After Hogsmeade I head up to the boys' room and swing the door open without bothering to knock and sit in an armchair placing my legs over the arm rest.
"y/n why are you still here? Aren't you tired?" Goyle asks while searching for his pajamas.
"No, not really I'm to hyped up on all the candies I bought- well the candies Draco bought, to go to sleep"
"Draco?" Crabbe questions walking out of the bathroom in his pajamas.
"I know! Odd right? He never does nice things," I say sitting upright in the armchair.
"That's strange I wonder why he would do that," Goyle adds.
Out of the corner of my eye I notice Blaise about to say something, but suddenly stops himself.
"Yes, Blaise? Any theories?" I say getting up.
"No, nothing" he says innocently.
"Are you sure? It seems like you really had something to say," I say as I walk towards him slowly.
"Drop it."
"Ugh fine, be that way. I'll see you guys in the morning," I say before opening the door.
I walk down in the direction of my room and hope that Pansy has already fallen asleep. I don't feel like putting up with her right now. I already know she's still upset over her last conversation with Malfoy and she'll be trying to take out all her anger on me. Finally arriving in front of my room I turn the doorknob quietly hoping to find Pansy asleep. Luckily she is. I let out a sigh of relief and close the door. I find some pajamas, throw them on and slide into bed.
I wake up and stretch in bed lying there for awhile not wanting to get up and get ready for another Monday. Eventually, I get up and notice that Pansys bed is empty and that all her stuff is gone too. What the fuck. On her bed I see a small folded piece of parchment and grab it as I read:

Dear Y/n,
As I'm sure you've noticed I'm gone and so are all my belongings. I've decided to transfer to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. It's this great wizarding school in France. This wasn't an abrupt decision, I'd been thinking about it for some time. I've decided that it's time for me to start over elsewhere. I think I 'll have a real shot of being happy there. Plus imagine all the drama and gossip that's waiting for me there! I decided to write you a letter rather than tell you in person because I knew you'd try to talk me out of it. Thanks for keeping it real over the past 3 years.
xx all the best,
Pansy Parkinson.
I try and wrap my head around this and the fact that she's gone now. We were best friends for 3 years, but of course I understand that she should do what is best for her.
I get ready for the day and head down to have breakfast before my first class. I notice that none of the boys are there yet and see a cheery Cedric wave me down as I walk in. I consider whether or not I should sit next to him. Sitting with another house isn't technically breaking any rules, but it is frowned upon by other students. However, I didn't really care about that today, so I decide to join Cedric for breakfast.
As I approach him I see his big group of his friends starting to disperse, some of them playfully punching and teasing him as they leave.
"Hey y/n, I've missed you" the hufflepuff says placing his hand on top of mine.
"I guess it has been awhile" I say sending him a small smile.
"So what brings you to my table this morning?"

"Can't a friend just sit with another friend as they eat breakfast?" I ask grabbing a muffin. I decide not to tell him the real reason why I'm sitting with him and how I would usually be sitting next to Pansy but she's gone.
"Yes of course, always" he says with a smile.
As me and Cedric are having breakfast I see Draco and Blaise walk into the dinning hall. They take their usual seats at the Slytherin table and start to eat. I shift my attention back to Cedric and the story he is telling, but can't help but notice familiar stone grey eyes staring daggers at me. I deicide not to look in their direction and rather give Cedric my full attention.
After breakfast I have Charms then Care of Magical Creatures. I'm especially excited about todays class of Magical Creatures since Hagrid will be teaching us about unicorns. I walk over to Hagrids Hut as the lessons mostly take place outside his hut. Upon arriving I lean against a tree waiting for class to start. While waiting, more students start to filter in and I notice a platinum blond headed girl with kind blue eyes. Luna Lovegood.
"Hey Luna I'm Y/n Y/l/n" I say getting up off the tree.
"Hello y/n, it's nice to meet you. Is there something you need?" She asks sweetly.
"Need? No, I was just hoping we could sit together," I say sending her a soft smile
"Oh, really? Sorry, I'm just so used to only having people talk to me when they need things, but yes, I would love to!" she says gleefully.
We find a log to sit on and sit next to each other as Hagrid lectures. He goes on about unicorns and about how if someone were to kill one they would go on living a half-cursed life.
At the end of the lecture Luna and I walk up to Hagrid and ask if it's okay for us to pet the unicorn. Right away Hagrid steps aside allowing us to pet it.
After my last class of the day I head off to my room to do my homework. It takes me hours to do everything and I eventually end up passing out while reading Home Life and Social Habits of British Muggles.
