with similar interests meet over dinner that is a date.'

'Alright. Call it a date if you want to. But nothing happened that concerns you.'

'My dear brother getting all defensive just after first date!!!' Baani said grinning. She was enjoying his reaction too much.

'I am just telling you. I am not getting defensive.'

'C'mon bro tell me. Do you like her? Is she pretty? '

'Baani I thought you have already met her then why are you asking me?'

Baani frowned. 'I know that but it was a long time ago and I want to know what you think about her.'

Aditya thought about Avni. She was looking beautiful. By looking at her he felt something like a pull and a need to touch her. He never thought of her as a short tempered girl. When she got angry he saw a spark in her which he liked very much. The attraction was there which he couldn't understand. But then he never met a woman who was not interested in his money. So he definitely liked her.

'Ok she is nice and I liked her. Now please excuse me I have work to do.'

'Its good to know that you liked her. You two will be great together.'

'Well thank you sis now if you give me your permission to leave I will be very grateful to you.' Aditya said it like a gentleman begging for forgiveness for his mistakes and Baani started laughing excusing him.

The next day, Aditya's grandmother was discharged from the hospital and she came back home happy. As soon as she entered her room she called for Aditya.

'Aditya I want your views on Avni. What do you think of my choice?'

'You very well know my answer. Though I never wanted to marry but I think I will marry Avni.'

Aditya's grandmother was delighted beyond compare. 'I knew that you will like her. She is after all my choice! ' grandma said proudly.

'So now I've agreed to marry are you happy?'

'Don't be silly boy. I will be happy after you two get married as soon as possible. So we just need to fix the date and I think it would be next week.'

'What? Are you serious? But that is too soon.'

'Yes but I have limited time left in my life so the sooner the better. '

The next few days went by and it was time for the wedding to take place. Since the time was limited but still it was grand. All high society people were present.

Avni was sitting in her room all by herself looking a beautiful bride when her mother entered her room.

'You look very beautiful my baby. I cannot believe that you are about to marry. It seem like yesterday when I held you in my arms.' There were happy tears in Avni's mother eyes. She continued, ' I want you to remember one thing Avni that your husband's honor is your honour so always maintain it and give that family no reason not to love you.'

Avni nodded and smiled. 'Yes ma don't worry I will not let you down. I know how important is this marriage. '

'I trust you Avni and always remember we are here to support you if you need us. If you face any problem you just have to let us know.'

Avni smiled towards her mother knowing that she will miss her and her love and care.

'Now come it is time for the wedding. ' Asha led her towards the mandap where Aditya was sitting waitng for her.

The moment Avni stepped towards him her eyes landed on him. He was looking too handsome with his beautiful clothes. He was looking like a prince. His eyes were stuck on her and she felt herself blushing under his gaze.

Aditya couldn't believe his eyes. How could someone look so beautiful he thought. Tonight would be more beautiful to control than he thought it to be. Avni was dressed in beautiful dress of white golden and red. She was looking like an angel with her shy smile and the blush. He couldn't take his eyes off her and the others too for that matter.

When she came and sat beside him Avni felt the warmth reaching towards her. She never felt like this with anyone before so it was confusing for her. But then she tried to occupy her mind got in the wedding ceremony .

The ceremony ended and they returned home as husband and wife.
