《The Dark Apprentice: a teen titans fanfiction》The Informant

Over the next few months, I had learned the Titans strengths and weaknesses, their combat maneuvers, and their pasts.
"Beast Boy can turn into any animal hes seen, but he isnt that smart. Confuse him and hes an easy target.
Robin is the leader and an excellent fighter. He was trained by Batman himself, but doesnt have any real powers. Hes in love with Starfire and has quite a temper when it comes to you. Make him mad or harm Starfire and he'll play right into your hands.
Starfire can shoot her starbolts, fly, and has immense strength. But she is very naive to this world and is in love with Robin. Also, her powers run off of her emotions, much like mine. Make her sad to take away her flying, and take her confidence to stop her strength.
Cyborg is kinda like the big brother of the team. His hands both turn into sonic cannons, he is extremely strong, and is very intelligent. But he has his emotional limits, and there is a panel on his back. Break into it and pull a few wires and hes down." I relayed to Slade.
Every friday night at 11, I would tell Slade any information I had learned, as well as receive my next set of orders.
"Very good, Raven. I am interested in this, Cyborg character. You are to get on his good side. Make him care for you more than the others. Also, I want blueprints of his system." Slade said.
"At once, Master. But may I ask what you are planning for him?" I kept my voice emotionless. I didnt want Slade to hear the concern I felt for the big brother of the team.
"I may want him. I am not sure yet. He could be extremely valuable to us if we can get him. Think about it, Raven. He could upgrade the bots to an unbeatable level. Yes, I am going to consider this carefully. What is your opinion, my dear Apprentice?"
I was silent as I took in what he has said.
"I... I think he would be a valuable ally, Master. However, he does have a strong will and has his limitations."
Slade nodded. "Noted. Gather the information for next time we speak."

"Understood, Master" I said with a nod as I closed the Titans communicator I was given. With a sigh, I laid back on my bed and quickly fell asleep.
*1 week later*
~~ Dream ~~
I ran through the darkness as the voices screamed at me. I was back in my uniform for Slade, and covered my head with my hood as I ran.
"Jerk!" the voices screamed. Their were 4 voices: 3 male and 1 female.
"Demon!"
"Theif!"
"Villain!" they yelled. But above all, one word rang out clearly above the rest.
"TRAITOR!" It was Robin's voice. The darkness slowly lifted and revealed Slade, arms open. The voices slowly faded as I approached him.
Beside him, a smiling Cyborg stood. His normally blue and silver metal was black and orange. In the center of his chest was Slade's personal emblem. He was smiling, but though he was smiling, his voice hissed out at me. "How could you Rae. I thought we were friends"
~~ End Dream ~~
"NOO!" I screamed as my eyes flashed open. I shot up in my bed and looked around. I was in Titans Tower in my room. I was panting.
"Just a nightmare" I whispered to myself. Just then, there was a knock in my door.
"Raven! You ok?" I recognized the voice. Robin.
"Im fine, Robin." I called. I was about to tell him to leave, but the door slid open before I could.
"You sure? I heard you scream" he said, concern laced in his voice. He walked over as I sighed.
"No Robin. I'm not sure if I'm fine. But you are sure, right?" I said annoyed. This made him stop and smile sheepishly.
"Haha.. sorry Rae"
"DON'T. Call me Rae. My name is Raven." I growled. The nickname that Beast Boy had given me infuriated me beyond compare.
"Sorry, sorry" he said quickly. "Ill just.. uhh... leave then"
"You do that" I said irritated. He left and I got up to lock my door. I got back in my bed, and right as I was about to fall asleep again, the Titan's alarm went off. I heard a distant yell of "TITANS! ITS SLADE"
I groaned. Did he have to do it this early? Apparently so. I pushed myself back up and grabbed my cloak. I paused in the doorway of my room, and glanced at the corner of my room.

It was going to be tonight. I know it. I walked back in and packed my things into my personal dimension I used for storing item. I walked to the corner and grabbed my familiar sword. Though invisible, I still felt every detail under my palm.
I hooked the sword onto my shoulder and glanced around, making sure I didnt forget anything. I knew I didnt, but I was stalling.
With a sigh, I teleported to the others, who were surrounded by Slade bots about to open fire. I surrounded the Titans with my black energy and heard Beast Boy call
"Why does this look familiar?"
I gave a small smile and shoved my powers outwards, destroying every robot around. Slade nodded that I had kept up my act.
I let the shield drop and the others immediately charged forward. Beast Boy morphed into a lion and lunged for Slade, who dodged under him and slammed his heel into BBs chest. Beast Boy went sailing into a nearby building and out of the battle.
Starfire grabbed Robins wrists and flew up into the air. Slade relaxed his stance and crossed his hands behind his back. I knew he was smiling. He was waiting for Robin and Starfire.
I heard his cold voice ring out, as Robin swung down with his bo staff. "Watch out for Raven, Robin" I knew that was an order in disguise. I braced myself and sprinted forward.
In the blink of an eye, I lunged forwards right in front of Robin. I gasped in pain as his staff slammed into my shoulders. I cried out as I slammed into the ground.
"FRIEND RAVEN!" Starfire screamed.
I slammed into the pavement and skidded slightly, my cloak protecting me from everything worse than a few scapes and bruises. I heard Cyborgs heavy footsteps running towards me, but saw that Robin did not care that he had hit me. He continued to attack Slade.
Cyborg knelt down next to my panting form, taking my pulse and checking for broken bones.
"That idiot. Hurts his own teammate and doesnt even care.. What were you doing, Raven? I didnt even see you move in to attack" he trailed off as Starfire was sent hurtling backwards into the street. Cyborg stood and rushed to help Robin, who now fought alone.
I saw Beast Boy run to Star and helped her up. The 2 ran forward, preparing to attack the masked criminal. Cyborg and Robin jumped backwards and regrouped with the others. I, however, was laying limp in the road.
Beast boy morphed into the Beast and roared, Starfire charged her star bolts, Cyborg changed both hands into his sonic cannons, and Robin locked to birdarangs together, creating a red and yellow sword.
They were going all out now.
Just as they had practiced, all of them ran forward at Slade, and attacked all at once.
Robin and the beast charged forward and began attacking the man, who simply dodged each attack, as Star and Cyborg fired everything they had. Slade folded his hands behind his back and said casually.
"Raven."
Immediately I sprang into action. I phased into the asphalt and flew towards him. Just as the attack was about to strike, I rose put of the ground and covered Slade with my powers. I gritted my teeth as the explosions shook my force field, but kept it up.
As the smoke cleared, I saw some smug Titans looking back at me. The smoke was too think for them to make out the outcome, but they obviously thought they had won. I let down my shield as Slade called out "Youll have to do better than that, Titans." Said Titans froze and stared in horror as the smoke cleared. I pulled my hood up and closed my eyes.
"R... Raven?" Beast Boy muttered.
"Why did you save him?" Robin demanded.
"My, my. Did you already forget, Titans? I happen to have an apprentice, remember?" Slade said in a rather smug voice.
"Raven did the, taking-down to this apprentice" Starfire said, confusion on her face.
"You really dont get it, do you?" I sighed and opened my red glowing eyes, an evil grin on my face. "I am Slade's apprentice"

A King in the Clouds
Tanlar. A cruel, repulsive, and foul word. It meant untitled, officially, but it also meant ungifted, unable, unworthy, unnecessary, unhuman. It was more a curse than a term, a badge only the damned and condemned wore. To be a tanlar was to know your life, your entire being, was insignificant. Once Kaizer had resigned himself to such a fate, but those times had passed. He may have been untitled, but he was anything but untalented. He refused to scrape by at the bottom of society. Those who stood above him could sneer all they liked, but he wouldn’t suffer being stepped on for long. He’d be better, much better. But of course he would be. ‘Fate’ demanded it so. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] What To Expect: The story of a boy becoming a man becoming a king + everything that entails. Largely gamelit, but later arcs could be called litrpg. Also schemes. A lot of schemes. I do love some good ol' fantasy politics and intrigue. Minimum Word Count a Week: TBA after Writathon Release Time(s): Daily for as long as I can/until the end of the Writathon. I also write The Deathseeker [Returning Dec 5th]

It all started with that voice. One day, a slightly psychopathic teenager named Krey heard a voice in his dream. A goddess's request, a new world, the legacies of the Divine realms, the never-ending storms in the world of Salratia. With the carefree thought of "I shall live as I please~!", Krey sets out to begin his 'otaku' dream. But it is not smooth sailing. Troublesome divine entities, mortal politics and the relationship with his new companions. How could he, a former assassin and former odd-jobs part-time high school student worker (not to mention an otaku), a perfect example of a loner (though he himself doesn't seem to realize it) be able to handle this problem? "Ei! Whatever, there's still a few more centuries! I'll go travel the world in peace!" [Author here. This is my first time writing a story in RRL. Criticism is very welcome as long as it is educational and has some tips and bits of advice for me. I am still learning]
