《The Dark Apprentice: a teen titans fanfiction》The Strong Will Prevail

No one has found out about my betrayal yet. Only that the Titans have been missing, and the fact the the citizens of Jump City are slaves to Slade.
A white blur ran around me, but I stayed in my hunched position, my arms hanging limp. My men were about to attack, but a simple signal through their minds told them not to.
Bumblebee tackled me and pinned my to the ground, though I didnt resist. She pinned my arms with her knees and grabbed my mask. With a quick jerk, she tore it free and stared down at the face beneath.
One thing that always helped me to go under cover was that I can change the color of my eyes. Im known for my signature violet, but in this case it wouldnt work. I recalled instantly that people who were being controlled took on the eye color of their master. In the second I had before she saw my face, I changed my eye color to Slade's natural ice blue.
"Raven?" She whispered in shock. I stared back at her, keeping my face blank.
"Who are you?" I asked.
Just then, the doors opened to reveal none other than the Titans. Great.
"Bee! Get away from her!" Cyborg yells. Bumblebee's head turns to look at the new arrivals. She looks back at me.
"Too slow" I say in a mischievous voice, just before she is enveloped in my power. She was thrown immediately into the others of Titans East, who were each unconsciously sent into the arms of my men.
I stood, reached down and grabbed my mask, and attatched it back to my head. Slowly, I reached behind me and grabbed my beloved sword. With a jerk, the blade came loose and came free. It shined in the dim light of the base.

"Let's play, Titans" I sneered.
"Titans Go!" Robin yelled. But something about his voice was different. It sounded hurt.
They all charged towards me, but something was wrong. Their attack pattern was different. Starfire immediately started throwing punches at me, and when I dodged she shot me with her eye beams. As I was falling backwards, a blue blast came and hit me in the side, tearing away my cloak. I hit the ground and slid along the ground.
Before I could fully stop, a pterodactyl grabbed my ankle and lifted me into the air. The blood rushed to my head, preventing me from concentrating. I kicked out at Beast Boy, causing him to drop me. I hit the ground head first, putting a dent in my mask, and groaned. By now, the Titans surrounded me. I glanced to my men, but they lay on the ground, Titans East standing over them.
They beat me. This couldn't be possible.
"S...... Slade!" I cried desperately, putting the remainder of my strength in my voice. The Titans all prepared to strike, but before they could cause anymore harm, men burst through the doors. Men filled the room to fight off the Titans. I saw Robin charge, just before everything went black.

When I woke up, I immediately saw the forcefield of the Titans prison cells.
Great.

Authority [Dropped]
Notice: Updates are set to every other day. Or to be precise every 2-3 days. Thank you! "The theory of evolution was introduced by Charles Darwin and it baffled the world. Going by the same principle as Darwin's theory all living organisms by nature are capable of evolution to an extent. Evolution in games are always just limited however this is not a game but rather reality. However the only thing that stagnates the whole premise of evolution is the environment. Environment is always the number one factor of evolution. Going by that logic. Stimulation for survival is needed to evolve and better suit the environment. " - Titus

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
