《Malfoy v. Diggory (reader x draco malfoy x cedric diggory x reader love story)》chapter 53

Last week I saw a flyer in the commons for an apperation class that would take place here at Hogwarts, so naturally I signed myself up and Cedric followed. Apperating is going to be so much easier than walking or having to dust off that damn floor powder from my clothes.
Cedric and I have our first official date planned for next weekend. However, he is in charge of planning the whole thing, he wont let me help at all and is giving me no clues at to where we'll be going. And though I'm desperate to know where we are going I think keeping it a secret is romantic.
For now, having Cedric read New Moon to me is more than enough to keep my mind off it. I told Cedric about Twilight and marveled on about it for so long he was desperate to know what the hell I was constantly talking about. The week before we read Twilight together, his first time, my sixth time, and now we are on New Moon.
As I laid between his legs in his room, he held out the book in front of both of us resting it on my lap.
"Wait-" Cedric starts slightly closing the book. "Why is Edward leaving Bella, doesn't he love her?"
"Of course!" I respond. "But don't you see, he has to keep her safe and that means she can't be around him and his family."
"She can't be around Jasper," Cedric reaffirms.
"Well yes, but really, she shouldn't be around Edward either, it's a miracle he's so resistant to her blood."
"But if Edward really loves her he wouldn't leave her," Cedric says looking down at me. "Is this it for them?"
I lightly chuckle, "We're just going to have to keep reading aren't we?"
Cedric kisses the top of my head and continues with the story.
...
"3 months! He left her for 3 months?!" Cedric exclaims.
I nod my head.
"This is depressing."
"It gets better," I assure. "We'll keep reading later?"
"Yeah, I have practice right now," Cedric says tiredly as I stand from his bed to stretch.
Cedric leads me out of his room and into the hall, hugging me before I go.
"Quick question," I say taking a step back.

"Shoot."
"Team Edward or Jacob?" I ask.
Cedric hums as he gathers his thoughts, "Jacob."
I laugh, "You're just saying that because I like Edward."
Cedric playfully rolls his eyes, pushing me down the hall, "Stop distracting me Y/l/n."
Once Cedric gets me to the top of the stairs he gives me a kiss good-bye before leaving.
I have about 2 hours to kill before I can see Cedric again so I decide to go check up on my Gryffindor friends. But before doing so I walk over to Lunas dorm to see if she'd like to accompany me.
No one answered.
Maybe she's already there and hanging out with Neville.
I leave the Hufflepuff common room and walk out into the windy corridors to Gryffindor tower.
Luckily, a second year Gryffindor was approaching the tower as well and let me in. The little boy said he recognized me as Cedrics girlfriend.
"Ced helps me with my homework whenever he can, Charms in particular. I suck at them," the little boy says as we walk into the common room.
"I'll make sure Cedric keeps up so you don't fall behind," I say with a smile before the little boy wanders off.
I spot my friends laying in a corner of the common room and join them sitting in my own arm chair.
A lot happened this past summer, Ron and Hermione got together and Harry and Ginny did as well. I think the two pairs make great couples. Harry and Ginny are both strong and the most courageous people I know, they make a good fit. And as for Hermione and Ron, well Ron is there to make Hermione laugh, keep her off edge, which is just perfect.
"Where's your lover boy?" Ron asks as he slouches lazily on Hermione side.
I roll my eyes, "At practice. What are you guys up to?"
"Just hanging out," Ginny responds as she plays with Harry fingers.
I hadn't had very many encounters with Ginny, the only distinct memory I have of her is when I first met her at a Gryffindor party a year or two ago. Bold. That one word stuck with me as she pushed me into the sea of people and into Cedric arms that night.

"Have you guys seen Luna?" I ask. " I feel like I hardly ever see her anymore."
Ron starts, "She's probably out with Neville either talking to plants-"
"...Or hanging out in the forest," Harry finishes.
"Why don't we all do something tonight?" Hermione announces brightly.
"What do you propose?" Ginny asks.
She shrugs in response.
"How about a movie?" I suggest.
"And baking!" Ron adds enthusiastically.
I giggle, "And baking. Cedric doesn't get sone with practice till around 7, so will 8 work?" I ask.
They all agree.
...
Having 6 people in the kitchen baking different things made it feel like a baking a contest. Hermione and Ron were baking the classic: chocolate chip cookies, Ginny and Harry were baking snickerdoodle cookies and Cedric and I were making red velvet cookies.
Once all the cookies were placed into the several ovens the kitchen had to offer, we started cleaning up.
"What do you lot reckon is coming to Hogwarts this year?" Ron asks as he scoops handfuls of chocolate chips from the bag into his mouth.
"What're you on about?" Cedric asks as he wipes down the counter.
"Haven't you heard?" Harry adds, jumping off the counter. "Mrs. Weasley, Bill, Charlie they all know, but wouldn't tell me and Ron before we left the burrow."
"Mum says something big is coming to Hogwarts. We even had to buy dress robes for some fancy occasion that would take place this year," Ron says. "Well, Harry had to buy new dress robes, I got hand-me-downs," Ron says with a tight smile.
"Mum choose a brilliant green shade for Harrys robes, they'll compliment his eyes, so well" Ginny moons stroking Harrys arm as he blushes.
"Well I didn't think much of it when I saw that dress robes were on our list of supplies for this year," Cedric comments.
"Yeah mate, it's something special is all I know, something that hasn't happened in years," Ron says with a mouthful of chocolate.
"Well, whatever it is, I'm sure we'll be fine. It's probably just some formal event we have to attend," I say.
"Maybe," Ron responds.
"Don't go crazy speculating on the whole thing though Cedric and Y/n, Dumbledores making an announcement about it on Monday, so we'll see then," Hermione says calmly.
I nod looking over at Cedric who shares the same unknowing look, he wraps his arms around me resting his chin on my shoulder. "Reckon it's a ball?" Cedric whispers to me.
I chuckle, "Perhaps, but I wouldn't count on it."
Once the timer for our cookies go off we grab 2 large platters and move the cookies from the hot trays onto the cool plates. We then turn off the lights and close the kitchen door and head to Cedrics room.
We voted on a comedy from 1986 Ferris Beullers Day Off . We all toppled either on the bed or floor reaching for cookies as we watched the movie. I'd already seen the movie before and so had Cedric, only after I convinced him to. He really liked it though, I could tell, he though the whole idea of the movie was genius. Just as Ron and Harry would say after the movie ended.
After about two hours the movie ended and so did the endless supply of cookies. Everyone was getting rather drowsy by the end and stumbled out of the room into the halls, to make their way to their own rooms.
I too was feeling rather tired, but not Cedric he looked as awake as ever. But I was just too tired to do anything more, so I said goodnight to him.
"Where are you going?" he asks, pulling me back in.
"To sleep," I say with a small laugh, "where else would I be going so late?"
"Oh, I though we were going to keep reading about Bella and Edward and Jacob and Alice and-"
"Ok Ok!" I laugh, "You sure know how to get your way don't you?" I say walking across the room towards him.
"I guess so," he says with a smirk as he preps into his reading position on the bed.
I join him laying between his legs, "I can't promise I'll stay awake for the whole time, much less if you read aloud."
"Is my voice soothing?" Cedric asks quirking an eyebrow.
"No, it's like rocks," I respond sarcastically.
We both laugh.
Cedric starts reading, picking up were we last left off, reading aloud like always.
