《The Dark Apprentice: a teen titans fanfiction》Betrayal

My powers swirled around me, completely covering my body from view as my uniform changed. Slade's personal emblem formed on my back, as well as on the clasp of my cloak. My katana was no longer invisible and glowed brightly in the moonlight.
The Titans stared in shock as my powers cleared, revealing my uniform to my former friends. I smirked as I saw Beast Boy drop to his knees in shock. Starfires eyes glowed even brighter green. She was furious. Cyborg's eyes never left me as he charged his cannons again. Robin said nothing, but I felt the intensity of his glare.
I spun around to face Slade and kneeled before him, removing my hood.
"Master. What are your orders?" I said in an quiet voice. I knew he was smiling from the way his eye wrinkled.
"Defeat the Titans, my Apprentice"
Instantly, I spun around and lunged at the stunned Titans, moving faster than any Olympic runner. I was a blur of motion as I leapt at the Titans.
Robin was the first to react to my attack. He stood with his Bo staff ready to block my attacks. I never felt his glare leave me as he shouted.
"TITANS, GO"
The team hesitated, but began to charge at me head on. They began their normal attack patterns.
'Too easy' I thought to myself as I blocked each and every attack, dodged every blast, and avoided every hit. The teens were too enraged to realize that their patterns would fail to work without me. They needed my powers to deliver the blows.
Beast Boy roared as he morphed into a gorilla and tried to smash me with his huge fists. I lifted my arm and caught his hand in mine. He looked utterly shocked at this.
"Hmph. Not even a challenge" I growled while I threw him into a wall. I saw that Robin and Starfire were flying at Slade, who stood there nonchalantly.

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos" I muttered. Instantly my black energy spread over Stars and Robins bodies. They froze in midair, unable to move.
I looked at Slade and rose an eyebrow in question. He narrowed his eye and nodded. I clenched my hand slightly, making it look like I was doing the sith force choke or something, and swung it down. Robin and Starfire followed suit, and slammed into the ground with a loud 'thud'.
I began walking towards them as I drew my sword. The hiss of steel on steel echoed as it slid free. I grinned and pulled my hood up just as my eyes burned into their demonic red. The 2 Titans stared at me in horror as I raised my sword. That is, until a large metal hand grabbed my shoulder and pressure pointed me.
I squirmed under the hand, trying to get his hand off of me. It only tightened. I cried out as I felt a burning sonic blast fire point blank (for those of you who dont know what point blank means, it basically means to have it fired while touching you) into my back. I was sent flying into some crates, and groaned when I slammed my head.
Everything blurred slightly. But I saw all 4 Titans leap at me with everything theyve got.
With a scream of "AZARATH METRION ZINTHOS", I felt my powers lash out at them. Each Titan was surrounded with my powers, and yelled in rage as I threw them through the walls, then dropped them in the nearby river.
I sat up with a grin amd walked towards the water. Standing in the sand, I lifted my hands and caused a whirlpool to form, sucking down the Titans into darkness.
I let my arms fall to my sides and stood there, staring at where the teens had went under. After a minute of nothing but calm waters, I felt a hand touch my shoulder. I jumped and looked up at my Master.
"Come Raven. Let's go back home"
"Yes, Master"

Blightbane
Miscellaneous Notes: - I want to see about making a crude map of Shroud to help readers. - I also want to get back to writing Coalescence updates. Schedule Notes: - None for now, updates when I can. [ Thank you for your patience and support as I improve my writing and storytelling abilities. I'm also using this story to better develop lore that extends far beyond it. ] Thanks to another exceptionally talented artist, Hiroeth, Blightbane now has an official cover! Vera was alone again. “You’re completely unprepared. Never before has sending one of you off made me feel quite so guilty.” Whenever she found herself in doubt, she would weigh her actions against the guiding principles of the one whom she revered. “When you don’t know the rules of the game, start making them up. When you are constrained by unfavorable conditions, inject a little chaos.” It was the supplementary message that concerned Vera the most. It was difficult to follow because it was intentionally vague and mired in subjectivity. “How can I enjoy myself when you look so tormented? Are we in danger?” Vera fell silent. An experiment is taking place on a planetary scale. Across the surface of the planet, a phenomenon referred to as "Blight" is spreading. Festering regions defended by fierce creatures called “blightbeasts” taint the surface, warping the land and proliferating unceasingly. Among the sentient creatures of the planet, it is the Blightbane Guild’s responsibility to stem the tide. They endeavor to cleanse the land in a struggle of attrition, but they are losing ground. A young man named Caim has been uprooted from his former life and transported to The Shrouded Theocracy, an isolationist nation with fanatical policies. He must struggle to survive with only an unfamiliar strain of magic to aid him. There is a secret to this magic. One he knows very little about. He intends to explore just what makes this magic special. On the far border of the theocracy, a mage scientist named Inis discovers a revolutionary new way to infuse strength from defeated blightbeasts. Using herself as a test subject, this process allows her to grasp magical concepts previously thought beyond her reach. Though she tries to document any side effects that arise, something escapes her awareness. She is playing with a dangerous force that will claim her most treasured asset if she isn't careful. Everyone and everything on the planet is a part of the experiment. The experiment is a lie.
