Mkay,

~
You were a very sick child from the start, however the illness became worse to where you would have to be in the hospital once and awhile because you kept puking out blood and body fluid. So, here you were. Back on the bed, the heart monitor beeping to your heart beat.
Breathe in....breathe out...
While laying on your bed, you heard Tsunade's voice ring in the hallway.
"GET ROCK LEE TO A BED, IMMEDIATELY!"
The sounds of a patient carrier's wheels echoed in the hallway as it seemed to zoom past your room. You sat up slowly, dizziness hitting your once you sat up. "I wonder who Rock Lee is..." you whispered, looking down at the IV. Though you wouldn't dare to force your body to move, you wanted to peek more.
You could still hear her voice, telling them orders and such. Rock Lee, whoever the guy was, would not be getting surgery. Because after all, you knew very well the surgery room was on the third floor instead of the first.
A sudden cough came from your throat violently, causing you to stop the moment of curiosity as you felt something climb up your throat. Again, blood stained your hospital gown as you tired to stop the coughing. Eventually, it stopped, your heart beating a thousand times before you could calm down.
A nurse came on in, Shizune you believe was her name, with a frown on her face. "It seems we'll have to get you a new one. You know not to move around to much, your organs are at a very weak state right now-" she scolded you in a motherly way, gently pushing your back.
Your almost emotionless eyes looked up to her.
"Who's Rock Lee, Lady Shizune?" you asked the short haired woman. "Oh, he just got his legs all messed up, I suppose. We need to further inspect his body." Shizune hummed, checking your blood pressure and other things.
You nodded, the tray of pill medications in front of you. "Take them now before you fall asleep again." she told you, handing you a large glass of water. After that, she helped you change out the blood stained hospital gown for a new one. Thanking her, you took each medication; some small, some huge, some clear, and some white or eggnog colored. Watching her walk out the room, you sighed softly.
"I wish I was Rock Lee."
~
Several weeks had passed, and you were finally able to walk around. Though, your legs were wobbly and your dizziness would always be there. But because of its long terminal illness you gotten used to it by now. Holding onto the IV hanger with the bluish liquid, you were ready to see who this "Rock Lee" was.

Many nurses knew you, so once they saw you out they immediately wondered if you were okay.
"Y/n? Stay in your room, you shouldn't be-" "Rock Lee. I want to know where his room is."
One woman with blue hair looked at another nurse, who shrugged before pointing at a door five doors down to the right of you. Thank goodness it wasn't a long walk. "Thank you." you whispered, giving them a small smile before walking to the door.
Gently knocking on it with your weak hands, you waited for a reply. But it never came. Not only that, you were too impatient to wait. So, you opened the door, seeing a sleeping guy with some weird bowl on his head. Oh wait..that was his hair....
A fresh white flower was in a clear bottle next to his bed, as the light shined on his lights. Realizing that he probably couldn't speak with you, you headed back to the door.
Just as your hand went to grab for the door knob, Rock Lee groaned loudly, slowly sitting up from his bed. "It's morning...." he groggily spoke, opening his eyes. He was shocked to see a rather a girl with dead eyes, who looked back into his. You didn't say anything for a moment before you nodded slowly.
"It is."
Sitting up, Rock Lee placed his hands on his lap. "Who are you? You don't look like a nurse.." he told you. "I'm not....but you must be Rock Lee." you whispered, placing your hand back to your side, grabbing the IV. He slowly nodded, staring at the needle on your hand and the IV carrier next to you. "I am Y/n." you said slowly, bowing down. "It is an honor to meet you."
Taken back by this shorter girl, he froze. "G-Gomen, it is an honor to meet you too! Have a seat, I haven't had any guests except Sakura!" Rock Lee told you, wincing as he patted the seat next to him. Moving over to the seat, you awkwardly looked down at the floor. Maybe you should've thought this through...
"Yoshi! Seeing you makes me feel awake!" he exclaimed, your smile reappearing. "You already are though..." you said, the sweat dripping from his bushy brow. "I-I meant I felt excited..." he mumbled. Coughing, he watched as Tsunade stepped in. Looking at you, she angrily glared at you.
"You're placed to many times in this hospital because you're too stubborn to let your body heal, Y/n." Tsunade said, crossing her arms. "Stage three of emphysema is no joke. Report back to your room before the nurses start freaking out." she said a bit softer.
Rock Lee's expression went back to a sorrowed one, watching you stand up with the IV stand. "Come back another day, Y/n." he said, waving goodbye to you. Walking past Tsuande, you nodded, waving goodbye back before the door was shut in front of your face.

~~
Several weeks have passed. You began to visit Lee more and more often (with permission of Shizune, of course). At the moment, he was walking around the room...on his hands.
"One hundred fifty...." he mumbled as you sat on his bed, reading a book silently. "One hundred fifty one..." Rocky's hands began to tremble, still getting used to moving in the first place.
You placed the book down, smiling at him. "I think you should take a break, Lee." you said, his reddened face looking at you in its upside down angle. "I must continue! I must complete five hundred handstand walking laps, and if I don't it's three hundred finger push ups. I would do more but Tsunade Sama won't let me..."
You've never tried to workout; Emphysema made it difficult to simply breathe. It always left a sharp pain in your chest IF you didn't take your medication, which helped the pain by numbing it down. So instead you imagined it: being the world's fastest runner. In fact, you envied Rock Lee. You continued watching him for the remainder of the last handstand walks.
"FIVE HUNDRED!
He fell down gently with his feet landing first, the rest of his body out of reflex standing up correctly. Slowly the color from his face became back to normal.
"Rock Lee?" you asked him quietly, who grabbed a bottled water and took a sip out of it. "Hwmh?" his muffled voice rang through the inside of the bottle. "I'm happy for your recovery." you said.
"I'm happy you get to be able to get out of here alive."
Placing his bottle down, he raised an eyebrow. "What're you talking about, Y/n?!"he asked, sitting down next to you. "You're strong, just like me!" Shaking your head, your cheeks dusted a light pink. "No I'm not, Lee. Maybe my mind is strong, but my body is weak. I know this is funny to ask of....but when you go back out there don't forget me, okay?" you said, blushing more as you stared into his dark eyes.
Nodding, he placed a hand on your shoulder. "Of course, My Lotus!" he exclaimed. "Lotus?" you repeated, the same action of a nod from Rock Lee.
"Mhm! You are beautiful...and even in a world where you're sick and hospitalized, you still have a brightness in you. I couldn't see it in your eyes before...but now I do. That's why you remind me of a lotus, Y/n."
Just at that moment, your body shivered as you coughed loudly, startling Rock Lee. "Y/n!?" he said, watching your body lean over the bed as the blood came oozing out your mouth. With shaky hands you tried to cover your mouth. You don't remember much after that; it became a haze after your eyes shut and your coughing stopped only to leave the strong chest pain throughout your body.
You remember the muffled screaming of Rock Lee getting the nurses.
~
Breathe in....Breathe out....
The heart monitor.
Opening your eyes, it was a blur for about a couple of seconds. Someone was in the room, sitting with their head on your bed. You could tell from the feeling that tickled your bent knee; medium length hair that was straight and soft.
Slowly looking down to see who it was, your leg unblocked your view to see a sleeping Rock Lee with a pillow supporting his head. His legs were on the weird added planks that extended outwards to his wheelchair he was in. You cringed at the fact it probably was very uncomfortable.
"Lee." you whispered, smiling weakly as the headache pounded in your head. Pushing yourself up with your weak arms, you noticed the pink lotus flower inside of a jar filled with water. It was a fresh one, almost as if it was just placed in the jar.
"hn..." Rock Lee mumbled, his hand grabbing your shin unintentionally as he sat up. Looking at where his hand was, he quickly moved it. "Gomen." he said, yawning loudly and extending his arms.
Placing your hands in your lap, you leaned back on the large pillow. "How long was I out for?" you asked him. "About a week. Tsunade has been planning a medical treatment for you so you won't have to deal with it anymore." Rock Lee told you, a wide smile on his face.
Widening your pupils, you purse your lips. "A medical treatment that can cure my emphysema?!" you said quite loudly, which was cracked. As Rock Lee handed you a cup of water that was next to the Lotus jar, your eyes began to tear up. Taking a quick sip of it you placed it down again.
Your tears ran down your face, Rock Lee giving you a closed smile as he laughed in a quiet tone. "Don't cry..." he said, wiping them away as your teeth showed and your cheeks lifted up. "Gomen, gomen....I'm just excited." you told him, placing your hand over his that was on your skin. Closing your eyes, you leaned in on his hands.
"Now we can get out of this hospital together," Rock Lee told you, the heat rising to his cheeks.
"My Lotus."

Office Days
Follow Captain Monday and the Weekdays team as they fight the good fight against the villainous Weekends. Oh, and file form a33-2 before eoq3. Comes with a dash of The Office and Office Space plus a side of Super Hero satire. Office Days is episodic in nature. So each story is standalone and may vary in length and focus. The Monday Case is the first episode and serves mostly to introduce the characters broadly. Comments get +Rep for effort. This setting was intended to be a comic series but I never found an artist for the job... probably for lack of trying. The "art" is for concept only... it took me far too long to make and it's still all sub-par.
