Award-winning rock musician Kris Maya had just held a ground-breaking concert, with an arena packed with his most die-hard fans. His songs that contemplated the human condition: desires, love, pain, loss, fantasy and reality, and his philosophy towards life have garnered a great number of people to follow his every move and as he strummed the last chord that signaled the end of his song, he stumbled in pain and collapsed. With a smile, he closed his eyes on the curtains of his final concert in this life. As the applause of his show turned to become murmurs of worry and disbelief, he was happy and excited. Still, he felt that he was ready and he was anticipating his return to the world where all his past mistakes left a grueling and bloody mark on its history. This world that he filled with his music had taught him many lessons. In Earth, the power of music served as his gateway to learning. When he returns to his former world, his overwhelming power of magic will teach others the same lessons; the bloodshed being the only difference. It was now time to pay it forward.

Follow Ryan, a false precognitive as he works to join the Power Regulation Agency, the premier organization in charge of categorizing and managing dangerous abilities. Along the way, he will have to face criminals and murderers of the worst sort, while enduring the scorn of his peers and coworkers, as he struggles to overcome the stigma of his own abilities and do something to improve the world. It is better to die knowing. Listen. The world as you know it is not as you know it. It is a construction, a facade, a mural painted over the world to hide the fact that it is very broken on some fundamental levels. That there exists an entire spiritual realm, one of cognition and perception and memory and that it teems with awful life. The world was not made for us. Jacob Irwing is a fairly normal 26 year old American man. He's an amateur photographer, unmarried and does not work in his chosen field. He is also dying, right now, in the first chapter of this story. Someone has put a bullet in him. Agent Z is a fairly abnormal woman of no nationality. Her age is classified. Her name is classified. Her background? You better believe it's classified. She works for the people who hide the truth. She is going to wake up with a hole in her head in the first chapter of this story, surrounded by corpses and also by a dying fairly normal 26 year old American man. Burned and seemingly abandoned by the Agency, Agent Z has lost her memory, her security clearance and her authorisation. All that she's gained is Jacob, who is thoroughly in this shit now. Together they must work to uncover the truth, if any such thing even exists, in this erratic urban fantasy weird-fic. Updates every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Australian time.
